    CAN MUSLIMS BE GOOD AMERICANS?


    This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to Finish and send it on to anyone who will read it. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.. The following is his reply:


    Theologically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia

    Religiously - no. . . Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)

    Scripturally - no. . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

    Geographically - no . Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

    Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews ...

    Politically - no. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great Satan.

    Domestically - no. . Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34)

    Intellectually - no. . Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

    Philosophically - no. . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

    Spiritually - no. . . Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.

    Therefore, after much study and deliberation.... Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously cannot be both 'good' Muslims and good Americans.


    Call it what you wish it's still the truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand. .. ....

    And Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim, wants to be our President? You h ave GOT to be kidding! Wake up America !

    Obama even says if he wins the election, he will be sworn in on the Quran---not a Bible!

    Footnote: He was sworn in on the Quran for his current office and he refuses to pledge allegiance to the United States or put his hand over his heart when the National Anthem is played! The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within. Hello! Having a Muslim president would seem to fit the bill! Will you trust this man with our national secrets?

    SO FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

      You are such a lamebrain. He did NOT swear on the Quran. As for being a good American, it ranks 4th on my ladder of allegiances, behind God, family, and the world community in that order. And Christians are the world's worst as not accepting the validity of any other religion. How can they in all clear conscience cast stones?

        First, Obama is a CHRISTIAN!! How can he and Michelle have been married by Christian pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and be a Muslim? Do you watch the news?

        Second, none of your post is based on factual information and is, for all intents and purposes, racist propaganda. By the way, how do you define "good American"? You, by posting this, are not promoting freedom of religion. Have you read the Quran? What do you know about it? Have you read the Bible? The Old Testament does not show us a "loving and kind" God. He was quite a vengeful God, actually.

        Third, America is a very different country ethnically than it was 50 years ago. Cultures change. Accept it or go somewhere else.

    I am an obama voter and do feel the US desperately needed a change from what the Bush administration reaped. I'm 81 and always have been a Democrat but have never felt so completely sad as to what happened to the US in the last 8 years. And why were the Democrats so passive? Betty from Overton NV

    I am just so proud and so filled with happiness, Obama was elected the 44th President of United States.
    I saw the picture of Rev Jessie Jackson crying, I cried too because it is a day where all Americans come together and look to a brighter future.What a nation what a powerful nation not in guns war or muscle cars but in spirit...period

        I happened to see Jackson crying also... but wasn't it him that wanted to, to put it nicely, remove Obama's genitals awhile back? Just a tad ludicrous, but then, that's The Reverend Jackson, so no surprise!

              I think you've got it right Hannah. Listen Jesse let a lot of people down. I'm cutting Jesse a little slack here. He was crying, i think, for two reasons. The first was the rememberances of the day he marched next the MLK Jr.and put his life on the line for people that desparately need his help. Secondly, he's remembering the young Jesse Jackson that wanted to change the world and the world wasn't ready. When a person has fallen from grace, he can still get credit for what he did prior to the disgrace. Who could argue that jesse hasn't done more good than harm to his country/

                Exactly, that is why I believe he was crying. I was really surprised to find myself overly emotional also. I expected to be extremely happy but I cried like a baby. This morning my eyes were red and swollen, I just did not expect that intense wave of emotion.

              Why else would Jesse be a concern, unless his politics was affecting you?

              He had no bearing on this election.

              The only other reason to focus on his emotions, (as minute as they were), would be to have a reason to spew some type of negativity.

                We can always count on you to go off on your usual tangents. If you re read my post, I was pointing out Jackson's blatant hypocrisy.

                It's easy to see that you wish to be a moderator here at Newsweek and decide what has a bearing or not in the election, but I assure you that you're not. And since it's a forgone conclusion that you absolutely must have the last word on every thread, go ahead... it's yours.

