What the hell does McCain knwo about war? He spent his time in the military crashing our planes or locked up in a prison cell. No one else would dare say it but calling him a hero for being captured and encarcerated for a long period of time is just retarded. And any of you military people who want us to stay in Iraq need to be deprogrammed. Iraq wasn't a threat to us until Fuctard Bush sent our troops there. Our economy is in the toilet yet you people want to continue to spend $10b we don't have on a country that has a surplus. Thats as dumb as having record unemployment and continuing to allow Mexican thiefs invade our country. Send Bush to Mexico so he can live with the only people who look up to him.

Mccain is not considered a hero because he was a prisoner, he's considered a hero for his lack of selfishness in prison. They offered to set him free but because he felt it wouldnt be fair to the other POWs who were there longer than he was he didnt take it. He chose to allow someone else to take it. He showed self sacrifice which is a heroic characteristic, which is why no one has dared to challenge his heroism. Besides the fact he gave up a bunch of years of his life to serve this country which most people now and days wont do.

nomoreGOPyes> Deprogrammed? You, sir, are an arrogant, egotistical *** that is the true waste of the economy's money in keeping you alive. Iraq was assisted because it was under jurisdiction that held tight to close relations with Al-Qaeda... you know... the ones responsible for the attacks on our home soil that killed so many of our people? We "military people" sign our LIVES away to protect this blessed country we are so PRIVILEGED to live in. Military members make an oath; a promise to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. For the real men and women that protect your ass every *** day, maybe you should sit down and shut the *** up. There is no "programming". There is a realization that is made by each and every service member. There are threats outside your comfy little living room with air conditioning. There are threats and those threats are real. I would think that after hearing about all the deaths of our loved ones, that might have become apparent to you.

Seems to me that you're one of the bandwagoners that takes the "everything is fine, why not be in peace" stance to every semi-agressive action this nation takes. While as highly illogical and apathetic that sounds, that might actually be feasible if every country were as priviledged and culturally developed as we are. News flash: They aren't. War is not some out of date method. It still exists because the need is there.

Your Mexican "thieves", as you so racistly express, are people wanting to come here because what we provide is opportunity.

Our economy revolves around warfare, if you were not aware. "War" time is when businesses jump on the chance to blast their products into the market for the military. Computers, vehicles, fuel, planes, ammunition, and more; a large portion of these our own economical system provides. They are paid for by the nation and that money circulates itself back into these businesses. The money is invested in these mostly war-geared corporations that have been around for years.

Stop talking out of your ass and quit obsessing. Welcome to America, if you don't like it then PLEASE feel free to move somewhere else.

all the men and women who dies on 9/11 do not add up to the number who have died in the WRONG war. We should never have been in Iraq - we should have been in Afghanistan and this thing would have been over yrs ago had we kept our eye on the ball. Any american who feels they have athe right to tell another american who happens to disagree with them, to "leave" is, in my opinion Un-American! America is made up of differing ideas that is what makes us a democracy - the ability for differing viewpoints to be heard. This opportunity you speak of that the mexicans, and all the others who come to our country - you do know that immigration is not just mexicans coming to america- right? but any ways, this opportuity you speak of has been realized in the form of our new president(elect) - Barack Obama.

Enough of this our side your side - you're and idiot, he's an idiot non-sense - we are one country, all of us Americans and it's time we stopped tearing down our fellow bothers and sisters and start rebuilding our nation!

The "missing W keys" was later proved to be fictitious, and the $14,000 in "damage" -- "found" a year later -- as to cover up Laura Bush's spending spree because she wanted everything in "her" colors. The handover from GHWBush to Clinton, on the other hand, was marked by carpets and curtains and furniture that had to be replaced because of ground-in feces and urine stains. Clinton could have saved this country a lot of misery down the road if he had quit obsessing over appointments for a month and had the entire Iran-Contra gang arrested and tried for treason.

McCain did nothing "heroic" as a POW. That same deal -- to be let free in exchange for denouncing the US as aggressors and war criminals -- was offered to EVERY officer and non-com. The penalty for accepting it was court-martial and a dishonorable discharge at the least. McCain, in fact, SHOULD have received a dishonorable discharge for collaboration -- many others who provided far less information and cooperation did -- but he was shielded by his admiral daddy, and the "war hero" story made up as a cover when he immediately dumped his first wife for the billionaire booze bimbo.

"Protectandserve," you need to get your information from some other source than Faux Spews. Iraq had ZERO relations to Al Qaida. In fact, Saddam and bin Laden hated each other's guts, while Saddam was on very good business terms with the US, and the Bush family in particular, who SOLD him the so-called WMDs. I remind you also that the plane hijackings of 9-11-01 were carried out with the full knowledge and cooperation of the Bush-Cheney regime, from the CIA-run flight school to the order to jet interceptors to stand down. The only ting they didn't expect was that the WTC was so badly designed and shoddily constructed. Bush's people had simply planned a spectacle to give him an excuse to seize martial powers.

