The American Flag has RED in it, the color of blood. Whether you are Asian, Caucasian, Native American, Hispanic, African American, Latino or Oriental, all bleed RED blood. My suggestion is simple: Let's try, with every fiber of our being, to make this country one of the best places on earth to live by coming together, working toward the common good of all. Even the Constituition of the USA states that all are created equal. The color of one's skin has nothing to do with his/her character. There is good and evil in every ethnic group, but there again, its pertaining to character. Learn to not judge each other based on ethnicity, but rather let God be the judge and jury. Let's learn to live together in harmony. I would rather agree to disagree than dislike or hate someone based on the color of their skin.....that's just pure sin and it make one a miserable person. I can not close this comment without saying that I am happy for Sen. Obama and I stand behind most of the issues he will address as the President of the USA. There are some things that I disagree with and I will continue to pray that God changes his mindset on those issues. Also, I suggest that everyone else pray for the leaders of this nation and every other nation in the world. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I have always been taught that all means ALL(everyone). Just begin to petition God and he will make everything work out for our good. Delorescranston, are you serious? I think anyone who denies the significance of this victory is ignorant and out of touch. Obama did not win BECAUSE he was Black. He won because he was the best candidate for the job, and has an intangible quality that inspires people, a new approach to politics that gives us hope in the best of people and bringing people together for the betterment of our country. So his race had nothing to do with WHY he won. However, it IS a significant victory because of his race and the history of African Americans in our country. It is a new day, a new genereation, a new sense of hope in the possibilities, the opportunities available to people. He is an inspiration to all. Any victory for one race or group of us, is a victory for all of humanity. I am WHote, and I can see that, too. Blacks are not the only group elated and overjoyed about this. And if you can't see or appreciate that, there is something wrong with your views of the world. and people in it.

Maybe with honesty and straight forward talk from our president, we may all see the light. I did not vote for Obama, however, I am willing to give him a chance to prove himself to the people of the United States and the world. I will support him...he is our next president. However, I do have some concerns about the new first lady. I have read many of her views and I am afraid of their influence on the President. If you're going to live in the United States (Mrs. Obama), you need to learn ot have love and respect for ALL its people. I don't believe you have much respect for any of us. iI understand that the youth are the future and I am for education for everyone, but I think it needs expanding to a more diverse group. I am a 52 year old with a BA degree, I teach as an Art specialist for very little pay and I could use more schooling to make a livable wage. Problem is I aalready have student loans and can handle no more debt. I cannot find work that is even a minimum wage job because all the store and jobs want teens that have strong bodies and who have parents that cover their needs so they don't need benifits. I know I am not a alone. I think people in my age group are such a great untapped resource I hope the Obama's will realize that. Char Fowler
