If you have such a problem with our new president (who is going to be the BEST president this country has ever seen) then get out of the country. I don't know where the hell you've been living for the past 8 years, but this country is a mess and McCain and Palin sure as hell didn't have the means to fix it. I agree with Maty, something is wrong with you and you need help.

If you solve one of them by the Grace of Allah its mean you have save more lives and you will get rewards and poor people will pray for you. You have achieved the post of President now you have to achieve to solve one or more of them. I will pray for you from the core of my heart. one more thing please study about True Islam I am assure you will not find even single word of Terror act in Islam. You can convey the message of True Islam to the anti Islam, and can reduce the distance between True Islam & anti Islam.     So obviously by some comments because of 9/11 Obama has no right to run our country well the Presidency is not about religion nothing in life should be based on that --so if you feel so strong about his different beliefs and religion remember Jesus was jewish so if you have strong problems with someones religion (should Jesus be running the universe) his beliefs when he died for us was that we would learn to love and end the madness but some of you forget i knew at some point 9/11 would be thrown in here so get it correct some of the families who lost loved ones voted for Obama yes that fateful day is still very raw for many Americans however, we must still go on with life

    I would Like to know why we make this a color thing, Hes our president, hes not a color, I understand its a historical event, but the fact that we are still talking about color is rather upsetting seeing I voted for a president , not a color. Lets move on from this color idea and get on with our nations problems.

    I'm relieved that we finally have someone at the helm who knows how to steer us in a more positive direction. What a gift Barack Obama is to this country and to the world. He will help heal our foreign relations and start to get the economy on track, that the Republicans made such a mess of these past eight years. I hear a collective sigh of relief and we our finally moving forward after these long, hard years and final months.

    There should be rejoicing about electing a black man. This is a momentous occasion in the history of America. But he was elected not because he's black but rather because he's a dynamic, eloquent speaker and has convinced most Americans that he can lead us in the right direction. He has demonstrated that he has a firm understanding of the issues that we care about and has a thoughtful and obtainable plan to deal with many of these issue. He's demonstrated good judgment in his advisors and listens to people who know more than him on a particular topic. That's how good decision making takes place. Don't condemn him before you even give him a chance to try.

        Christians do not believe in abortion or gay marriage as both of those are things God hates, yes hates. God's views on both are seen several times in the Bible.

          captiann: No. Where is abortion mentioned in the bible? Its NOT, ever. You'll probably argue that God says don't kill and respect life, but he does NOT express the view that life begins at conception. You may argue that abortion is modern, hence the lack of mentions, but you would be mistaken there as well. There was an herb used in biblical times to purposely induce miscarriages (=abortions). This herb was so popular and widely used for this intent that it is now extinct.
          God hates gay marriage? Why? The "sanctity"? Well, more than 1/2 of marriages end in divorce, so there goes your sanctity. And if followed the laws before and after the one about men not lying with men, you'd be institutionalized.

          What God "hates" is hatred. Where do you think you stand with there?

        last time i check abortion and gay marriage weren't the fundamentals of christianity. i know, i know it says in the bible that homosexuality is immoral. but so i premarital sex. so is murder. so is stealing. lying...the list could go on. so before you say something like that think about what you have done and what makes you think that you can condemn anyone. also, God said that all sins are the same in his eyes. check yo facts succckaaa!

          yes you are right Christianity was not built on that alone, however God calls upon us to obey his commands. That doesn't mean that Christians still don't love the sinners as we as humans are all sinners.

    Obviously Obama won by a landslide. Tomarrows results are not going to change so i suggest that you deal with the fact that the best man won. I am so sick of hearing racial slurs and rude comments about McCain and Obama, i hear it at school and on the streets but mostly at my high school. So if you over the age of 18 and talking like a 16 year old...none the less on the internet... then i suggest that you grow up and do us all a favor by keeping quiet. kaythx

    why hate on who will go into the white house after all we as American citizens voted our voices were heard so we must blame we as a people if there is anyone to blame. I think we need to all sit back and give him a chance as children we are all taught to learn from our mistakes so let him learn as well. We must all come together as a nation of one to learn live and grow. So many comments in here about his religion race or affiliations--when Lincoln was elected he freed the slaves (that was the right thing to do) when Bush was elected he brought us to the war zones thru lies (shame on him) Now give Barack a chance to turn it all around there are great minds out there he just may be the one to stimulate us as a nation to Do The Right Thing oh He believes and we should believe YES WE CAN...

Our country is in the worst economic crisis in years. We are at war and all you can come up with is he won't say the pledge.       Angryinarizona...And what will you do when your 401k, that you have contributed to for years, is forced to be put into the Social Security system, only to be given to one who has not contributed a dollar to it? What? You don't have a 401k? What will you do when the home that you bought years ago, struggled to keep it while working your butt off, is sold because you can't make the mortgage payment because some president has just raised your taxes and... you can't afford to live anymore! You own a home, don't you? What about when you apply for federal aid and you are not eligible because you make more money than the "intentionally underpriveledged"?

    I knew Barack Obama as a sophomore at Occidental College. He was a Marxist socialist then. I'll be interested to see how he handles things. I'm grateful, at least, that the word got out about his associates and his ideology.

    Even if Obama was a moslem i dont see a threat to our nation.. we beleive in freedom and equality.. as long as Obama does justice to our nation i thikn we are in safe hands.. not all moslems are bad a few have tainted the values and beliefs of the preachings of Islam..     Be grateful that we now will have a wonderful leader who knows what he's doing and is for the people, not out for himself. He is intelligent and capable and organized. These are the type of qualities we need in a Commander-in-Chief. We must all support and rally around our new president and work together to achieve equal opportunity, peace and a better life for every individual.

        I think ritz was trying to say that we should support a president who wants to end a war at least as much as one who wishes to start a war. And like ritz, I believe Obama has the right stuff to be a great leader. Time will tell, but we have faith. It's alright if you don't.
