Hey "BLM" - don't think all whities are bad. We're just as embarassed by these uneducated, ignorant crackers are you are. Barack & Michelle rock, and most of us are thrilled he was elected. As for those morons who are angry...they would have been just as angry if Hillary, or a Democratic white guy, or some other person was elected. Let's face it, if they didn't have their "hate" to pour all their energy into, they'd have to go beat on the dog. Oh wait...they probably do beat on the dog. Anyway...don't let 'em get to ya - they're just stupid and they can't help it.

In reference to the King as my President, the only king I have is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I cannot believe the comments on this board. I am not happy with America's choice, but I do want what is best for America and hope and pray that the next four years are good ones. It just amazes me that black people think if you did not vote for Obama, then you must be a racist. What about issues. That is what I based my vote on, and that does NOT make me a redneck. I simply voted my moral conscience. From these comments, the only impression that I get (and of course it is a generalization) is that most black people would like to be superior to other races, and I am certain that is not the case with a lot of people. After all, wasn't it Martin Luther King, Jr. who wanted people to not see color. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Grow up and do your race a favor and act the way you want to be treated. Show some respect because that is what you are expecting Right??? Enjoy your kool-aid.

**clapping for mustbepositive** I'll let you have those 2 seconds of "fame"...Please...re-read these posts and dont ever utter the word respect to me again.

Obama is as much white as he is black. He was raised by white grandparents and a white mother. This doesn't have to do with race. It is people like you that are making it an issue.

  • Posted By: lilcupcake @ 11/06/2008 2:48:26 PM

I think and pray for Barack Obama and his family. He has so much ahead and I really believe He will be a wonderful President but on this website I see alot of racial; comments. I am white and I voted for Obama. It not about race people its about a man who is trying to do right for his country and I think he would be a little upset if he read some the comments on this page. Race should not be the issue. Black and Whites should come together because skin color doesnt matter at this moment. I dont feel Obama wants it to be that way at all. so stop making it about race and just be glad we got change and we should be The UNITED States of America. Be as proud as Obama black or White because even if Barack Obama was White all who voted should say they would vote for him if he was black or white. If you voted because he was black that was the dumbest thing you ever done, If he was white and you would still vote for him then you made a wise decision. God bless Obama

    • Posted By: excuseme @ 11/06/2008 3:14:18 PM

I completely agree. I feel that people keep focusing on the past. I did not come over here 200 years ago and take this country from the indians. And thankfully my husband ,who is half indian doesn't blame me either. What happened in the past is something I can't change. Whats done is done. I feel that is what Barak Obama is about . It doesn't matter ,because it can't be changed. What does matter is that we work together to make it a world where our children and grand children won't consider having a black or woman president monumental. I think that we have come a long way. I grew up hearing about how the bible says that races shouldn't mix. Even African American families would get upset over interracial couples. By the way the bible says no such thing. I had a Baptist minister explain and as usual someone had taken what was written out of context so that they could justify their prejudices. Moses was married to a black Ethiopian woman. On the subject of voting for Barack Obama just because he is black, that doesn't make sense. He is bi-racial, he was raised by white grandparents. I feel that he can therefore have a feel for the black and white community. He was also raised during a time when his being bi-racial may have gotten him persecuted by others. That is why I voted him because he doesn't care where we've been he just cares where going.

People !!! Look at the STATISTICS on ALL VOTES throughout America, you will see that predominately and statisically it was not ONLY Black votes nor ONLY White votes that lead this great country to a victory !! It was all votes from ALL PEOPLE !!!! Not ONLY Black and not ONLY White, BUT ALL ! For the record ...... there is more "White" people in USA then there are any other race. GOD ..... STOP THIS BICKERING !!!

  • Posted By: An American and Proud of it @ 11/06/2008 3:13:41 PM

When I researched to death the reason I would and did vote for Barrack Obama, I wanted to know more about him and what he stood for. I have come to find a genuine man who is genuinely concerned for each of us as Americans. I did not see color, I did not even sense a bit of racist in him. As far as the African American's be overjoyed because Our New President happens to be Black and White, I can not blame them in the least. I am over joyed. I am a white women in her 50's and I can't be anymore over joyed then I am. So please take a hard look at our President and look past the color. He is a good man and he cares. God made us all equally. Let's share in the new beginning's together and be proud to be an American!!

I was able to go to one of Michelle's rallies, and I was really impressed by her sense of humor, her decency, her respect for people, and her commitment to helping and supporting others. She is one very smart, classy lady who puts those in trouble first. Those are rare qualities these days.

    • Posted By: gigglinggirl @ 11/06/2008 3:13:15 PM

She is a decent, smart, attractive woman, and all those who are making snide comments about her are 350 pounds, wearing their Wal-Mart clothes, and spending their days make rude comments on the internet, because they don't have a job. Michelle rocks.

