HEY JOE THE PLUMBER MMATEO; YOU ARE SO STUPID. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ABORTION.
shut your ignorant-ass up you dimwitted ***.
Comment: Hey Mmateo; Comment: Hey Desertbutterfly if you really want an answer to your question of how could a person born in Kenya become President of the United States of America, you will probably be able to ask him yourself in person when he is sworn in on January 2009 as the 44th President of the United States of America.
Couldn't have said it better myself! You go, girl!
If you are mad or confused about '08 election results, you have been sleeping, especially for the past 8 years. Do the human race a favor, go back to sleep. This country is moving forward together, if you want to be hateful and don't want to be a part of the American team, GET OUT, YOU don't belong here.
So......we should just be follow the Herd? That's so American! I didn't like Bush and sure as heck don't like this socialist Obama. What's his solutions to our problems, more government? Isn't it the government that got us into this mess in the first place?
Meggan S. You said what a lot of people are thinking. That is the ones who think for themselves. Some people are just fooled when someone can make a good speech and don't look any further than that.
you mistake your ideological brainwashing for thinking for yourself. stick to the sticks you hick, while the enlightened world moves on.
really well said- the uninformed go by how it is said as opposed to what is said- Obama speaks crptyically- last night he said - "get ready for service and sacrfice"- code for socialism of course- maybe I can serve in his civilain army!!
We're not a nation under God anymore; we haven't been for a few decades. Our nation caters to those are offended by God. Our nation has turned its back on God and so he is showing us the same courtesy.
Our nation under the leadership of George W Bush may have turned their selves from GOD but remember you are responsible for this destruction for voting for that demon.
People did not just start to turn their backs on God during the Bush Administration! This nation as a whole blew it a long time ago. First of all, the Supreme Court threw our Constitution out the window. If you take God out of our public schools, governmental system and the workplace, then what's left?
Boogaloo--- I totally agree with your comment. It's nice to see that there are still people out there who can see things the way that they are.
Sorry for you. You don't know God like I know God.
God doesn't offend my at all, his hypocrite followers not following the true Christian values of tolerance, compassion, humility do though.
Because of our wonderful press and TV news? (ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC for starters) the majority of Americans has little or no knowledge of the multiple lies concerning Obama Hussein Baraka, his real name who, according to his mother and sister was born in Afrika and is not a legal citizen. His lies concerning his family's background, if known, would have scared us all, not just the one's of us who is more diligent in looking for truth. So now we have an Arab muslim President who can only claim 12 1/2% membershit in the Afrikan race.
BEAPER, It kills me how you die hard republicans still insist on telling these lies. Do you really think that the Bush regime would have allowed someone not an American citizen even run for election? The first thing they would have done if this was true is make sure he did not run for the Presidential post.
To the rest of you folks screaming the lie that he is Muslim, I guess you forgot this country is based on religious freedoms. That means any religion can be practiced here, but you militant Christians scream if anyone not a Christian even tries to run for office. NOWHERE in the constitution is it required for a President to be Christian. So please get over yourselves and stop spreading this silly lie. Besides it does not matter what religion he is as long as he follows the laws of the USA.
It???s not God I have a problem with, it???s his rabid fan club that scares me.

what are the chances of spending another 10 minutes on a friggin post and that it will disappear into the wind? AOL surely must have a hand in this website.
McCain now owes America the duty to clean up the mess he made in this country with his poisonous campaign.
As you can see from some of the posters here who have swallowed the poison, the ugly effects linger on beyond their DECISIVE DEFEAT.
JOHN: IF YOU TRULY LOVE AMERICA YOU MUST CLEAN UP THE MESS YOU LEFT BEHIND.
to: AMERICAN NIGHTMARE - I served 30 years in the US Armed Forces. If anytime in those 30 years, I got tagged for a "no notice" or surprise "Urine/blood" test for drug use and it came back positive? My ass would have been DISHONORABLY DISCHARGED. But no, NOT our new President. He is the new commander-in-chief but it is alright for him to have experimented with drugs when he was younger. sucker is only 40+ years old, how much younger are we talking about? Two or ten years old? Deng? Now, we will gladly change our country's name to United States of Kenya......
I was also in the military and if you were in for 30 years you did not get drug tested early in your career as that did not even start until the early 80's
you must have been in the boy scouts. In 1973, we did not get tested regularly. We got tested sporadically or when suspected. There were things like barraks "shake down inspections" but you were in the boy scouts so you would not know anything about those 2 ro 3 am inspections with MP's coming around with dogs sniffing for drugs. They don't have those on boy scout camp grounds. Sorry.....
