ACORN, I was so happy that McCain had the guts to bring that up, and I was so happy when McCain said to Obama " My friend I'm NOT George Bush, if you wanted to run againts him you should have 8 years ago. I'm concerned for our future, because Obama better have good Secretary of Defense because Obama has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to forgien relations and our countries Military.
THANK YOU!!! that is exactly what im trying to say!!! i said it once, and i will say it again, only god can save us now!!!!

george bush a democrat?- please please continue shoving that foot in your mouth. maybe they were trying to stop you from doing what you just did. in the past 8 yrs we have lost more freedoms under disguises than you will ever realize.

Yet another glaring example of the REAL reason Obama won the election: the media's blind love affair with Obama because of his charisma and their shameless smear campaign against McCain to ensure the election would go the way Hollywood and the media wanted. This election had nothing to do with race. It had everything to do with the scary influence of the media. Just another insidious form of censorship.

    • Posted By: ericvdm @ 11/05/2008 9:34:09 PM

Its true. Really, the only reason Obama won was because he was ridiculously advertised. He's like Pepsi, a horrible soda that is only the number one soda because of its advertising campaign. People don't care about substance anymore, just a nice glazed over speech that makes them feel good.

      • Posted By: selainepar @ 11/06/2008 2:36:52 AM

um...Pepsi isn't #1...Coke is. Worldwide, in fact. Did you get that off the internet too?

    • Posted By: ericvdm @ 11/05/2008 9:22:55 PM

Agreed. Obama was ridiculously advertised. Just like Pepsi. A horrible soda that is only the number one soda because of its advertising campaign. People don't care about content these days, just glamorous speeches that make them feel good.

I find it unbelievable that conservatives are being accused of insulting our new president and that we should respect him. Have we seen any respect for the president for the past 8 years? What is different about Obama - he was elected (with scandals all around the country - and no we are not claiming that he stole the election like the democrats did in 2000 and 2004) just like President Bush was. You made your bed over the last 8 years, now you must sleep in it!

    • Posted By: jannatnht @ 11/05/2008 10:33:44 PM

No one ever endured more hatred and terrible insults like President Bush. But if there is any criticism toward Obama, then it is labeled racist. That is the liberal way.Enter Your Comment

Enter Your Comment I don,t care for president bush, but I have to agree with you abut the selective playing of the race card

    • Posted By: Ryanawk @ 11/05/2008 10:25:40 PM

Here's the difference hockeymomof (Palin, is that you?), Obama won by a landslide, 2-1 margin (at least) of electoral votes. Bush barely won against Gore, and he DID steal the election. Gore supporters were not happy when bush was elected, and I don't expect you to be happy now... It is not the fact that bush is a republican that makes us not respect him, it is the fact that he is a MORON!, look at his approval ratings. I AM a republican, because I stand for REPUBLICAN ideals... not that you have any idea what that actual means. I am also a Liberal, and YES YOU CAN BE BOTH. I voted for Obama, because I believe in him, and because Palin is terrifying, she would be worse then a Bush/Cheney dictatorship. The "republicans" in the white house over the last 8 years have been anything but republican, Bill Clinton was the closest we've had to a republican in the last 4 presidential elections.

  • Posted By: oldmilkman @ 11/05/2008 10:41:16 PM

and don't say we are racist because that is just plain sick you don't know me at all to compare me with you.
my skin is white and my sister inlaw has a black kid and he is great so don't bring race into my comments unless you know me! heck most people that bring race in are just covering their own thoughts about race up.

    • Posted By: koko42 @ 11/06/2008 2:26:16 AM

So you like the Robin Hood method?? Figures?? So let's just steal the money from the people who work for it and give handouts to those who don't learn to be self-reliant. Let's all work so everyone who lives off of welfare can get by just living off of the damn government. Yeah and while we're at it let's pass out GREEN cards too! It's the rich who bailed out the failing economy several times I believe!! Buddy your mind is warped! But then again we're ready for a change RIGHT let's spread the wealth RIGHT!!!

You need to stop being so negative, just look at the bright side. Do you realize that more than 60% of the white people vited for Obama. Is not only the blacks and because he is black. Most of us saw hope, better life and a stronger and greater America.

    • Posted By: pam12007 @ 11/06/2008 12:55:58 AM

wow, 60% vited or did you mean voted. Oh perse, a majority of the Blacks voted for Obama and by the way just for reference, he is half white and half black. OK NOT AFRICAN AMERICAN

      • Posted By: cajunhb @ 11/06/2008 2:14:04 AM

I am glad to see that I am not the only person to realize that President-elect Obama is not African American as he claims, but a man of mixed race. Hell he,s not even dark brown much less black.!!!

