The media has been biased all along.... why not one more night. I also live in California and you know how many people told me.."why vote, it doesn't matter here in California anyway". I personally voted for McCain....but sadly those guys were right.. California was given to Obama even before the votes were tallied. I think it is all fixed WAY before the election....we now have our new "king". I sure hope he delivers what everyone thought he would.God help our country.....

My issue with corporate media is what they don't report i.e. The bush family and Nazi ties, an unbiased 9/11 investigation, and the Century for a New America document calling for an imperialist America. I do like Chris, Keith, and Rachel on MSNBC because they are the only ones that have come close to asking the critical questions about our government.

I agree with you some what, but not MSNBC. They are just as bias as Fox. If you ever want to break free from the brainwashing media, you will have to truly find a network and printed media that is almost completely unbiased. I believe Lou Dobbs comes the closest, but even he is human and has his opinion though he tries hard to not show it. I respect that in him.

We know what Obama will do, Raise Taxes period. The real issue is what his wife will do. Her agenda will be to promote the African American race, changes that will be far reaching on a long standing basis. Taxes can be repealed, but her "Angry Black Woman" issues cannot. P.S. The parents of the wonderful white youth that "mobilized" for one day in there life, need to cut off their financial support and let them join the ranks of the group they are so proud of, particullarly since those same parents are going to have an additional 30% tax burden placed upon them.

You scare me with your crazy racist fears and hate. Where does it come from...parents/ your education? do you actually know any black people--or is this a product of years and years of listening to invective and rhetoric? I seriously would like to know.

I wish that there was one station that just reported the news with no spin. Just one.

    • Posted By: kernliving @ 11/05/2008 2:01:35 PM

HeavyZ wants one news station to report the news for our country....just like our old friends Hitler, Stalin, Castro & No. Korea's Kim Jung has...truly enlightened.

It seems as if the media nnd the networks did a fine job. They got their man elected, didn't they?

  • Posted By: gerzacpat @ 11/05/2008 1:58:14 PM

Just goes to show the weakness of people. How many do know the facts? One network showed how many "jabs" that McCain got, compared to Obama. The truth is if Obama received the amount of flack that McCain got, it would be racist. That is a damn fact.
Also, how many of the "poor" people who voted, did so blindly, when voting for the issues, other candidates, etc. I do not see this as a step forward. I predict utter mayhem.

Wow, it sure seems the Republican right got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

    • Posted By: JWelhaus @ 11/05/2008 1:56:34 PM

I'm not a Republican and I can relate to most of their thoughts. I guess you can say it's common sense, but wait, I don't know how common, common sense is any more.

  • Posted By: YNot_77 @ 11/05/2008 1:56:30 PM

Good job America! Now your really in deep s%#%! We have a president who isn't proud to be an American. How can you be so stupid to ignore all the issues that was addressed with Obama? He had no ground to stand on except change and dodged any conflicting issues. That tells me a lot, I have lost faith in this generation and it will probably only get worse. A liberal, communist, radical, anti-american president is all we need, thanks.

They announced the winner before the west coast was even counted so I am wondering did our vote really count out here because it was just as our polls closed and the votes were not even tallied makes you wonder how many changed their vote at the last minute due to not wanting to vote for a loser
sad when 1 coast doesn't matter so much for equal oppertunity

Is Keith Olberman for real? This man? could be the worst example of a journalist that has ever existed. The only reason to watch this clown is to see what far out leftist approah he takes on any subject. It makes for good humor in such dreary times. He has to be made up, right?

  • Posted By: pancho @ 11/05/2008 1:07:48 PM

For my taste, MSNBC, was the best! Fox' noice as usual showed their bias about the Democratic party! it was painful to see Bill Crystal, it looked as if he just lost his best friend!
CNN was also fun to waatch!

Ah, yes Billy Krystal. This certainly puts a thorn in the Neo-Conservative plan for world domination and resources. At the very least, he should be tried as a war criminal. Explain the New American Century document that explained a case for an American empire, but to get widespread approval required a " catalyzing event" like a new Pearl Harbor; written September 2000.

  • Posted By: twoeyesopen @ 11/05/2008 1:52:46 PM

The media was overwhelmingly pro Obama in every aspect of their reporting. The media know the influence they have with their one sided reporting. Too bad the average "Joe the Plumber" doesn't.

  • Posted By: Disgusted in America @ 11/05/2008 1:50:37 PM

Well, amen people. Thank you for posting. There has been no fair media coverage since day one. So it worked ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, EVERY newspaper, and the list is endless. Good work. How far you have fallen from the mark, and how uncredible you have become. Count me in on not buying products from sponsors of these networks.