    How can anyone of normal intelligence listen to the plans of Barack Obama and the promises he makes and conclude that he will govern from middle? Are you deaf or are you so giddy with your liberal kool aid that you can not think reasonably? Everything he proposes is straight out of the far left, George Soros, Moveon.org playbook. Please make an attempt at intellectual honesty and be accurate in who you are and what you stand for. We ignorant conservatives may be a little smarter than you think.     AFter reading all the comments that are negative, I must say that it comes down to one thing. Most american people are still prejudice!. And it's a shame that WE say that we are Americans and "God bless America" and all these things but yet we can't stop looking at the color of skin! And yet we expect God to bless this mess! How can this be that we can say we are free and not live in freedom! how can we stand by each other when we are so apart. It amazes me to see the kind of country that we hope that our children can live in with peace, dignity, pride is corrupted by what we put in them. How can't we expect change in America and we ourselves can't change our way of thinking or change from inside. President Elect Obama needs our support, America's support! We may not agree with everything he says but we have to learn to agree to disagree. No man is perfect! You can't expect him to be! We are examples to our children and it's up to us rather or not we are good or bad examples. Stop expecting failure! Expect positive change for America. Pray for him those who believe in prayer. Pray for yourselves to accept change! Are we going to ever look beyond COLOR?? You would think after all these years we should be ABOVE all this!

    I???m so fed up with our corrupt political system after breaking my back for years building my business and fighting from going bankrupt, a bunch of naïve Americans elect an even more naïve career politician, president. I and many of my business partners have decided to pack it in, I???m laying off 50 plus workers starting next month and retiring. No way in hell am I going to pay this numskull???s capital gains tax and run my business into the ground before I can cash out!

    Only time will tell how Obama will rule, but the depth of the man says a lot. What has been termed "elite" in derogation of his character is, instead, an excellence that shines through his countenance and his ordinary demeanor. The chances are high that he will fill the office with a competent guiding hand that could lead him into the small circle of great presidents. The future beckons.

    I am not american but I can see what a truly great man the americans have elected to lead them in this past election. but what I dont understand is how some americans refuse accept that they needed a change in government and that they got it rite this time. they elected the rite man regardless of his skin colour he is infact first an american an intelligent one at that with new ideas that can put america back on track and back on the map. when we strive to be one there is always persons who wont except change. and i am sure lucky25 will soon see that he is more than just colored and will probably be the best President America has ever had.

The Bush administration knew this and worsened it before passing the torch on to an unwinable opponent. They never supported McCain because of his potical duality and now WE ALL are going to pay ! Bush has put Obama's presidency to the test. We welcome it. WE shall Overcome! Remenber ! Bush Sr. was in the CIa and they are notorious for this kind of tactics.     The last administration has run this country into the ground. Gas prices reached almost five dollars a gallion. President-Elect Obama deserves an opportunity as our elected president to straighten out this mess, that was made by the president leaving office on Jan. 20, God speed to him. President-Elect Obama has a plan for all of the people, not just black people, we need to get on board with his new ideas and policies for this nation, I believe there is a God and God's hand is on this man's life, guiding him.

    Obama reminds me of no one more than Ronald Reagan - not because of his agenda, but because of his ability to inspire Americans to work harder and to get involved in their own futures. They are also the only two candidates I have ever volunteered to campaign for. In the 28 years between, I'd barely ever voted, much less picked up a phone, knocked on a door or asked strangers if they had registered.

    As an accounting manager of a small business, I'm a bit worried about small business owners who are worried about tax changes. My guess is that they don't do their own taxes, or understand that tax is levied on profit, not gross. As a matter of fact, I'm also concerned about the private citizens who don't understand the difference between taxable and gross income. I have this horrible feeling I'm going to be doing a LOT of tax consultation work.

    I also am a college-educated, white woman (middle-class, middle-aged, middle-management). I think Obama will make a fantastic and centrist president, and even more, will govern from sense and balance and intelligence, rather than being a knee-jerk reactionist. The problem with the Republicans (and I used to BE one) is that their responses are no longer moderated from wisdom. They've become reactionary and blind with fury and honestly, quite frightening. They are NO LONGER conservatives.

    This is directed to lucky25...how dare you continue to use that word "colored". When he was born his parents did not take a magic marker and fill in the lines! Have SOME type of respect at least for those who have to read your comments. Let's remember that all politicians make promises. However, the majority of America agreed with the promises Obama made and felt as though he could fulfill them. White, black, whatever... I voted democrat!