A war economy is a temporary economy. In the end, it bankrupts a nation. We didn't "win" the cold war because Ray-gun thought the White House was just another movie set -- the Soviets simply went bankrupt sooner than we did. Now their split-up countries are run by various crime syndicates, and our country is owned outright by China.

Most money spent on the "military" actually goes straight into the pockets of the profiteers, not to the men and women on the front line or the businesses that are supposed to be supplying them.

The vast majority of the military opposed wartime-deserter, lying coward, incompetent cocaine-snorting Bush from the day he poked his champagne-unit nose into the campaign. The only exceptions were senior officers and big-business executives, slavering over their promised tax handouts and illegally-manufactured "conflicts."

I dont know about the whole 9/11 thing but the other points you and I agree exactly.

      • Posted By: granny43 @ 11/15/2008 9:42:38 PM

Well, Rexy, do you have one piece of hard evidence to prove all the slanderous things you said about Bush and/or MacCain? Ifyou do and you do not produce it, that makes you complicit in it, doesn't it? If I had the power, I would call you and other mouthy bloggers to account for their accusations. However, Obama is going to empower me with his "Fairless" doctrine. It works both ways, you know.

  • Posted By: jomily @ 11/15/2008 5:37:38 PM

The press and media and everybody are always saying 'It doesnt matter if Obama's black or white" Isnt it racist to say that Obama is the first 'black' president. Everyone's the same right?

  • Posted By: MOII @ 11/15/2008 4:33:13 PM

His father is from Kenya. He describes himself as mixed race. Whats the problem - this is all factual info. He is what he is. There are far more important thing to be discussing than his ancestry.

We're all in this together folks. It's time we through race out the window and become "Americans" rather than black, white, hispanic, jewish, muslim, etc..

  • Posted By: kimzales87 @ 11/15/2008 12:35:31 PM

I agree that President Obama is not "black" as it applies in the US and does not share the same ancestry or history as other African Americans. However, the confusion of how to define his ethnicity highlights the confusion of America's unique "one drop rule." Many a "white" person has been deemed black after discovery of only 1% black ancestry. President Obama has 6% black ancestry and that should in theory make him all black

  • Posted By: kimzales87 @ 11/15/2008 12:30:11 PM

I agree that President Obama does not share the same ancestry or history as other slave-descended African Americans. However your point emphasizes the confusion of what it means to be black. In America the "one drop rule" applies very strongly so that would cause President Obama's 6% black to make him be considered all black!! Even if he were 99% white, he would be America's first "black" President.

The problem is that your "mind" is that of an imbecile Nobody cares what's in it. It couldn't make less difference.

    • Posted By: rexymeteorite @ 11/07/2008 1:45:41 AM

Oh and by the way, you idiot, he was cleared by the CIA to have a TOP SECRET security clearance. All i know is that i had a SECRET security clearance and they did one of the most extensive background checks on me that I have ever seen. INCLUDING ME HANDING OVER, UH OH GUESS WHAT, MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE, SO IF I NEEDED IT, SO DID HE YOU NEO CON DOLT

      • Posted By: Stein @ 11/07/2008 8:13:06 AM

I remember the background check I had submitted myself to when I received a TS clearance for nukes. I do not believe that BO would have passed under the PRP standards that were in place when I applied. ANY use of any drug harder than pot would have flagged it as unacceptable. I also had to explain any and all trips made out of the country, any relatives living in foriegn countries (including members of the US military stationed abroad) and yes, provide an original certified copy of my birth certificate. I'm willing to give this guy a chance, but Bill Clinton is VERY wrong when he says "The voters always get it right". Hillary has been my senator for 8 years and I know that my state has not been served while she was running for president, and neither has Arizona, Illinois, Delaware or Alaska.

Remember that 6% is not a landslide or a mandate. 46% of the electorate is disappointed and should be. BO's background is too mysterious, his affiliations are too radical and as I've said before, the Democrats could have run ANYBODY and won this election. I also believe that 96% of black voters voting for BO is as strong a display of racism as I've witnessed in my lifetime. When interviewed, most of the black interviewees indicated that they voted for BO BECAUSE he was black, not about policy, or whatever else. When exit intervewed, I've never heard a white guy say "I voted for McCain, BECAUSE he is white." We may have elected an African-American, but we still have a long way to go with regards to race relations.