  • Posted By: sicomedia @ 11/05/2008 1:49:48 PM

The news media was completely out of line. Their biased reporting is disgusting on all sides. CNN was particularly reviling beginning back in the earlier primaries. People who believe any of these agenda-prone reporters, pundits, experts, analysts are only proving they cannot think for themselves.

  • Posted By: Anyuta01 @ 11/05/2008 1:43:55 PM

It is very dissapointing how the media treated McCain, he did not have an equal chance to this election because of the media coverage. I hope Americans realize that we are not being fed equally balanced information, it is all tilted to the Left. Notice how all the news correspondents got teary-eyed when Obama won.

  • Posted By: Disenchanted American @ 11/05/2008 1:43:53 PM

If I were a journalist for any of the 3 network news division, I wouldn't admit it. The bias, especially at CBS & NBC was outrageous. The scary thing is they don't care. I'm sure that all 3 had tons of nasty emails regarding their coverage of the campaign. Nothing changed, they just went along merrily reporting news to the masses that they wanted us to hear. THEY DON"T CARE WHAT WE THINK. So maybe those of us who are truly frightened by the media should stop buying their advertisers products. Money talks people, if they don't have advertisers paying for commercials...what will happen?

  • Posted By: cantwaitfor2012 @ 11/05/2008 1:41:44 PM

I wish politics had played at least a part in this election. Too bad views and policies didn't play a part at all.

  • Posted By: Herc2U @ 11/05/2008 1:39:18 PM

You chose to evaluate the media coverage based on "Technology" and "Personalities"??? I don't recall those being "Elements of Journalism". I always thought an obligation to the truth was the first and foremost element of good journalism. This obligation is supposedly supported by a verification of data and source material. Or, I thought it was. And where was fairness and objectivity? I won't stoop to the level of evaluating the various channels on their coverage. Each of them was flawed. Each of them violated the priciples of idependence from those they covered. Every channel couched their verbage in terms that spun the coverage to their advantage. Withheld information and partial truths are not what objective journalism is all about. I'm sick of the political cronyism displayed not just by the local media and the printed media, but also by the national media. It may as well be Paid Political Advertising. Understand that I'm not upset that Obama won. I believe Obama is a believer in the American dream. He's a bright hope for the people of our nation to cheer for. I only worry that his policies are not well developed and will just revert back to the age-old Democratic Platform. I wasn't on board with the Republican plan for health care and fiscal reform, either. So the fact that John McCain and Sarah Palin lost isn't upsetting to me. What's upsetting is that I couldn't read about the various plans and policies objectively in the paper or get the unbiased truth from CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News. Obama is an eloquent speaker compared to John McCain. The press doted on him and reveled in every empty word he said. On the other hand, they spared no opportunity to revile John McCain or Sarah Palin for mistakes and shortfalls in their performances. Unfortunately, I feel let down by the McCain/Palin ticket, because they were appalingly inept at the same time Obama was glib and Biden was in check. It would have been very difficult to recover from association with the Republican Party after a particularly painful run by Bush/Cheney. Palin was never given the opportunity to open up and show more of her than the "Hockey Mom" that Republican Strategists thought would work best. That failed, but the press sank their teeth in and wouldn't let go. Talk about "Pit Bulls". I think it's time for our nation to embrace the results of the election, regardless of your political sides, and work towards meaningful change. Part of that change should be a total revamp of the process involved in political reporting by the media. Truth. Verification of Sources. Fairness and objectivity. Independence from your sources. Beholden only to the truth of the matter. No hidden agendas. I'm disheartened about the coverage.

Why is it that people have to be so mean-spirited? We are all AMERICANS first and foremost. Put on your big kid pants and remember that it's not about democrats or republicans. It's about AMERICA. Until we stop this juvenile in-fighting, our country is going to remain in shambles--bankrupt and embarassing.

I didn't vote for President-elect Obama, but he's my president now and I have to swallow that pill. Pray for him; pray for McCain; pray for the country; but PLEASE STOP THE NAME CALLING AND FIGHTING. GROW UP.

"The media did a VERY SORRY job"

I'm glad someone else saw that too. The Media (short of Fox News) is too one sided anymore. They were calling the election before information started coming in. They were unfair to McCain and Palin, and very pro Obama. We now live in a counry that you can no longer say anyone can become President. You have to be filthy rich, and be a favorite of the socialist news networks that are out there. It's pathetic!
