As an american I am truly proud that the best man (although some amy disagree) won the race for the presidency. President elect Obama will have the opportunity to put his plans to work. The country is in a terrible state and it did not get there overnight, it will take a great man to begin the work that needed and hard work. I strongly believe that the country has made the right choice. However, it is sad that many of the comments reflect the color of the man and not his substance. Let us all agree that he has created hope for the nation regardless of the color of his skin. May god bless the Obama family and the country. Please remember that disparaging remarks of another individual (Michelle Obama) demonstrates insecurity in oneself. So, if you have nothing good to say, "Don't say anything at all.

L.Ann...your are either miss informed or really STUPID! I bet you are one of those people who think that the holocost helped the jews!! I really don't understand people like you..nobody owes anybody anything we are all in this togeather. What happened in the past to families in Africa was not to help save a race it was to exploit one. I suppose with your logic it would be ok to come in and buy someone who is weak in your family or maybe just take them cause they are weak and why should your family be burdened...then they could be sold and put to hard labor till there dead. May the continous blessings of the Lord to be upon him, give him the strength, the courage and to direct him to the right direction so he may be able to fulfilled his goals as a President and to help make The United States of America a better and safe place to live, and to help make The United States of America a good role model a set good examples to other countries, and hopefully the world will join in together for peace and learn to love one another.

I think helping out in the community in order to receive financial assistance with school is a great idea!

to istop12,,, and how said that must have been for our black americans, i cant even imagine the pain they went threw way back in the 40,s 50, and 60,s this is america and man i am just glad i was not born around that time. i am white american and am not racist, my kids are 20something and i brought them up to love every human being, and it worked , they dont see the color of someone skin, they see the person they are. we have come a long way, and i so agree with you... god bless you and your family roxxy51
