We'll see if all the blacks who voted black like it when Obama outlaws the right to bare arms and you all have to live in your ghettos unprotected from your gangbanging "brothers"

About time to wash your sheets and hood as the meetings I'm sure will start picking up soon. Amazing that in todays world, there are still inbreds out there who feed of this stuff. Trailer door is open, Jerry is on, and the Bud can just got popped.

Thank you for putting this inbred in his place.

Obama's going to take away our right to bare arms? Does that mean that federal agents are going to come to my house and take away all my t-shirts?

      What a complete idiot.

What went wrong was that we were railroaded by a media who refused to scrutinize Obama, while ripping McCain/Palin a new one at every opportunity. If they had, things would be different this morning. I hope I am wrong, but I think that we are all in for a rough 4 years.

Palin , are you kiddind me . She is not reday to be President and that is the #1 qualification for the job

Sarah Palin has more experience in her little finger than Hussein Obama has period. She also doesn't have the ties to corrupt individuals that he has either.

      • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:32:52 PM

If that's the case, then Sarah Palin should have been relying more on her brain than her little finger, since the things her mouth were saying made us think her brain wasn't working!

    • Posted By: carobe0007 @ 11/05/2008 1:55:18 PM

Does anyone honestly believe that Obama will "unite" the country?? Nothing in his political past shows any indication of working well with Republicans and swaying them over to his side. What we have here is psychological projection on a massive scale: people see in Obama what they WANT him to be, which is apparently a combination of JFK, MLK, and Jesus all rolled into one.

Were the Democrats preaching "unity" when they used scare tactics to terrify old people into believing their social security would be taken away, or convinced women that a Republican administration meant government control over their wombs? Of course not, they are politicians out for political gain just like their rivals.

We have just elected a socialist president. Higher taxes will devastate this country's economy even further, and bad guys in other countries will be eager to test Obama since Democrats have traditionally been weak when it comes to defense. This may end up being a case of "buyer's remorse" when people figure out that Obama is not the messiah they want him to be.

I won't waste anyone's time whinning about the loss or even to litter the web with reasons why McCain and Palin didn't win. It won't change anything. But ...to the Press, Democrats and independents, I have something to say to you...You now have all elected to office someone who can, virtually unchecked ,do whatever he wants. He has the most power since Bill Clinton. So if I hear any of you say McCain might...forget about would-have-been...but MIGHT...have been the right choice, I'm going to grab one of Obama's wingtips and shove it right up your asses. Because whatever damage happens, there will be no 'do-over" as T. Fey likes to say about Palin.

  • Posted By: zona @ 11/05/2008 1:56:59 PM

We've just elected dumb and dumber

    • Posted By: MelissaO @ 11/05/2008 2:00:17 PM

      I agree Zona!!
God bless and help the USA!

      • Posted By: byebyebushie @ 11/05/2008 2:31:57 PM

that is laughable. dumb and dumber and their oh so successful party just got booted out of the white house. FINALLY. its been a long eight years. The republican party has pretty much presided over nothing but ridiculous disasters ever since 2001, and now they have destroyed our economy. And lets hope that Palin goes back to Alaska where she belongs. Then she can continue her education on international politics with her binoculars some more. What a joke. Thank God the american people didn't fall for it.

    • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:21:43 PM

      Wait....I thought Palin was defeated!!!!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: samson0473 @ 11/05/2008 2:11:47 PM

Just imagine how dumb and dumber Mcain and Palin had to be in order to loose to Obama. Obama managed to shed every assult on him like snake skin. And he didn't have people at his rallies yelling "Kill Him!!
As a matter of fact, he ran one of the cleanest campaines I've seen, And he was smart enough to concentrate on all 50 states rather than just swing states.

    • Posted By: Brooklyn Gurl @ 11/05/2008 2:11:41 PM

I would have to say Not! No one in America is any dumber than George Bush. He wins that vote hands down. Even an unborn fetus is smarter than he. If you think that this new administration is dumb and dumber, no wonder you voted George Bush in office because he is definitely stupider and stupidest.

  • Posted By: Kansas City Lawyer @ 11/05/2008 1:55:52 PM

Funny how the right has no problem with the Palin pick and doesn't blame her for the loss, while the left keep's pointing at her as the issue. The left wasn't going to vote for McCain anyway.

