    despite not having voted for him, i think obama is a intelligent, statesman a good family man who will do what is right for our country. he has a beautiful family and it will be nice watching his family grow up in hte next years and we all must pull together now to solve this country's toughest issues>>>economy, war and health care.

    Comment: For those of you who are not happy with the outcome of this election, stop complaining and blaming and hating. Just MOVE!!! you've got many places that you can go outside of the US if you feel that strongly about Obama being President. Seriously! We have too much to work together on right now to make sure our kids are ok and our future is ok. All this hatred and 'opinions' about things that MOST of these poeple have no idea about in the first place is rediculous! This is the UNITED States of America! Get it PEOPLE, UNITED!!! iIf you dont want to be a part of the solution REGARDLESS of who was elected, then you are part of the problem and you should just do us all a favor and move out of the U.S.! Period! I am sure Canada or Mexico even (if you dont like the cold) would be GLAD to have you!

    How fortunate to have the future first lady being so level-headed and community minded. There have been so many commentaries comparing her to to Jackie O--- I mean no disrespect to Mrs. Kennedy BUT her focus in the White House was on the cultural aspects and style WHEREAS MRS. OBAMA IS FOCUSING ON THE COMMUNITY- and how we all can interact on so many levles. BRAVO! I wish them both well....

    I am so happy and proud of everyone that voted for obama.     Barack becoming President of The United States is a blessing from God. Maybe this will bring some kind of peace with each other. Now, there is no such thing as an inferior race or dominant race. Most of us wanted change in the U.S and we got it.

    Keep in mind, the reason that McCain lost the election is firstly because who the hell wants to deal with the same bullshit we've had to deal with for the past 8 years. No one in their right mind would want to. And second, his whole campaigne and the majority of the people that followed him was negative, racist and lack of other words ignorant. People threatening Obama's life and and saying ignorant comments like the few comments below mine. It's senseless. Obama is a Christian man who believes and have followers that believe in him. If we can deal with an airhead like bush,, then the least you racist folks can do is shut the hell up with your dumb comments and let this man help America. The White House is not called the "White House" because of white presidents.. so don't blow things out of proportion by calling it the "Black House" because we now have a black President..       Have you been educated? You sound like you did not go to school. Perhaps you could go to school, get a job and make your own money so that the government won' t have to give you a handout. You will be happier and have more self respect. Having more self-respect and the abilty to think and analyze will help you make a a much more educated decision four years from now.       I am truly saddened by the postings on this page and others like it. I think we all could stand a lessen in common decency. With the inauguration of President-Elect Obama on January 20th, our country will enter a new era in our history, and it will be critical to come together as a nation to address the ills that affect us all. I am an African-American female and will admit readily admit there is racism, sexism and hatred from all nationalities. No one owns the franchise on ignorance. Collectively, we need to understand that our chain as a country is only as strong as the weakest link, and look to fix the problems we face. We have a long road ahead.

      I wish godspeed and goodwill to the Obamas, Bidens, McCains and Palins. I can't fathom having my entire life dissected on an international stage and for these individuals, doing so represents a deep belief in their convictions and values and a dedication to serve this country.

    To the person who said God has chosen Obama as the leader, please don't be mistaken. God did not choose anyone, man did. God gives us the freedom to make our own decisions, right or wrong, and yes, he will sit back and watch us self-destruct. There is no way that anyone who is a true Christian would have ever voted for Obama and his radical extremist views.

        Wrong again, when Israel asked for a king, God allowed Samuel to choose a king for them; it was Saul and began a long downward spiral for the country that hit rock bottom when their connectedness with God deteriorated.         Where do you see any hatred? My my, I just clarified that God did not choose our president, we did. And I cannot see how anyone who says they are a Christian and reads the Bible, could vote for a man who believes it is OK to murder unborn children and says that marriage is fine between same sex couples. I pray for our nation and I will pray for the Obamas and now I will pray for you too.

    I am 63 years old and I am thanking God for the opportunity to be here in this historic moment to see a Black President elected. May God bless him, surround him with his presence, protect him from all eveil and continue to give him the wisdom to rule The United States Of America in a good way.     It will be wonderful having a president that speaks in sentences and paragraphs, and is a joy to listen to. This has been the most amazing time, to experience history in the making, watching this long campaign until the final glorious day we voted after waiting in the long lines of eager citizens in our districts.
