Its so LAME that people get on here and downgrade the election, when BUSH has lied lied lied and lied. Its time for a change. To many people living in the past. I'm tired of everyone being so racist and stuck up. We all bleed red blood, so we are no different. Give Obama a chance, we have been tourched with high a** gas prices, decreasing jobs, at war for really no reason. I mean damn how many years have we had a republican in office??? and almost every time the economy suffers. White Black Indian Asian whatever race you might be im proud to be an American, I'm proud to be apart of this country. AND I SUPPORT OBAMA. I might not can speak for the past(slavery, africans being brought to this country) but I damn Show can make a change for the future. 2009 baby here we come!

JUST AS WE RALLIED BEHIND OUR CHOSEN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES, IT IS TIME TO PUT EVERYTHING BEHIND US AND RALLY BEHIND OUR NEW PRESIDENT ELECT BARRACK OBAMA. LET'S ALL GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THE COUNTRY. I AM ONE OF THE VOTERS WHO VOTED FOR THE MCCAIN/PALIN TICKET AND MUCH THAT I DON'T AGREE WITH A LOT OF PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA'S AGENDA I BELIEVE HE WILL IN HIS HEART DO WHAT IS POSSIBLE AND BEST FOR THE COUNTRY. WITH REGARDS TO MICHELLE'S RECENT INTERVIEW, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED SHE SEEMS TO BE ONE CLASSY LADY, INTELLIGENT, AND GOOD HEARTED WITH STRONG FAMILY VALUES WHICH IS REFLECTED IN THE WAY SHE TAKES CARE OF HER FAMILY, AND MAKING HER FAMILY COME FIRST. SHE WILL MAKE A GREAT ROLE MODEL FOR WORKING AND NON-WORKING MOTHERS. BERNADETTE

RE RBAGENT's comment: Thank you for your comment. Thank you for being a class act and an example for others. I will remember your comment as an example of someone who is thinking of the country as a whole. You give me hope and faith in my fellow Americans.

remember what Martin Luther King said, people shouldn't be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their charecter. stop classifying people by colors or ethnicities, please! we are in the 21st century!

It was a sad day the day that Obama was elected!

  • Posted By: is9enuf @ 11/06/2008 1:37:23 PM

Our President Elect Barack Obama and our First Lady Michelle Obama have my deepest respect for their family values. Hearing her heartfelt words in this interview has warmed my heart. My mother is my best friend and has been a loving support to my children as they were growing up and even now as adults. Today as she battles cancer she is still available to her children and grandchildren with open arms, an open heart and words of encouragement . Hearing our First Lady include her mother for the benefit of her and our
President's children really warmed my heart. I would like to add that even though I have not had the pleasure of visiting the White House, nor do I know much about how our First Lady's can decorate, I do hope the girls will have their new rooms decorated just the way they want so they will feel at home in the White house. God
    Bless her and her family!

Wow... a lot of haters in this country. Seriously, since what happened happened, and now there's nothing anyone can do about it, we all just have to grin and bear everything that comes out of this. How about a TINY bit of support to the people who will be a part in running this country instead of blatantly attacking them? If you were going for president, I don't think you would know much about what to expect in the white house, or how things are run.

AND to the "wealthy" person below me... suck it up. At least donate some of it to charity or even just be willing to give up taxes because it will better OUR country. As long as people in this country have enough money for food, housing, education, fuel, everything that we need to JUST survive, then our country will prosper. Debt will go down, things will at least become semi-normal again.

I hope that you land in a mediocre retirement home, selfish piece that you are.

Her ROLE? Her role is to be wife to the President of the United States of America! That's ALL her 'role' is! We didn't elect HER to anything!

  • Posted By: CouldCareLessAnymore @ 11/06/2008 1:35:52 PM

Start showing the bin Obamas some respect by getting your religons straight...

To be correct you should say "may Allah bless them"...

  • Posted By: BlackRepublican1 @ 11/06/2008 1:35:51 PM

To mmateo: Watch it !! Your igorance is showing. I am an African American that did not vote for Obama. However, as an American I will always respect WHOEVER is in the office of President of the United States. I am extremely proud of the BARRIERS that Obama DESTROYED by winning BUT he and I did not see eye to eye on some KEY MORAL ISSUES.