Tawanda53 is right on the money and so is mccainforever for that matter. This man is DANGEROUS and I predict the only thing he will do for this country is open the door for another attack on Americans. This is not about black or white it is about loving our country and defending it at all cost. How do you claim to love our country so much that you want to be commander in Chief but you won't salute or flag?? GIVE ME A BREAK people..The same idiots that voted his radical nutt into office should loose their right to vote. Just wait and see....Hold on AMERICA IT'S going to be a LONG RIDE!!

I think there was something wrong with the new poll machines, defects, if you were voting Republican you were actually voting Democrat, and if you were voting Democrat you were actually voting Republican. The card that they gave you to use the poll machine the barcodes were backwards. Needs to be checked into and revoted. Something is not right about these numbers. Contact your voter administration and check to see what comes up as to who you voted for. I am sure they have a record of it.

    • Posted By: Candy1976 @ 11/05/2008 6:12:52 PM

No, My vote went exactly how I wanted it to - for OBAMA. McCain lost fair and square, get over it.

      • Posted By: pam12007 @ 11/06/2008 1:15:04 AM

Well to each and every person in the USA, I worked only 3 hours at the polls and I was disgusted at how each and every African American spoke to each other, no respect what so ever. A black man stood up after voting and said I have not voted in 37 years but I am today, they all clapped/cheered. Oh and I am white and the African American women who I worked with was so embarresed by her race. Thank God at least there was one. Sorry but I observed and it was ugly. OBAMA, WE ARE DOOMED

    • Posted By: cabman45 @ 11/05/2008 6:25:16 PM

they need to count each and every one's vote like they do all the other stuff!!! but they do not so you will never really know who won there rigged just like bush was i did not vote for bush but did mccain i wanted hillary but mccain was a better choice than obama but im ok i hope he does a good job

Not only do I remember the movie "Viva, Zapata," but I remember back in 1972 being surprised when George McGovern listed it as his favorite movie.

    • Posted By: jw-4usa @ 11/05/2008 6:41:27 PM

Yes, Mccain lost but unlike the democrats he acknowledged his loss and encouraged his people to support Obama. We all know if the roles were reversed we would still be waiting for votes to be recounted again and again. Whatever.. Obama is a JOKE and we will see how far he gets in four years?? My guess is not far. GET READY AMERICA it's going to be a LONG HARD RIDE!

      • Posted By: tiredoftheignorance @ 11/05/2008 7:04:10 PM

We have already been on a LONG HARD RIDE with Bush. The election in 2000 and 2004 was close which warranted the recount. This election was not close at all. The country has spoken. Barrack Obama is our president. Why don't you just get over it and try to make this country a better place like the majority of the country is doing....................

I think MCCAIN is a true hero and he has showed this many times. Does anyone remember 9/11? Bush had to deal with that. As a retired soldier and one who went to Iraq, I can tell you that what you see on the news is trash. Obama would not even visit wounded troops....having been to where the war really is and seen what is happening to those people there, how can anyone think of pulling out of there in a matter of months? Obama hasn't a clue on how to be Commander in Chief! he plans to tax and tax and give to those who don't work? How about those who refuse to work? The slam on Sarah Palin in the news media was very cruel. I live in ALaska and I can tell you that lie after lie was told about her and she took it with grace. MCCAIN is a true gentelman......I pray for our country and that Obama remembers this country deserves a man who can lead it with no hidden agenda and remembers those who have died to keep us free!

Enter Your Comment The people of this country must understand the importance of history. Every great nations fall has been directly connected to the moral decay of it's society. Yes believe it or not if a nation wants the blessing of God they can't go on living like hell forever. It's amazing to me the people that voted for Obama because he capitalized on the bad economy. Let me explain. The economy didn't get this way overnight and I can't even blame it on a particular president. It is a collective result of people making unwise decisions with their finances straying from or ignorant of God's principles to a blessed life. The bottom line, to ignore the root problem which are the (moral issues) and focus on the end results (economy) is totally backwards. If the leaders will stand for what is right in the eyes of God and not what they think is right, the change for good in this country would be so great people, we couldn't even fathom. History speaks for itself please pray that the people of our nation will peel of the blinders on their eyes and truly see where we are headed if we don't turn back to God! Pray for our new leader it's important regardless if you voted for him or not it's called obedience to God's word, something we need to go back to to keep His blessing on this country. Or else? That is a question that history has already answered. God bless you all!

What about history don't people understand? The fall of every great country that has ever been has started with the moral decay of the society. Unfortunately people are blinded by thier circumstances and don't see the root of the problem, so instead of voting for someone who stands more for the moral issues (Root Problem) they vote for someone who promises good change and economic improvement but the moral issues are still there and getting worse if he gets his way. To me it's like pooring water on a grease fire, you must address the root issues here and it's not the economy! People I urge you to pray for our new leader that he will make righteous decisions that will truly insure God's blessing on this country otherwise this country will continue to fall like the other greats of history. God bless you all!