Compared to Bush's NEGATIVE margin -- minus 0.5 -- in 2000 and even his small 2.4% victory in 2004, Obama's 6% feels like a mandate to me. In 2000 more than 50% of the electorate were not only disappointed, they were outraged with the Bush theft. In 2004, 48% of the electorate was "disappointed," significantly more than the poor Republicans of this year who watched their party fall apart.

slander your a JOKE,,,a bad one at that. BO as you so rudely call him has acheived more in his 47 years than you could in two life times. I don't know what you so proudly do for a living but from the way you talk i would think,,,,,,,mabe a latrine cleaner? or is that two complicated for you. Grow up, maybe someday someone will call you Mister instead of idiot.

The key word here is false what most of your statements are. While you want to be thought of as bright and right. You make a fool of yourself. After the last eight year BO would have to start WW III (which he wont, Bush has already got us on that road) and lose to be any worse than we are today.

  • Posted By: ProudDemoChristian @ 11/07/2008 11:24:58 AM

This is in response to Stein. Black voters have HISTORICALLY voted for Democrats. Before President Obama all of the candidates just happenned to be white men. Name a presidential election that blacks have voted Republican. The Republican party itself has shunned the black race. The Republican party also pretends that they are the only people that are Christians. I will take a man who marries a woman and raises two beautiful daughters with her over a man that leaves a disfigured wife for a drugged up, rich Barbie wannabe any day.

  • Posted By: 40YearR @ 11/07/2008 2:57:49 PM

"stein" and "slanderobamacon": Your paranoia, racism and hate, are big reasons why we moderate republicans chose to vote for Obama. Many of us voted against the republican ticket because we realized how many of you now infect the republican party.

Until the R party makes it clear this kind of lunacy is unwelcome, it will continue to shink and lose more elections.

    A 40 year republican

I am not a racist and since when did education become a requirement for voting rights? I did not interview anyone, but I was referring to video snippets seen on CNN, Fox news, CBS etc. IF I had said I voted for McCain BECAUSE he was white, I would be labeled a racist. It's a double standard and I truly believe that we did witness racism on a scale grander than has been evidenced in my 42 years on this planet. Mac was a bad candidate with a bad campaign. I wish him good luck, we all need it. I just wonder who the Democrats will blame stuff on now that they have the keys to the bus and they have the House, the Senate, the Presidency as well as the majority of the governorships and I think statehouses as well. With Bush gone who will be the boogie man?

    HANDLING TERRORISM?
I respect Barak Obama a lot for what He says he means it.
I just want to add that this terror matter has to be taken seriously.
1.Who are their mentors?Inside and outside Pakistan? They be exposed first.
Who are our enemies? What have they against us?I know one thing for sure that no RELIGION PREACHES VIOLENCE.
2.For a poor man Rs 10000 to 15000 is a lot of money,so all those who are jobless accept.
They are brainwshed zombis, used as pawn by their mentors who cash in on them in the name of religion.
Its time to get them both for they are hard core crimnals and you know what?God says to cut their limbs from opposite sides and hang them.
So get them, hang them in public and expose them by Quranic Verses as God does in His Book.
Clean the world of those who are spreading violence in the name of religion, liberation and peace, these facades have lost the charm and none believes the Media when they blabber to cover up the wrongs perpetrated by these devils in disguise.
It looks like a Mafia who cash in on these ongoing violence.
They are the real transgressors,so get them, hang them and clean the world for peace, live and let live, serve the world with love, help others in need, make your home not break it,lift the have nots----.
    Thanks

I don't have high expectations for such a naive man for the presidency. In the end, the truth will be borne out and Obama's boss (that's the people) will either re-elect him or kick him out in four years' time. We'll just have to wait and see. But at least there was some good news: 3 gay-marriage bans passed. Hopefully with the next election season there will be more! Maybe 10 more states! That would be good news.

I think when a new president is elected, especially when it crooses party lines someone mutual should look out for "WE THE PEOPLE" especially in this case. Bush has shown he doesn't respect the American people or its constitution. He forever damaged our syanding with the U.N. He wanted war, so he didn't let them do there job. Instead he gave them the exact day and time the war would begin if they didn't comply. They did. They agreed to let nato in. But the war started right on time. And if you plan a smart war do you really give that much notice. Or like the DEA does in its war on drugs. Suprise. Ready are not were in.

Did you interview the voters from the middle of Texas who did not vote for Obama Barrack because he was black? How about South Dakota and Nebraska where racism against any person of color is a big issue, ask the Native Americans? You CAN"T say that you have never met a person who voted for McCain because he was white.

As we watch President-Elect Obama get his first security briefing, isn't it scary to think that Sarah Palin could be getting her first security briefing along with hours of further instruction, explanations, and pictures to help her understand what she was hearing. Shudder.....

Bill Clinton said the American people always get it right, and I think that was proved again on Tuesday, Nov 4th.

She probably would have needed a pop up book. Either that or a security briefing that looks like a nieman marcus catalogue...
