        obama fan - why the personal attack? In SOME countries, women don't wear slacks, show bare skin, or even show their faces. Have you ever travelled outside the country? All I said was she'll be representing America in some of these places and will need to dress conservatively. I'm disappointed she's not doing it now. If you want to refer to current fashion in America, would you want her sporting tats on those bare arms of hers? You're right - my legs are hairy - most guys legs are.

All this hatred and 'opinions' about things that MOST of these poeple have no idea about in the first place is rediculous! This is the UNITED States of America! Get it PEOPLE, UNITED!!! iIf you dont want to be a part of the solution REGARDLESS of who was elected, then you are part of the problem and you should just do us all a favor and move out of the U.S.!     It always amazes me how, when American-Africans spout nasty comments concerning White politicians, it's never regarded as "racial" but, when American-Whites voice their concerns over this questionable President-elect, the backlash screams of racial overtones.

    A few American-Africans, interviewed after the election by some New York press, made comments like "I wouldn't vote for an old man for President; what if he "catches" a heart attack? Then we got to do voting all over again"! Yet another woman stated that "Obama was going to make her finances better"; fortunately, this type of American-African mentality represents just a small percentage of the horribly un-educated people who voted for Obama. Another idiotic comment from Spike Lee touted "the end of slavery"; unless we all missed the memo, slavery ended quite some time ago.

    Now we have Michelle Obama who dresses like she raided Tina Turner's wardrobe. Someone needs to assist her with her vocabulary for future interviews so that she doesn't bandy about the word "stuff" quite so frequently. Mrs. Obama has big, First Lady, shoes to fill and it's doubtful that she will, in the next four years, ever develop the grace and finesse of the First Ladies who have come before her.

    Barack Hussein Obama's performance as President will make, or break, the chances of any American-African of ever obtaining such power in the United States. He will need to watch his every step and completely rely on the expertise and knowledge of those who will show him the correct doors to open in making the best decisions for our country.

      Why do we all have to be categorized the same becuase of statements by a few? Some of the staments that you mentioned have been said by all nationalities, and you don't lump them together. I am an individual with individual thoughts and want to be recognized such. Why don't we all make a conscientious effort to start trying to look at people individually. That would be a start to a better America.

      This election will most likely cause a greater divide between races, it's overdue and has become an issue where blacks go do as they please and whites are forbidden to do or say anything that might offend them. Someone needs to sue the producers of that damn show "Chocolate News" , what a bunch of reveverse racial discrimination, where's the ACLU when white rights are viloated. Don't be suprised if a race war occurs, it could happen...

      bojond, You should check your facts before you start using the McCain/Palin line that Obama wants to "spread the wealth". Obama wants to go back to the SAME tax percentages that were under Clinton before Bush came into office. For those making $250K or more, you would go back to the same tax percentages before Bush. 95% of Americans will receive a tax cut. You can't receive a tax cut if you don't pay taxes- right? However, you might see a tax benefit if you are paying some other form of taxes. I think it is so ironic that we are all for helping the big businesses, banks, etc. ($700B Bailout Plan) and that's not considered "spreading the wealth" or socialism. However, when we give tax breaks to hardworking ordinary Americans (not those who don't work; you can't give tax breaks to people who don't work) it's socialism. We are talking about tax breaks here. I'm not sure when tax breaks started being considered as socialism. By the way, you should read up on the Republican voter fraud out there. Wow!

      I think most of us that are unhappy with this election, saw the corruption of ACORN, (ie you bought illegal votes) and the corruption and greed that is leading to the demise of democracy as we know it. ACORN got people out of the inner city , that had not by their own admission, voted in 40 years.....if you didn't care to vote in 40 years, what magical bullet made you vote this time? Maybe if you want this SOCIALIST government YOU are the one that should look for another country. I for one am tired of barak's plan for me to "share the wealth" It wreaks of SOCIALISM. When you account for 42% of the people in this country paying NO TAXES, the other 58% have to work awfully hard!!!!

    Yes! Thank goodness we can all be united now. Nothing will seperate us and we will all be so excited to do the good works of Obama! Thank God for his election. I can't wait for the goodies he will giving out to all of us. oops, I guess I just realized I won't be one of those because I work! Oh well, thank God that I'm not selfish and will be looking forward to "giving" my good hard earned cash to a government that will decide who and where it goes and welfare programs that have such fantastic track records of success. Like for instance the "growth" of the African American Family from a mom/dad children unit to todays "family". Of course I suppose the other good thing will be folks like me who don't really won't to "give" to this won't have to worry too long, because with all the "bad" and "evil" corporations needing to be shut down, there won't be any jobs, so I will be able to join the ranks of those who don't work and we can all be miserably happy together.

    Fortunately, I don't really think this will happen; however, it certainly could be possible if Lord Barack has his way! Pray that he won't and he will just be able to sit there and smile the next four years away!

      I completely agree. God does expect us to vote for the correct person. The correct person being the person that supports the Christian values our country was founded upon and the right of all persons to have the opportunity for life (unborn children). We cannot make issues such as the economy or the war more important than the moral issues of God. I am the wife and sister of two soldiers, and I would love nothing more than for this war to be over, but economics won't matter if we are not safe at home, if we don't stand and fight for what is right. The faithful religious are not unintelligent rednecks. We are people that live and vote based on our faith in God. It is a sad day when our nation loses sight of the issues most important.

        The problem with many that agree with your logic is that your concern for (unborn) children ends with their birth. The US has some of largest infant morality rate of any industrialized country. Sure it's easy to tell someone else they must bring a child to term, when you can just turn your back on them when they need help feeding and clothing them. (Then its redistribution) The fact is that when the economy is doing well, abortions go down - as in the Clinton years and when they economy is bad - abortions go up - as in the Bush years. We will be safe at home when we use the money we spend killing people and secure our borders. We will be safe at home when we stop trying to strip other countries of their resources so we can live high and mighty. This war is not about making us safe, it is about gaining control of the oil fields. Faith is a great thing, but when it narrows your view of the facts it is no different than that of the Taliban fanatics - a lot of energy poured in the wrong direction. I'm sure you mean well, but the moral issues here reside on a grander scale, think of the deaths caused by a goal defined and enacted by an neoconservative ideology (please Google this) which most of the Bush Administration believe in. It is their opinion that 'the masses' are ignorant and must be lied to, and that religion is a good forum to manipulate the masses. They (neoconservatives) have wanted a war with Iraq for over a 2 decades. Look up their ties to the military manufactures. Look up the CIA involvement in both 1953 assignation of Iran's democratic president and training of AL-Queda. They don't hate us because we are free, they hate us because of all the immoral acts we have inflicted on them for more than 60 years. I pray for your family members in Iraq as I also pray for all the millions of innocent people out there that have no more control over this war than you or I.