Hey with all this talk going on our new pres and spredding around the wealth may sound good ,but it just lets people get somthing for nothing. THis way they can keep raising babies and getting a check. Black people saying white people should not call black people black what about white people being called white, whe are all people, back to spredding the wealth when are we going to get our 40 acres and mule.

Negatove comments only show how low and ignorant you are. Full of sour grapes and bound for destruction!

re RBAGENT's comment.: I'm impressed. Thank you for being a class act. You give me faith in my fellow Americans.

MIchelle Obama needs to remember to respect the current President of the United States, and refer to him properly as President Bush. They are going to expect to receive the same respect. Unfortunately, being in the habit of derogatory, rude, and knowingly misleading rhetoric of political campaigns seems to remain, and it is time to stop. I realize she was not proud to be an American prior to being a presidential candidates wife, but now it is time to at least start acting the part.

  • Posted By: Vanessa2008 @ 11/06/2008 1:33:37 PM

The Real truth is>>>>>>>> Doesn't matter who is the new President !!! We ALL AMERICANS will have to work HARD to build this country back since Bin Laden messed up in 2001 !!!! What is wrong with you Republican haters? Seriously, you all need to evaluate where your severe personality disorders come from and get some therapy.

  • Posted By: wonkajim @ 11/06/2008 1:16:22 PM

His race is a factor. It is why so many lazy africans voted for the 1st time regardless of his policies. And yes....a milado born out of wedlock is troubling to me hoffman199 idiot.

    • Posted By: muslimah4life @ 11/06/2008 1:31:56 PM

What about Sarah Palin daughter who is pregnant. She having a baby out of wedlock and it's sickening for a VP candidate to peach to everyone else about morals and your own daughter pop up pregnant. Get a life!

    • Posted By: joe118800 @ 11/06/2008 1:28:31 PM

I would have to believe that if you were one of those "lazy african americans " that you would have gotten off your "lazy" ass and voted too ? I am white , a 48 yr old male. Certainly I can understand that the African Americans have been (as a group ) pushed under and held under for their entire history in this country .I doubt that a single one of them volunteered to be shipped here and pushed into slavery. It was a caucasion from new jersy ( if I understand it correctly ) who started this grand idea of slavery ! Give em a brake for God sakes. If they fail as you predict then the people will elect someone else. If you could open your mind somewhat you woud see that America is now a diverse land and that the foolish blinded white man will be overcome by this diversity. NO ONE MADE YOU GOD ..For the sake of the children of this country and the world over......please close the book on racism....The American Indian had to and so can you...

    • Posted By: chancubed @ 11/06/2008 1:26:14 PM

Whatever you say mr wonkajim....... the fact remains that he's smarter, more intelligent and has achieved more than you will ever achieve in your lazy lifetime. He will be your president .. whether you like it or not. If you don't I suggest you go dig a hole and bury yourself because we don't need ppl like you.

    • Posted By: thinkb4uspeak @ 11/06/2008 1:25:32 PM

now here is some racism- ouch

  • Posted By: mmateo @ 11/06/2008 1:02:45 PM

ALL OF THE BLACKS ON HERE VOTED BLACK AND THATS THE ONLY REASON
MCAIN IS A HORRIBLE CHOICE AS WELL BUT AT LEAST HE SHOWS REPECT TO OUR COUNTRY
BY NOT RESPECTING THIS NATION OBAMA SPITS IN THE FACE OF ALL AMERICANS

    • Posted By: BlackRepublican1 @ 11/06/2008 1:31:16 PM

      TO mmateo,

Watch it your ignorance is showing. I am African American and I voted for McCain. Although since I am an American, I will honor and respect WHOEVER the sitting and President Elect. Remember, that when you blow a hole in the bottom of boat that we all go down together!!!

    • Posted By: indystacey @ 11/06/2008 1:07:24 PM

mmateo, more white people voted for Obama than voted for McCain. I was one of them. How do you explain that?

  • Posted By: KATALLEN @ 11/06/2008 1:30:22 PM

To mmateo - What a bunch of crap!!! On the Meet the Press web-site that have full transcripts of every show, and on the "suppposed" day you note this conversation took place, President-Elect Obama wasn't even a guest, VP Biden was. Just another "whack job:" trying to instill fear into gullible Americans when the ones they should really fear are people like mmateo and their vicious lies. Stop the lies!!
