This day is for EVERYONE! No matter what your views this is AMERICAN history. I praise November 4, 2008 as the day of change. This day is for Sojourner Truth; this day is for Medgar Evers; this day is for the great Kennedy brothers; this day is for Rosa Parks, this day is for the thousands of nameless people, black AND white who forty years ago fought for equality. For those of you who continue to carry bigotry and hatred in your heart, I ask that you question who you really are. Because to hate someone else is in reality an image of self-hatred. I speak to my community of brothers and sisters: although this is symbolic in nature, we still have to do the WORK. Mr. Obama's win symbolizes the nature of change and what love and unity can do. Whatever your dreams, you should be inspired, to do your best. We have a looong journey, but I know that we can conquer it all together. WE THE PEOPLE! GOD BLESS!!
