even if hes not a christian so wat ?,,, even if hes a moslem, as long as he does justice to the United States its alright.. not all moslems are bad, a few have tainted the real beliefs and values of the preachings of the koran,,,

this article is great reading for a layperson to know the drama that unfolded in both DEM camps before the nomination. But finally it is good that a fresh, young person with a new vision,mindset has made it to the White House. It is refreshing to hear the mantra yeswe can echo in our ears each time we attempt something uphill. If the power of this clarion call is sustained by OBAMA the next four years each time he is wavering, confused and searching for the right decision to make, he will be truly a great president, who with his people worked to make the American dream come true. Even he does not succeed much , he would set the ball rolling sincerely to make it happen.

Hey "100%American", what do you define as Christian? Do you think you're perfect or something? Perhaps you're better than everyone and you know more than all of us put together. Were you personally hand chosen by Jesus? Or does he speak to you personally? Maybe you're a saint on earth! Have you even read the Bible and how do you interpret it? Which Testament to you ascribe to? Do you know how many times the Bible has been written and re-written and by whom, and for what reasons? Study up historically. Oh and, get off the righteous soap box. It's all a matter of interpretation and personal preference. Stop judging and presuming.

He probably wouldn't take your call anyway, 100%. And I do believe he is a Christian. I mean at least in the sense that he wants to help people and sees the need for the sick to be healed. I think Jesus would be down with that.

The Amrican have earned the well deserved admiration of people of the world. This is a country of immigrants and settlers and they have proved that anyone of them can sit in the White House and become the leader of the peace loving people of the world. What Americans have proved there is no example in any other country. The reaction to Obama victory all over reflects peoples desire for peace.

Be at peace within yourselves, as a new cycle is starting, in which people won't be just out for themselves, but will be willing to help one another and work together, side by side no matter what they're background or beliefs are. This dramatic shift will be reflected through our new president and positive role model.

Well guys enough of the slamming. It doesnt matter if you are democrat or republican, black or white, we are the United States of America. We need to all come together and help rebuild this great country. I think President Elect Obama will do all he can to get this country back to where it should be. Granted it isnt going to happen over night, but we all need to work together to make this happen. In Mr Obama's speech he said this victory wasnt for him, it was for us. Guys we need to give this man a chance. He is our new president for the next 4 years wether some of you like it or not. I think he will be a good one for the job.

Well guys all of this slamming is about enough. I think we all need to come together as a country, and give President Elect Obama a fair chance. In Mr Obama's speech, He clearly stated this victory was not for him, it was for us. Things are such a mess right now, and it isnt going to happen over night. Yes we need a change for our country,and we need to come together not as democrats or republicans, but as the United States of America and help to make this change possible. Give the man a chance.

President-elect Obama won the election because the American people judged him to be the better candidate with regards to knowledge base, leadership qualities, and his clear vision for change in America. Senator Obama planned his campaign well by surrounding himself with the very best advisors that a presidential candidate could ever desire. Obama learned from the mis-steps of his predecessors, and learned how to take control of his own campaign, rather than let it be controlled by his opponents. Obama let the nation's issues remain the focal point despite his opponents' desperate attempts to hide their own weaknesses by attacking Sen. Obama's character in the most negative of ways. Little did they realize that the American people had learned from the previous 2 presidential elections that by NOT focusing on the issues was one of the very reasons why our country's economy is failing amidst other serious issues here at home. The American people have spoken, and soon it will be time for our next President to set America back on track.. God Bless America
