As we see President-Elect Obama getting his first security briefing, isn't it scary to think that Sarah Palin might have been getting that briefing today and she would need someone to explain, diagram, and draw pictures so she could understand what they were trying to tell her. Shudder.....

Bill Clinton says the voters always get it right and I think we proved that to be true.

Well I hope the Bush team and the Obama team really make an effort to put partisanship aside during this most critical transition and put COUNTRY FIRST.

Richard Pryor had keen insight when he said "White people are so stupid"

European style aristocracy and nobility in America!???

This presidential election has proven that America now has its own European style aristocracy; just in time for our crumbling economy, that would be the Hollywood elite.

    And damn the average citizen!

When I worked for the City of Los Angeles, during the Clinton years it was bantered about that Barbara Streisand had her own private police department that would respond to her every whim, namely the L.A. County Sheriff???s Dept. I???m sure she and others will have that and much more with Obama under their obligation!

Obama's old friend and pastor ???Jeremiah Wright??? was so prophetic when he said "God damn America"

A reminder to everyone that voted for President Obama and those who did not. Change! Change your mind set! It is not about you or me; he or she; this or that; it is about changing the situations WE are in. The fight is not his alone--he has only reminded us that everything WE chose to make better and enduring can be done. We are AMERICANS and it is time that everyone pull up your sleeves and pitch in to bring AMERICA back to "WE THE PEOPLE." It is time to STOP THE MADNESS!

I have listen to the comments made by Mccain and others talk about Obama's lack of experience. My understanding is once you become president you surround yourself with people who do. Look at the Bush administration and tell me how much experience do you need to nearly destroy your own country.Obama will do find, i'm worried about the corporate arena where greed seems to take center stage. After Bush, how bad can anyone else make it? Our country is so caught up with this"do as I say , not as I do syndrome". For years the selected few have gotten rich while the poor struggle, I hope at least the new president put some checks and balances on the ones who think they are above the law or the constitution.

To comment on the subject, I think this transition will be the smoothest ever. Both president Bush and president elect Obama actualy care about the country and don't want any disasters due to political squabling. A lot of the Obama camp will want to make changes right away but Bush will councel Obama on his mistakes he made during the Clinton transition. Now that we have two wars and the hightned terror issue I think both men will set aside most of the petty stuff and make sure all information is available to the new administration. If this doesn't happen then both men should be despised. I; however, think it will be a precident for a smooth transition of power the world has never seen.

anthonyva, I obviously agree that UBL has not been been caught, but he has been nullified in terms of effectiveness.

BTW, oil was already on the rise well before we invaded Iraq and I'm sure that Bush and some of his cronies have made a killing in the oil market, I'd be also willing to bet that George Soros and Warren Buffet have as well.

I do agree with small stuff about CEO's ...

Dear Clatech , all you eggaerations of paying capitol gains tax is not going to bankrupt your company ,your the numskull if you truly believe that, and it was your republican President that spent the trillion dollars that we all have to pay back this enormous debt.
What needs to happen is all the CEO'S and banks and mortgage companys that ran everyons 401k to $0.'s that put this country in it current financial statis needs to be prosecuted and strippped of all there finances to pay down our debt and make them live on social security to pay back our trillion dollar debt and believe .....me 10 ceo's income would do it . make them pay down our debt or go to jail. Iit is not the American peoples debt to pay back. But even eith the raising of taxes it is not going to backrupt any of us.

"I hope you get the help you need. Bush wasn't perfect, but there hasn't been a successful terrorist attack in 6 years on American soil and without security, prosperity isn't possible."

Because, like every presidency, the world challenges us in the 1st yr of office - go to history for that one. just because there wa snot another attack, doesn't mean Bush gets credit for that - there had not been an attack on us soil in 8 yrs prior to that too. however there have been attacks on U.S. Embassies and our allies across the world. BUSH HAS NOT CAUGHT THE MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11 - if someone wants to think that his administration had something to do with the attack in order to start their war and get the cost of oil to soar so they could get rich - how is this less believable than Obama being some sort of "sleeper-cell" which most of Obama opponents somehow believe.

Just curious...how is one man's paranoia any different from another's?

    To TheDieHard:

Are you kidding me?!?! If you truly believe that 9/11 was manufactured by the US government, you need help. Get some counseling.

Everyone knows that there is no 9/11 link between Al Quaida and Iraq as well as the business dealings between the US and Saddam Hussein. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I applaud BO for running a fantastic campaign against George W. Bush, but the sad truth is Stalin could have been the Democratic candidate and he would have won because the unwashed masses (6% differential) have bought "change" being needed and the MSM has sold the bill of goods about the angelic BO and how he will come down from the mountain and save us.

I hope you get the help you need. Bush wasn't perfect, but there hasn't been a successful terrorist attack in 6 years on American soil and without security, prosperity isn't possible.

Are you kidding me?!?! I understand the distaste that can be held between sides, but if you actually think that 9/11 was manufactured by the US government, you should seek counseling. Everybody knows that Saddam Hussein and Al-Quaida were NOT in bed with each other and that the US and Saddam Hussein were business partners for years. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Get Help, fast. a 6% win is not a mandate, it is a simple majority.

I???m so fed up with our corrupt political system after breaking my back for years building my business and fighting from going bankrupt, a bunch of naïve Americans elect an even more naïve career politician, president. I and many of my business partners have decided to pack it in, I???m laying off 50 plus workers starting next month and retiring. No way in hell am I going to pay this numskull???s capital gains tax and run my business into the ground before I can cash out!

The election is over but the bile machines will take a while to wind down as they ejaculate into the strong wind of change to be dispersed onto the cold earth; sad, vulgar, and forlorn.

nomoreGOPyes> Deprogrammed? You, sir, are an arrogant, egotistical *** that is the true waste of the economy's money in keeping you alive. Iraq was assisted because it was under jurisdiction that held tight to close relations with Al-Qaeda... you know... the ones responsible for the attacks on our home soil that killed so many of our people? We "military people" sign our LIVES away to protect this blessed country we are so PRIVILEGED to live in. Military members make an oath; a promise to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. For the real men and women that protect your ass every *** day, maybe you should sit down and shut the *** up. There is no "programming". There is a realization that is made by each and every service member. There are threats outside your comfy little living room with air conditioning. There are threats and those threats are real. I would think that after hearing about all the deaths of our loved ones, that might have become apparent to you.

Seems to me that you're one of the bandwagoners that takes the "everything is fine, why not be in peace" stance to every semi-agressive action this nation takes. While as highly illogical and apathetic that sounds, that might actually be feasible if every country were as priviledged and culturally developed as we are. News flash: They aren't. War is not some out of date method. It still exists because the need is there.

Your Mexican "thieves", as you so racistly express, are people wanting to come here because what we provide is opportunity.

Our economy revolves around warfare, if you were not aware. "War" time is when businesses jump on the chance to blast their products into the market for the military. Computers, vehicles, fuel, planes, ammunition, and more; a large portion of these our own economical system provides. They are paid for by the nation and that money circulates itself back into these businesses. The money is invested in these mostly war-geared corporations that have been around for years.

Stop talking out of your ass and quit obsessing. Welcome to America, if you don't like it then PLEASE feel free to move somewhere else.
