To the "teacherforamerica"s of the net, first off...I think you are missing a few grammatical entries and at least one capital letter in your name. No pride in America??? And since when have "educators" started reusing the word "retards" in relation to a person's mental capacities. I can only assume what kind of teacher you are. Watch out! President Obama will be kicking your butt out of the classroom and replacing you with a fully educated individual. Yes, Senator McCain made an eloquent speech last night. I am afraid, however, that you're entry did not meet that mark. Maybe it's time for Everyone to stop throwing out words like "racists", "retards", and stop looking down their proverbial noses at working folk like plumbers and pay attention to what is going on in Washington. It was not the Republicans who squashed attempts to reign in the "Maes" and "Macs". It was the Democrats who put the country at risk to gain an election edge. Ask Barney Frank. Anyone who has any doubt can view all the bills and the representatives individual votes online at government websites.

Perhaps you should not throw stones either. The Republicans are not with out fault, so instead of all of this hateful rhetoric, why not try to heal some of the wounds in our country by getting along. America is not going to fall aparts because a centrist, black politician is the president .

Why can't we actuallu move forward? Why is this all about blame and anger> Doesn't anyone want to make this country great again or are we so into to crying and whining?

I am shocked and appalled by the ignorance of some people in the United States. Our country has been through ups and downs throughout our history. Anyone that studies history can see that. What I find more offensive is people saying our country has gone to hell. Look at other places around the world! You should count your blessings to live here, regardless of who is President. Quit complaining and accept the fact that Obama will be our next President. I am sick and tired of the negative comments about him and his family. The truth is no matter who had won this election there would still be people posting all this negative crap, you can make everyone happy. May God bless this country and the decisions made by our next president.

ACORN, I was so happy that McCain had the guts to bring that up, and I was so happy when McCain said to Obama " My friend I'm NOT George Bush, if you wanted to run againts him you should have 8 years ago. I'm concerned for our future, because Obama better have good Secretary of Defense because Obama has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to forgien relations and our countries Military.

Today at Colleyville Heritage High School in Colleyville, TX, kids wore black because they hate Senator Obama and he won. My daughter's could not believe the inflammatory racist comments that were made. It is too bad that the rest of the country can't be as gracious as Senator McCain was last evening. He is neither unreasonable and he is not a bigot, y'all should follow his example and respect our new President elect.

Do we really have to go through all of this? The election is over, Obama won. Let's just let the old sailor go back to the Senate and leave him alone. I'm glad I don't get NEWSWEEK in the mail anymore.

As i see it it does no one any good arguing this election, I have read posts of negative and insulting to the losers and mostly Sarah Palin, please people you have failed to be optimistic in this election, the media sold us Barak Hussein Obama and we ate it like it was a magical name and those that got hung up on Obama will soon find out that his promisses are all about to me a thing of the past, his goal was to make it to the White House and be the first and only terrorist elected president in this country and he will finish the job for those that hate us, then you will be crying we made a mistake, shame on you that had the media brain wash you to believe that this one man could make a difference for all of us, you got to be kidding me. Did any body ask this fool how long was it going to take him to fix the economic mishap or is he going to give excuses on why it cannot be fixed as he promissed, will there be any change in how we as a country think feel or act, i believe that is is just a taste of what is coming in the next few months, the first 180 day after inaguration we will see what he is capable of and its going to be not much but an excuse of how it should have been done and the finger pointing will begin as in past presidents...My point is the Barak Hussein Obama is a sleeping cell and with power we are doomed, be ready to regret that historic day of Nov 4th 2008 the day we gave the power to a sleepin cell...We all are Losers....

i will never get over it. you dont know exactly how bad this is going to be for the US. just sit back and watch, you will see. so, dont tell anyone to "get over it" when, in all actuality, later on, i will come back, and write you a message on here stating, "see, told you so". you dont have the right to tell someone to get over it, so what if that person said what was on their mind, who gives a crap. im doing the same thing now. to each to their own, remember that. you voted for obama, well, i voted for mccain, and yes, i am extremely worried about our nation now. all i can do is hope a pray for a miracle, because that is what we are going to need, A MIRACLE!!!

I was not a McCain supporter, however, I believe his showing was a direct result of the RNC and poor planning by those those who ran his campaign such as Rick Davis. Their decision to put up Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate was one of their major blunders. She might have appealed to "Joe the Plumber" and men and women of his "ethic", but certainly not to the majority of the folks on the "right side" of the aisle.

For the first time in US history, neither candidate won the election...the media did. Under the guise of "professional journalism", they picked their candidate, built him an aura, and defended him to the bitter end. If it had been a horse race, someone would be getting arrested right now for fixing the race. As it stands, we have a president elect with questionable origin, questionable background, and questionable ethics, Not one reporter dug into any of the questions that Senator Obama refused to answer. Objective journalism has met it's demise and in the words of Marshall McLuhan, "The Medium Is The Message."

  • Posted By: nembar @ 11/05/2008 6:53:17 PM

I was not a McCain supporter, but I truly believe that the RNC was the major reason for McCain's not making a better showing. Rick Davis might well lead the list of those who made big mistakes in judgment in terms of running/managing McCain's campaign, including the fact that those folks foisted Sarah Palin on him as a running mate who may have appealed to "Joe the Plumber" and women in THAT camp, but not to the broad band of conservatives.

To all the people that think he is Muslim you are just as retarded as the fat lady that said, "he-- hhhe's an Arab." McCain lost graciously and I think that if he ran his election the way he eloquently stated his speech last night, he would have won. Calmly and passionately. In the end no matter who won, God calls what is going to happen. No man on Earth has God's power. I know many people that post on here are mentally ill, so I was reluctant to posting, because people are only going to see one viewpoint. Obama needs to be given the chance he deserves just like any one else. Stop being so angry and move on, please...

    • Posted By: Truth and beauty @ 11/05/2008 6:51:14 PM

I had so much respect for McCain when he did that. It was one of the best moments in the campaign on either side. Someone actually speaking the truth? That's why his campaign ads upset me so much, so negative and lies.

  • Posted By: Truth and beauty @ 11/05/2008 6:48:12 PM

You people are an entire waste of time. I agree with a coworker of mine - you should have to pass a test to vote. Joe the plumber and his idiotic friends, who knew they could use a keyboard? Just goes to show never underestimate evolution! Our is that intelligent design?
Peace and love get over it and build a better country!

Tawanda53 is speaking the TRUTH... your brain washed. Read his (Obama) books to see his extremist white views. This is a dangous man in power. We all had better pray for America

  • Posted By: Dark and Beautiful @ 11/05/2008 6:38:53 PM

Tawanda53 what and awful comment to make. You should be ashamed of yourself. It sounds to me that you are a "little" bitter and a tadbit racist. Stop the hate please. It is unhealthy. We as a people have accepted you why can't you accept us. Have a heart................To God be the Glory great things he has done and without him this historic event could not have happened. Remember what your apparent choice of candidate said so graciously in his concession speech, "He will be my president to". So that goes for you too ok...

    • Posted By: Truth and beauty @ 11/05/2008 6:39:52 PM

      Awesome comment!

  • Posted By: mccainforever @ 11/05/2008 6:38:09 PM

Tawanda53 speaks the TRUTH... I would never consider voting for someone with such extremist white views...wake up, read his books for a start.

We may as well move to Cuba or Venezuela. You'll be seeing Obama kissing up to those two soon
