Is Sarah Palin making your Kool-aid? Careful; there's probably fertility drugs in it.

Thanks to all of you that voted! To those that voted Barack Obama, good job; you voted just the way Al-qaeda and all our other countless enemies wanted you to. May God have mercy on us these next four years.

Are you kidding - Al Quada is devasted that Bush is gone. He's the one who allowed them into Iraq! Now we might actuallly FIND Osama bin Laden or did you forget that the "Military" backing of Bush and McCain lets him continue to run free?

      • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:38:46 PM

I think you are both a little delusional.

I feel like we are all dissecting him by everything on the outside. Is anyone out there looking at what things he wants to change. He says he wants to change. What does he want to change? How about No Child Left Behind that is screwed up he says that they are going to pretty much go back and fix it. I hope they remember Music Education! What about the war? That will be a major change. We never belonged there in the first place.

I tried in vein to find any network or cable news station that offered unbiased reporting of the election process. The exception may be PBS.

Why is it that during the election campaign, ALL candidates state when elected I'll do this and that etc., but then when elected it doesn't happen? The DEMS have controlled congress for the last two years. Why didn't they introduce legislation to do what they campaigned for? The same holds true for the republicans for the 6 years prior to that. And why didn't Bill Clinton address national healthcare during the 8 years he was president. I'm sure Hillary had his ear if not the fateful cigar. Promises, promises, but then 4 years of gridlock. Winning candidates should be held accountable for promises made and never acted upon, let alone not accomplished.

Wimpy liberals want everything taken care of for them, but they want the Right to pay for all of it . Don't bite the hand that feeds you, since your not willing to feed yourself.

Since the beginning of this political two year cycle, I have become a CNN news junky. The commentators are very well informed and quite enthused to share their impressions with us. Therefore, CNN was the first channel we selected last evening. We did briefly switch to ABC and found their graphics to be more confusing and their commentators to be more weary than the group on CNN. I would select two things that I would state as negatives in the CNN coverage. The first was in the constant reference to the 2004 election. I think that we could have been told about the changes rather than have John King show us the current map and then jump back to the former map only to have to go and explain the changes anyway. The next was in the extensive list of how voters were broken down per registration and exit polls. Perhaps it is important for strategists to know this, but any minute I was expecting to hear how left-handed flute players voted. Aren't we ALL Americans? Shouldn't we be counted as such?

Maybe the news media didn't want the NAACP coming after them for not giving Obama is more then far share of air time.

    • Posted By: js1958 @ 11/05/2008 2:29:27 PM

should have been fair share, oops

Are all the people and the media as dumb as the act. Take a look at all the facts about Obama, anyone that made him look bad he shoved to the side. Wonder what he will do to all the other counteries who don't like what he says.

    • Posted By: innocentbystander @ 11/05/2008 2:15:50 PM

No see you're confusing him with BUSH and the other REPUBLICANS who refuse to talk to other countries -- which was very strongly pointed out in every debate held!

      • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:26:45 PM

Actually, you are both right. Now if only you both can stop being biased and see the whole picture maybe this country would be a great and respected nation once again.

    CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MEDIA !
I always thought the medias job was to report news not make news!

    • Posted By: waittosee @ 11/05/2008 2:23:42 PM

That's when the media was respectable, not EGOTISTICAL!!!!!

    • Posted By: linnamary @ 11/05/2008 12:33:02 PM

I totally agree, the media makes its own news, and they need to have some guidlines employed.

  • Posted By: gerzacpat @ 11/05/2008 2:22:14 PM

I'm sure Obama knows exactly where bin Laden is. Seriously. In Obama's guest room.

I watched Faux Noise for the first time in a VERRRY long time, thereby risking skewing the results and simultaneously lowering my IQ by about thrity points. What a joy to see the smirk disappear from Rove's jowls by 8:30 Eastern!

    • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:17:24 PM

      It's "thirty" not "thrity."

  • Posted By: gerzacpat @ 11/05/2008 2:11:25 PM

I think Americans got it wrong.Just remember, don't drink the koolaid.

    • Posted By: West is lost @ 11/05/2008 2:17:15 PM

It wasn't America that voted it was the media that is who got it wrong not the actual people because the votes of the people weren't even tallied and they already had a winner

  • Posted By: GinnyA52 @ 11/05/2008 1:42:58 PM

What a dumb question, the media was one-sided, of course, nothing but obama, obama, obama, the media was stuck in 'stupid mode' all night and still is. Got so boring I turned the tv off.

    • Posted By: innocentbystander @ 11/05/2008 2:16:34 PM

Really - then why were so many people talking about Sarah Palin?

  • Posted By: MeNYou @ 11/05/2008 2:01:27 PM

I watched Fox for the first time in a VERRRRY long time. It was such a joy to see the smirk disappear from Rove's jowls by 8:30 Eastern.

The left wing media advertised for Obama for the last two years. He didn't need to spend any money..You elected your man...change is coming but I don't think you will like it when it does..The real change needs to come in the legislature. They are responsible for the economic mess we are in. We need to throw everyone out and start over with reps not will to put compromise on the top of their list.

  • Posted By: js1958 @ 11/05/2008 2:09:39 PM

MeNYOU, your IQ dropped when you couldn't spell thirty

    • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:14:24 PM

How ironic when someone is trying to make an IQ joke, they make a mistake of their own. That truly is funny.

  • Posted By: suschneider @ 11/05/2008 1:57:52 PM

West is lost: the only votes that counted last night was the votes by the media

    • Posted By: West is lost @ 11/05/2008 2:09:00 PM

isn't that the truth They had it decided long before anyone even went to the polls, Sad thing is this was the most costly election but if you get dish network a whole channel was dedicated to the OB plan it will be a change but is it for the good? I guess in 4 years we will see

  • Posted By: kearl.np @ 11/05/2008 2:08:17 PM

Jason---THEY spent a billion dollars on the elction, not HE.

I wish that the media would just report the facts as they occur without stating any conclusions from those facts. The American People are intelligent enough to make their own conclusions as to how the facts will affect them. Telling the public how they should think about the facts or reporting only the facts that the media believes we should receive is biased and tainted reporting. About the election night reporting, from the very first minute, it was clear that the media was pro democrats and anti republicans. Every interview was purely focused on the democrats and the few with a republican gave the impression of the person being almost verbally attacked by the news anchor. We no longer have news reporters in the media - we have information brokers. They report the information in a very slanted point of view. (probably paid for by those with the money to pay for their point of view to be presented)

    • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 2:08:06 PM

What, you want the media to do the actual job that they were intended to do? How can you ask such a question? Money is more important than reporting the news the way our Founding Fathers suggested.

Notice that the majority of pro-FOX comments contain massive spelling/grammatical errors. What a bunch of twits. They believe coverage is fair and balanced only because they don't watch (or READ) anything that is in opposition to their beliefs.

Conservatives it's okay to admit when you are wrong...to have an OPEN mind...and to actually think about the result of your actions and words. It really is...

That is something that the Bush Administration and its RABID followers could not - and most likely will not - get a grasp of.

McCain did change over the past few years. He was a much different person four years ago. During an appearance on the Daily Show after the 2004 election; John Stewart remarked after their conversation "this man is now MY president." I wanted McCain to be president back then!!!

And in the end, this change of personality/position/opinion is what did him in...NOT the media coverage biased/straight/or otherwise.

And if anyone saw his comments on the plane flying to AZ, you could tell that he knew what the results were going to be before the polls closed. So as much as I don't like them reporting "projections" before the polls close everywhere - the campaigns knew how the night was going to end up long before the networks called it.