Your exiting (too bad he can't get an early pass), was the poster child for drug and alcohol abuse well into adulthood (I believe it was past his 40th birthday!). So, none of that stuff flies. A lot of people under 60 experimented with recreational drugs in their youth but left it behind as they became adults. Get on board with reality, we tried it your way for 8 years after 2 questionable elections. Its our turn now, but unlike you guys we will take the high road and help you too. My country is coming back!
yeah, keep taking the "high" road and stay high up there with your experimental drugs so called. duh? the last 3 presidents did these: Clinton smoked butt did not inhale. he inhaled Lesinski's wet stuff though; GWB DUI in 1974 and barak osama said he experimented with drugs and that's supposed to be ok for commander in chief whose armed forces get drug tested and members gets discharged for drug use? morons...... take the high road to China yup
and didn't that fool who currently occupies the white house abuse coke AND alcohol? and he wasn't even in his twenties, hell, he was grown!
That comment was great!!! Tell them like it is
A gracious concession speech by McCain, the true McCain - too bad the true McCain has been missing for the past several months. Alas, it was not his time, his time was in 2000. McCain's biggest problem - BUSH. Bush worst and dumbest EVER! He was never president over ALL the people of this fine country. If you want to be president of a country, you HAVE to be leader of ALL the people, not just the rich ones, not just the ones that look like you, and not just the ones of your political party. Personal goals were more important to Bush rather than being honest and good and moral. At any cost and using any corrupt means would that thick-skulled idiot use to reach HIS and Cheney's goals.
hey Newsweek...stop sending me subscription renewal notices. After you have so blatantly jumped off a cliff to the left and do nothing but bias "reporting" and bashing anything Republican, I am no longer interested in your rag. Many years and dollars wasted with you it seems. Seems Time magazine is even more neutral in their publishing effort. You are the weakest link. Good-bye!!
WBONORA- Finger pointing solves nothing. There is a diference between real Christians and what you call Christians. Just like there is a difference between Muslims and radical Muslims, Santanists and Wiccans, Atheists and Agnostic and so on. Don't blame Christians for the mess this country is in- they are the ones who created this country and the constitution based on their faith. By the way, you say they do nothing for the country? Who do you think makes up the overwhelming majority of population in the military? CHRISTIANS.

I have a question for anyone with a college degree? Do you have student loans to pay back??
Im` sick and tired of hearing about this guy who yelled out Kill him at a Sarah Palin rally. It comes up all the time as if the pepole that attend of Mcain/Palin rallys are radical republicans ! Yet i never hear hardly anything from the liberal media about the people in the audiences of Obama rallies wearing t shirts that say ABORT SARAH PALIN or MILF I WOULD LIKE TO KILL! That is a ridiculous comment by the writer of this article and should be ashamed of themselves! It is wrong to portray Mcain supporters as radicals just as it's wrong to portray Obama as muslim.
Mr. Obama won (in part) based on the most cynical of issues, class warfare. Promising 95% of the population someone elses hard earned money is a great way to get 95% of the vote. What happens when the hard working segment of the population that takes the financial risk to start something that will generate jobs finally realizes the risk and price paid in sweat is not worth the reward? The 95% waiting on a handout will be sorely disappointed that the gravy train has derailed. Taking someone elses property(financial wealth) used to be unconstitutional, now it is called the democratic way. Mr McCain did run a poor campaign, with every mistep gleefully reported in a most compliant lapdog media. It is amazing when the liberal press rports that their own coverage of this campaign was especially biased towards Mr. Obama(Wash Post editorial). I just want to know when I am going to receive my US Senate health care coverage. A tax refund would also be in order... the sooner the better.
I disagree with the author of this article. He seemspolitically oriented and IGNORES THE RED FLAGS. MCain might have had a not so sucessful campaign, however, what he said was TRUE. Obama indeed had close ties with criminals, got his house for almost nothing, loved Jeremia Wright as his own grandma and used connections to get lower mortgage rates then others, indeed got financing from radicals, trained ACORN himself, and represented only black people, as a lawyer so QUESTION HIS MOTIVES. His aunt who is ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT lives off Boston Public Housing. So you can pay for her illegal lifestyle. And yes, its a serious crime, crime against me: she robs me and my family from the services the government provides us and discriminates against me because I came to this country legally. Good luck everyone who thinks they will have a better life,oh too late, the country voted, well, I am ashamed. I am ashamed to call him my president!!!
you are so right!! the media is looking the other way on everything with this guy--
If you won't tlak about things due to a persons heritage - it;s reverse discrimination
case closed-- where did this guys money comefrom when we are broke--follow the money
and i am ashamed that you call yourself an american. Stop the hating, dimwit.
Here's why McCain didn't win the Presidency. 1) Obama had countless millions of dollars in campaign funds to help him buy his way into the White House and as yet, no one has suggested hiring an independent forensic accountant to find out where the money came from, i.e. from those in this country and in foreign countries., 2) McCain had only honor and courage in his background, Obama had Wright, Rezko, Ayers and countless other left wing radicals in his closet which the liberal media helped him hide throughout the campaign, 3) Bottom line is that this WAS a race issue because 95% of the black population chose to vote for him because he was black. Many of these black voters didn't even know what his platform was and didn't care, they just wanted a black man in a White House, 4) Obama had ACORN in his back pocket and those that were involved with that unscrupulous group did their very best to ensure that the voter registration process was fraudulent and it gave them a platform to tell lies to the illiterate blacks about McCain.