I think the Palin pick actually helped the "experience'" argument. McCain kept pushing it in ads throughout the campaign. Obama was put in the awkward position of not really being able to go on the attack on Palin's relative inexperience because in would simply highlight his own, and Americans would have viewed him as a hypocrite.

Obama won because (a) he is a great candidate; (b) America was ready for change; (c) the incumbent Republican is much disliked; (d) the economy; (e) an unpopular war; (f) excellent grassroots organization; and (g) virtually unlimited funds to spend (in part, because he reneged on his promise to use the public financing system). Blaming Palin is completely ridiculous -- and frankly is demeaning to Obama. Is someone saying that Obama would have lost if McCain would have picked Olympia Snowe? or Mitt Romney? or Mike Huckabee?

    • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:10:10 PM

The idea that Palin could have ever held her own in a debate with Romeny, Huckagee, Snowe, or McCain himself is a daydream. The idea that she could say (with a straight face), that she had the experience to be President (and Obama didn't), when she couldn't even accurately describe the duties of the Vice President (and despite she had two months to look it up between the first time she asked about it, and the next time she was asked), demonstrate that she WAS the problem. People couldn't believe that a guy with McCain's experience made such an impulsive, "maverick" pick. That was the anchor that sunk his ship.

      • Posted By: Kansas City Lawyer @ 11/05/2008 2:17:29 PM

Sorry I disagree. People voted for the top of the ticket.

Bottom line -- Obama won the election. McCain didn't lose it. Give credit where it is due. Palin helped marginally energize the Republican right base. But no one on election night voted based on the Biden vs. Palin choice. The political scientists have repeatedly acknowledged that.

        • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:30:33 PM

P.S. You need to re-evaluate your idea of "political scientists". There were lots of conservative columnists, George Will, Katherine ?? (I forget her last name), David Brooks, etc., etc., - there were lots of them, who wrote repeatedly that McCain's choice of Palin made them question his judgement, and therefore, his ability to be President.

        • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:26:16 PM

People voted against McCain because they thought his pick of Palin showed that he couldn't be trusted to use good judgement.

    • Posted By: ProudAmerican2 @ 11/05/2008 2:23:38 PM

As an Black American female who voted in the Republican primary and who votes Republican 90% of the time, I will say that McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate (along with his negative campaign tactics) was a significant factor in my eventual decision to vote for Obama. I can't say whether his choice of someone like Mike Huckabee as a running mate would have brought about a different outcome in this election, but it certainly would have won him my vote.

  • Posted By: PimpMan007 @ 11/05/2008 1:44:25 PM

As the conservative era comes to an end, so does the capitalist system. Bush, Obama, McCain, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and all of our elected officials have unilaterally supported the $700 billion bailout of private financial institutions. As Karl Marx theorized, capitalism will become socialism, and then only when the proletariat (the working class) is controlled through a dictating government, we will then descend into communism. As we now progress into a socialist economy, Barrack Hussein Obama will only continue the financial policies of George Bush, and we will see a New World Order that is unlike any Hitler could have wished for. Under BHO we will see the wealth spread around, and we will become a "classless society" under the control of even fewer ... a system much envisioned by Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Al Qaeda, Hitler, Mussolini, Marx, and Engels. Bush turned out to be much more Orwellian than any conservatives ever really thought.

I didn't know that for eight years democrats had no say in any decisions regarding implementing the various policies which have proven ineffectual. That makes me so sad that they were paid to be your beloved democrats for nothing.

I disagree with the premise that Sarah Palin was a "drag on the ticket". With her his campaign would have been over long before last night. McCain's reluctance to leverage Obama's anti-American leanings and acquaintances, along with his deplorable communication skills spelled defeat. When will the GOP learn that the gullible, uneducated masses buy the sizzle and not the steak?

  • Posted By: rockygold @ 11/05/2008 2:24:18 PM

Hold up - Secret service investigated 'kill him" claim that reporter made and found no evidence.

  • Posted By: happynow? @ 11/05/2008 2:22:51 PM

Well, I'm not going to cry or McCain's loss. I'm not going to congratulate Obummer either. Instead I will just say that America has spoken and they got the majority wish. But Democrats, the press and independant voters, I have something to say to you. ...SInce you now have so much UNchecked power to work your will and steer the country in any direction, if I hear any one of you say McCain "might", NOT would have been, but MIGHT, have been a better choice. I'm going to grab one of Obama's wingtips and stick it right up your asses.