  • Posted By: angelomilia @ 11/06/2008 3:12:08 PM

People like this idiot that keeps commenting with his own hate, should be locked up. Keep positive for all not just yourself! Always a hand over the heart. Obama had to work hard and he did. Let him be and we can support our new president. It is the way it is. Live with it!

  • Posted By: jojosmammy @ 11/06/2008 2:27:00 PM

To BlackLikeMe - in my experience there seem to be more Angry Black People out there than angry white people. You write as if you might be one of them. Look inside because that is where change starts.

    • Posted By: Mom2A&J @ 11/06/2008 3:11:41 PM

That was said eloquently!!! Too perfect!

  • Posted By: BostonTeaParty13 @ 11/06/2008 2:51:41 PM

Suzie I don't think WE are talking about Race. In Mainstream Media keeps telling us it is about race. I have said over and over again. This election is NOT about race. It was about shifting this Country to the Left. However, in the middle of the election the economy crashed. So, now WE have elected a President that will say he has a mandate to Socialize this Country. Enjoy your tax hikes and we can blame it all on Bush:)

    • Posted By: dolorescranston @ 11/06/2008 2:59:14 PM

Boston, 43% of WE didn't elect Mr. Obama. If race is not an issue, why all the tears of joy and celebration about The Dream being fufilled with this election???

      • Posted By: Sunshine1957 @ 11/06/2008 3:11:14 PM

BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY STUPID PEOPLE IN THE WORLD - ESPECIALLY IN BOSTON!

  • Posted By: maureecash @ 11/06/2008 3:10:25 PM

god is good and God is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: BostonTeaParty13 @ 11/06/2008 2:35:32 PM

Republicans watch what you say here. Remember Obama has a million community organizers with nothing to do now. They will be seeking you out. The are already working on the Fairness Doctrine to eliminate Conservative Talk Radio. Gloria Allred is challenging Prop 8 in California. God can't even help us now.

    • Posted By: Justbelieve @ 11/06/2008 3:09:52 PM

If I were you, I would be very careful in limiting the power of the almighty God. He can do whatever he wants, to whomever he wants, and whenever he wants. He can do "all things" but fail

    • Posted By: bikedr @ 11/06/2008 3:08:43 PM

they need to get ride of MSNBC for all you left wingers then LOL

  • Posted By: nikki365 @ 11/06/2008 3:08:26 PM

to: mmorock@msn: so what if someone voted for him because he's Black? There're many who WONT vote for him because he's Black. Besides, as a Black person with a small child, I would love for for my child to see a Black in an important position so that she'll know that it's possible for her to dream big. This is one of the main reasons why Blacks vote for Obama. Many of our kids give up quickly because they assume there's a limit to their success. I'm just so excited about the outcome of this election. I wish it had happened before I went to college & law school; I probably would have been much more confident and not doubt myself. I also would have achieved more than I have.

  • Posted By: 1stop12 @ 11/06/2008 1:36:50 PM

Like Obama Michelle has her head on her shoulders and she isn't hiding in the background like most First Ladies have! I dont understand how people can be mad really, OUR country is in failure because of BUSH if he is so great then why are we struggling so hard? Obama is for changing ways and making this economy better if people would just hear him out before judging him they would understand, I was raised around nothing but Republicans, but I voted for the first time this year and i voted Obama, doesnt make me democrat either I just went for the one i believed in more. Only thing people have against him is his skin color, his name and because people cannot stand to see someone like him in charge. But if people would get out of the hole and LISTEN things would be ok. But OBAMA will prove everyone wrong i know it. Im very confident and i stand for Obama ALL THE WAY!! The whole war siuation wee are spending billions of dollars in another country and our own country is going under??? ok.. And also we are trying to help a country that doesnt want it?? ok.. WE HAVE OUR OWN COUNTRY WE NEED THE HELP BUSH COULDNT SEE THAT AND MCCAIN WAS JUST ANOUTHER BUSH.. WE NEEDED CHANGE AND OBAMA IS GOING TO DO THAT!! YES WE CAN YES WE CAN!!

    • Posted By: Lee NC @ 11/06/2008 1:42:43 PM

People, CONGRESS and CLINTON are far more responsible for today's issues than Bush. If any of you actually understood how Govt works you would know that, but then again, it is evdident that you dont because of who you voted for. As far as Yes We Can, here's my version: "Yes They Can" fool the white race and todays youth, Yes They Can use the media to buy the highest office in the land, Yes They Can perpetrate the greatest Fraud in History, YES THEY DID !

    • Posted By: LHRAY @ 11/06/2008 1:42:12 PM

of course the democrats in congress are completely free of any guilt

    • Posted By: Ezzraa @ 11/06/2008 1:39:59 PM

And what ways will he change for the better? And how will he make the econmy better? Please list some facts that Obama has said that will make EVERYTHING better. I dont understand why Americans are vouching for him just on his word alone.