There was no way McCain could win this campaign because Obama and his band of thieves didn't play fair and as the almost half of the American population who voted for him know, McCain is a man of honor who wouldn't stoop to the underhanded tactics the Obama campaign used. Obama and the Democratic Congress and Senate better watch their steps because there are huge numbers of us out here that will be sure you don't try and mess with our freedoms and liberties in this country. And if they don't think we'll take to the streets and take back our country, then they are dead wrong.
Obama did not buy his way into the White House. Millions of plain American people like myself gladly donated to support this great cause. Obama was elected President not because he is black but because he is a great man, who gives us hope, who just happens to be black. I am white and I believe that race had no importance in this race. It was about who was better fit to be our president. John McCain is also a great man, but unfortunately this was not his time and his choices clearly did not help him. One person you can blame and thank is the one you embraced so happily, supported blindly, who brought this country as close to a ruin as it is - George W. Bush. Barak Obama is our hope and the only one at this time who can help our America the Beautiful regain her respect not only here but around the world.
As an African American I take complete offense to the comment regarding "illiterate blacks". I think that the time for these types of divise commentaries has come and gone. The assumption that Obama received such large support from the African American community was due wholly to the fact that he is half African American is ridiculous. It completely assumes that 1) we are monolithic group that all think the same way, and 2) that we are not smart enough to choose our politics based on facts and campaign platform...because we're illiterate?!
As a Christian, a mother, a wife, an American I pray that this country will see the end of this kind of hate speech, and will instead welcome a more inclusive and diverse country.
who knows, maybe you will get jobs back in four years. they were certaintly starting to disappear while the republicans were running the show. Why would electing another republican make it better. What would really help if you moved overseas with your job, one less racist to deal with and if all of you moved the US might be done with racism. signed "whitepeoplearefunny"
I am a white, highly educated woman, who will fall in the category of those whose taxes will be raised...I am excited for our country. Overwhelmed by the awareness of all races and creeds in this election, and hopeful that our country will move beyond the hateful politics that have been so prevalent in recent elections. President elect Obama has support that reaches well beyond so many barriers. I, along with countless others are inspirised.
Hey texnewmex; You forgot to add that McCain had Bush in his background along with honor and courage.
Hey, Brooklyn Gurl, you forgot to mention that there is seething hatred among the Republican base for McCain; that he is known in Weshington, D.C., as one who finds common ground between the two parties -- something we desperately needed this time around; and that any deep, meaningful connection between the man and George W. Bush is entirely fabricated, an unfortunately successful yet articial construct of a lying Democrat machine.
I am sorry, butn I didn't vote for Obama because I didn't believe in his policies and I want to know where his money that he is going to spend is coming from. I'll tell you where... the same people that voted for him... working white class America. But everyone was to blinded by his "promises" of change, and he freely admittwed that he was not going to do everything he promised in his campaign at his acceptance speach last night. If you tell a mand who is dying of thirst that sand is water and he should therefore eat sand, he will because he is gullible and impressionable in his weakened state of mind. The exact same thing happened to our country last night... we were weak and gullible due to a financial crisis (one that Bush did not entirely cause I might add. He did not hold a gun to peoples heads and say "here, you should buy this house that you cannot afford", and he didn't cause the mortgage crisis, which lead to the crashing stock market and failing banks) and Obama told us that we needed change and we needed him to bring us change, so many American's believed him. I did not however. He failed to win my vote with his vagueness and evasiveness on how he was going to accomplish his many plans. This country is still very divided and he will not be able to unite us. His spending will go through the roof (just look at how much he spent on his campaign). Great job America! We have elected some one with absolutely no experience at running anything (or with any budget). Way to go and stand up for our country!
First of all, I did vote for Obama. But any president who comes on board behind Bush is in for a fight. The country's econmy is at a low point so any change is good. Obama is a strong man and is ready to take on the issues at hand. Of course it wont be overnight to make a change. But instead of bashing him like McCain you should pray and support to insure he has the strength to tackle all the mess that Bush has done. Its easier to critize but what are you doing......
I fail to see how spending $1 trillion dollars is going to be a good thing. I fail to see how his tax break helps me unless I make under $50,000. I fail to see a lot of things, but not that Obama is a smooth talker who has cast a spell over the American public
Get real - Bush has had a free ride his whole life - never worked, took responsibility for anything, let mommy and daddy and their lawyers and bankers fix whatever and whoever he breaks. It was not the ordinary Joe and Jane who were playing with derivatives, etc. The repubs think greed is good - well it doesn't take too much insight to know where that leads.