  • Posted By: carmenmainstreet @ 11/05/2008 1:56:32 PM

God Bless him and our country. Assasination would not only kill him;but the whole country. We need to get over racism; we are a country of many diverse immigrants and citizens. Barach Obama is intelligent and full of energy. It's about 95% middle class tired of being left out of prosperity. Change is necessary. He has my support and prayers. As a woman, I was not impressed with Sara Palin for leading the country. She did okay as a super mom, but I was not sold on her leadership.

    • Posted By: zona @ 11/05/2008 2:00:41 PM

I'm sure you were'nt impressed by Palin, she has done it all without killiing her special needs child because he might be a burden. She is the epitomy of feminism!

I am not apologizing for deciding to vote for change; I too want a piece of the American pie. I have always worked hard since the age of fifteen, now I am sixty one; and want to retire to enjoy my golden years. When and if I become a millionaire, then I will consider voting for sharing the wealth at the top only. Now, I need healthcare, and the social security that I worked so hard for. My husband is a Vietnam War Veteran, and all he has is emotional scars to show for it. He does not even have VA rights and never was given assistance when we were down, him ill, and me supporting our four daughters on single salary. I know my friends as a citizen of these United States what it is to be poor and struggle. Yes, we own our own home, however, it's ready to be foreclosed. That route has happened before, when he the veteran was ill. No sympathy am I asking for; just airing why I need to vote for hope, for my grandchildren. Let's accept victory for change. Let's give President Obama a chance to make his promises good. If we gave Bush, the chances twice, he failed us, that is why McCain lost the window of opportunity.

  • Posted By: Smarter than you think @ 11/05/2008 1:53:23 PM

What this election proves is that the media can elect a president. When the media refused to give a fair and even coverage to Mr. McCain then it was obvious he didn't stand a chance, but even with the media being in the tank for Mr. Obama, Mr. McCain had a great showing. The election of Mr. Obama shows how far ignorance of the issues is not relevant to some people. This election also shows that allowing younger people to vote is wrong. They are not mature enough or informed enough to make reasonalbe decisions. To vote for someone simply because of his color or half color, or because he spouts a few platitudes that SOUND nice, just shows how much these children lack the responsibility to vote.

    • Posted By: Brooklyn Gurl @ 11/05/2008 1:56:10 PM

Funny how some people cry foul when the odds have been stacked against them. You guys have had a good run now it is time to move over and get ready for change.

      • Posted By: politicianslie @ 11/05/2008 2:22:18 PM

You are right about that. And if Obama hadn't won, people everywhere would be crying foul saying that he didn't get elected because he is black!

    • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:02:25 PM

Oh please. The media reported what came out of McCain's mouth, and unfortunately, his answer for everything was "I'm a maverick". When asked about Palin's lack of experience, his answer was "She's a maverick". The media didn't kill McCain, the nonsensical answers, and the ridiculous things that McCain and Palin said, killed their campaign. If you don't believe me, look at the polls, that continued to deteriorate after McCain "suspended his campaign", and Palin started doing more interviews. People couldn't believe the answers (or non-answers) coming out of Palin's mouth, and that made them question McCain's judgement. When they were both questioned about what they thought, and what the rest of us were seeing, their answer was....yes....you guessed it.... "We're mavericks". They shot themselves in the foot.

      • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/05/2008 2:04:44 PM

Oh wait....I almost forgot my best line.....I guess they weren't "as smart as you think".....ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: ann112062 @ 11/05/2008 2:12:07 PM

why can't they just except the fact and just go on with their lives and give him a chance we gave everyone else a chance , it's over lets see what he's got and if he can't do it then there is another election in four years. so everone should smile be happy. apparently change was meant to be because he was voted in not just by the black population he was put in by the white population as well.

    • Posted By: Transcending @ 11/05/2008 2:20:41 PM

That is right, I didn't vote for Obama but he is going to be my president and I am all for giving him a chance. Even if he can't deliver his promises it will be no different than past presidents (Reps & Dems) that couldn't deliver theirs. Lets all pray that he can make some positive changes for America.
If he turns out to be as bad as Bush then the Reps can nag back at the Dems. (joking)
Seriously it is time to move on and work together, quit all of the fighting, we need to come together.

Yes, and it had absolutely *nothing* to do with propangandistic news periodicals, such as yours, being entirely in the tank for Obama and selectively electing not to investigate or report on salient concerns regarding your oh-so-loved liberal tool.