  • Posted By: Las Vegas Doug @ 11/06/2008 12:59:30 PM

For the first time in my life, I am ashamed of the First Lady.

    • Posted By: Msnsis @ 11/06/2008 1:07:43 PM

Why, because she's African American? Wow...one thing that I can say about this election is that all of you racist people out there have been EXPOSED. If this man's name had not been what is was and if he had not been of African descent...all of tbis nonsense would not even be discussed....people like you are the very reason I pray EXTRA hard for Obama and his precious family.

      • Posted By: Las Vegas Doug @ 11/06/2008 3:06:18 PM

Ahh, another hyphenated American...how typical. You are the same typr of person to call a European American "white", yet get upset by African Americans being called "black".
        YOU are the racist.

    • Posted By: Thoughtful Reader @ 11/06/2008 1:05:39 PM

Do you mean that drug abuse and alcholism (as displayed and acknowledged by Mrs. Ford ) was not enough to cause you shame? If not, I presume that you believe that Cindy McCain's acknowledged drug abuse of prescription main killers is acceptable and would provide an appropriate role model for our youth?

      • Posted By: Las Vegas Doug @ 11/06/2008 2:59:42 PM

I was not old enough to vote during the Ford years, and Mrs. McCain was never the First Lady.
Please try to increase your intelligence before exposing your ignorance again.

    • Posted By: cnzo @ 11/06/2008 1:14:48 PM

I totally agree with you Las Vegas Doug. She needs a CRASH course on etiquette!

    • Posted By: hoffman199 @ 11/06/2008 1:09:22 PM

Why is this? What has she done to you?

    • Posted By: Props2000 @ 11/06/2008 1:02:31 PM

You'e an idiot and probably are ashamed of yourself.

  • Posted By: Snaranjo86 @ 11/05/2008 11:19:08 PM

It is really hard to even say this, but the world's number #1 racists are my people (white). It is unfortunate that people still live in the past when all of this was done back when Abe Lincoln abolished it all. The JFK era fought for civil rights and what is right and all sorts of good stuff has happened. Why can't people grow out of being ignorant rascals and truely become adults? Congratulations to Obama and his family, we all will see change.

    • Posted By: wickwick @ 11/06/2008 12:59:21 PM

This is not about his race it's about the lack of experiment this so called man has

      • Posted By: Ranceco @ 11/06/2008 3:06:05 PM

If it's not about his race, then why is he a "so called man"? Please, your ignorance is showing not only in your comments, but in the lack of your ability to spell.

  • Posted By: chjohn @ 11/06/2008 2:55:07 PM

To L.Ann and all the other racist morons posting the bigotry I'm reading........ what gives you the right to claim the superior judgement you are portraying....could it be the "white" pigment in your skin. Oh yes!!...we white people have so much to be proud of. Let us talk about hundreds of years of enslavement, punishment, murder, rape, torture on fellow.. HUMAN BEINGS.. due to skin color. Let us talk about how us WHITIES denied our fellow brothers and sisters after the civil war the full rights that we "WHITIES" enjoy. Let us talk about denial, bigotry, superiority. After 8 years of the most idiotic White President that this country has ever seen I find President Elect Obama and Michelle a true "breath of fresh air". Us "Whities" have driven this country into the ground, let's give a very intelligent man with darker skin color a chance to restore this great country of ours. I wish Michelle and President Elect Obama the best and may God bless. I am a white male who at times is ashamed that his skin color is......... white.

    • Posted By: dolorescranston @ 11/06/2008 3:05:51 PM

You can get help for your whiteness, I saw an old move where men painted their faces black and sang a song about Mamie.

    • Posted By: SuzieReeve @ 11/06/2008 3:04:35 PM

To CHJohn - wow, do you hear yourself? Let's have a history class. Black Cheiftains sold the slaves to the slave traders so the first enslavement of black human beings was BY black human beings. Throughout history people have enslaved other people for many reasons. It is never right, but often socially acceptable. THANKFULLY our ancestors were wise enough to see past the mistakes of their ancestors and corrected the injustice in this country - at least where black human beings are concerned. Racism is alive today because we segregate ourselves with labels and Affirmative Action. Lets just be people - AMERICANS, and stop being so focused on race. I am a woman - a Conservative - of Native American decent - and a Republican. BUT, I am an American FIRST. I didn't vote for Obama and not because he is black, but because he is too liberal for me. However, as our President I'll support him and show him the respect of the Office. I am however offended that the focus of this election is on his race "first black president". So what, it isn't that he is black it is that he is a Democrat and a Liberal with a political platform that the majority of the country supported. Let's stop the race nonsence.

  • Posted By: Vanessa2008 @ 11/06/2008 3:05:22 PM

Obama as president is a "SPIRITUAL AWAKENING" to America and to the World !!!! Accept as a GIFT even if you did not voted for him.