Yeah, I agree with you, but the die hard republicans just don't want to admit the fault of our present leaders.. I believe even now that Bush stared this war for politcal reeasons, and he ne w then that he could NOT have won a re-election, without it. But that is all in the past, and we have the future to look foward to,and hopefully a new era for politics.I have always felt that the 2 party system is trash, and never understood how or whyt he two parties could never agree on what was good for all the people ,all the time and vote accordingly!!

I truly feel the Republican Party used John McCain, they knew he could not win. They are saving others for the future. I am a conservative first, and a Republican second. George Bush spent like a liberal and doomed the entire party. I do congratulate Barrack Obama on his victory. I do hope that the Republican people support our President, although they are under no obligation to do so. The reason may seem petty, but is valid. The Democrats undermined George Bush at every opportunity, specifically, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It would not be right for them to ask something they had refused to give themselves for the good of the country. I would supose we will see if the Republican people have more backbone than the Democrats have exhibited the last two years under their control.

    • Posted By: Jennifer C J @ 11/05/2008 9:24:05 PM

I agree with you, give Obama a chance, let him pove what he promised

      • Posted By: selainepar @ 11/06/2008 12:47:52 AM

I'm glad to read comments like yours, a Republican, and find others who agree that one's *own* principles carry greater value than the ideals of an entire group. Group-think has never done any country any measure of good, but it's done many a lot of harm, and it's completely destroyed some too. I find nothing more disturbing than hearing others who seem to fervently believe that 100% of what their party leaders stand for reflect "Emperical Knowledge". That isn't even possible, and sometimes, BOTH sides can be right, because the "right" solution is nearly always dependant on a multitude of other factors. When factors change, solutions change naturally, sometimes automatically. That's what the hard-line, arrogant, and belligerent members of all parties simply refuse to recognize, let alone entertain any notions of compromise, or "give and take". I agree with you 100 % in regards to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, but perhaps you'll agree when I say that they weren't the first to behave this way. I remember Tip O'Neill issuing a challenge to Republicans to block Bill Clinton at every turn, encouraging them to do anything in their power to undermine Clinton's efforts. In fact, to my memory, the last president who found ways to work well with both parties was Ronald Reagan. From Clinton's first term onward, both sides have had their members who perpetuated this destructive abuse of their power, making their main objective to bicker with, block, and undermine the other side. They are poison to our entire system, and it is they who are to blame for the majority of the failures or debacles that are blamed on the President whom they oppose. More often than not, these are also the same party members who will turn their backs on their own kind when things look bleak. They are this country's thorn, and THEY are to blame for most of the woes of the constituents they left behind. I only hope we'll all do better to choose our candidates in the future who operate above the pettiness and negativity and beyond the "quid pro quo".

I watched the coverage on FOX and some guy, I can't remember his name, said in effect, that Obama said whatever folks wanted to hear in whatever place his was in during his campaign. Keeping in mind that this was an African American making this statement on national TV. Also, they interviewed an African American woman coming out right after voting and she said " I gonna help him (Obama) and he gonna help me make my house payment and my car payment." That is what we've elected.

    • Posted By: leepdx @ 11/06/2008 12:23:27 AM

Obama never said either of those things and all he said was a temporary moratorium on foreclosures to try and refinance people out of the predatory loans. He has spoken of responsibility more than he gets credit for, he's not going to pay anyone's way.

First of all there are alot of programs that are wasteful ,but before they can be cut you have to watch the domino affect it has it falls down it might take some good stuff with it .
But it must go these programs, one is the free ones is abortion screw who you want then oh my iam going to have a baby no problem abort.
But next time get protection ok ,oh my sorry i going to have a baby again, no problem abort if you have one abortion at the sametime cut out everything are tie it up.
But we wont make money anymore tough.
we can save alot of money now just by stopping that.
well i can go on and on

    • Posted By: fifi8989 @ 11/05/2008 11:45:59 PM

Ok, I agree that Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. That was not the intent of Abortion in the first place. But, a woman shoild have the RIGHT to CHOOSE.
And banning it isn't going to stop it. There are still going to be Abortions. I would rather have a Doctor perform the Abortions, than the woman trying to do it herself and risking her own life.

This is a great article. Poor McCain. The Maverick has fallen so far. This hilarious youtube video called the Blame Game : Et tu, Palin? says it all:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrUN8oldj9o

LMAO!!! He got a stiletto heel in the back by playing with the she-devil. Republicannibalism at its best. She went out to field dress a donkey and fleeced an elephant. The humbled McCain tried to salvage the remaining dignity he had left and the crowd couldn't stop booing. It's hard to turn off the hate machine once it reaches full-throttle. When they started in with their canned Republican rally cheers, guess who smirking and winking? Et tu, Palin? Ha ha.
