Our new President is "bi-racial" and "multi-cultural" by birth and life experience.. He is intellegent, but never makes me to feel like I'm being "talked down too". He is willing to listen! As President of the United States he is best qualified to lead and unite our ethnically and culturally diverse nation. He is neither financially Rich or Poor and can stand back and see what is really "wrong" with our economy. As leader of what is still (in spite of the past 8 years) the most powerful nation on the Planet, he stands to bring Peace with his insight.

Oh my God, if these are the type of haters we have in this Country, then you all need to get the hell out and go live in iraq.

This is in response to backwater83 who claims that th blacks are the racists here. My guess is that he is white and the baddest of all racist. who in their correct mind did not see that Obama is the better, more educated, more intelligent and more presidential of the two candidates. It is common knowlegde that the whites that did not vote for obama did so not becauast the did not see that he was clearly the better of the two but that they could not bring themselves to vote for a black man. However, in the spirit of one America, iof we call ourselves civilized, we should actually at this time put all of these things behind us and try and work together as one to lift or beloved country back to the staus our forefathers and elderstatemen originally brought it to i.e. the superpower of the world. Michelle will be a wonderful First Lady. I love her spunky attitude. She's a real asset to her husband and a great mother and lawyer.

MrIndia I'm not picking on race. Don't care either way what color you are. We are all made the same. Head , body, two arms and 2 legs. It's not up to any of us anymore.. We have had our chance at fixing whats wrong with this country and all countries. But we have choosen not to believe and that is now our downfall. Wow! Look at some of these comments. You would think that some of the Einsteins on this site graduated from Princeton and Haaahvad Law like she did. These comments reek of jealousy and disdain. It seems like she did pick up her books and studied. amen to blacklikeme. If McCain, Palin and W are pledging their support, then everyone needs to get there. The new president just inherited the biggest nightmare ever and has the bigballs to take it on. Let's all get behind him and give our support regardless of who we wanted in that white house.

I am proud to finally have a president that is engaging and motivating, to me as a black woman, its more than just the color of his skin. There can be no true change until the ideals of the wicken are faded. I'm not by any means stating that the folks that voted for McCain are wicked and that Obama is some long lost hero... But I am not naive to believe that he can bring about change, he will line his cabinet with capable confident leaders. Give the man a chance, America gave the Bush administration a chance as as result we are in a depression, and he'll leave the White House richer than when he came because, he's lined his pockets with our hard earned money in the oil business. All in all the Obamas seem to be a real family, I look forward to fresh gust of wind that will blow the White House doors wide open come January.

Michelle as first "lady" (I use the term loosely) is just a scary thought. Any person who can read body language can see right through her. But she puts on a good show (I guess) for the media, and they eat it right up. My advice to Obama would be to follow in the steps of the former Democrat of the White House (Clinton) and to have an affair.
