To "joe the bummer", how you can fix your mouth (or fingers to type) a remark about O'bama being a liar is just another indication of someone with deep-seeded (albiet almost disguised in your faux "tolerance" blog) political sour grapes. Any little negative thing you can hold on to to justify to yourself your "reason" for not supporting PRESIDENT O'BAMA you will hold on to and try to pass on to others as if it gospel. As shown in the election results, more of us are quite informed about the many EVIDENCED years of lies, deceit, betrayal and abandonment that your buddy McCain represents. Shame on you.

For all the ones who post anything negative about our Next elected President Obama...if you thought you could do a better job, or had better ideas why didn't you run for President so we could see what you got?? Since you didn't run for President, and this is all you got is a bunch of negative stuff to say......JOIN IN THE CELEBRATION or SHUT UP! Oh...and by the way.....GROW UP.

Why are we Americans so worried about the RACE of our President? Aren't there other important things at the moment to be worried about than the race? America has lost its identity, the economic issue is big right now, so why are we WASTING TIME discussing Obama and his family? People need to get their heads straight and worry about getting America back to its proper place than worrying that the President is African American. Race should never be an issue amongst the United States. The slavery issue was all in the past and should not be looked back on. So stop with the "Black", "slavery", and "She needs better clothes" stupidity and get on with the important facts, Where will United States be in a couple of years?

If you look at the numbers from this election this Country is deeply divided. We need to come together. The question is can Obama governor from the center when he has always been left of center. is Linda Pelosi and Harry Reid going to be fair? Somehow I doubt it. But we have to keep the faith. There is too much on the line.

wow wow wow! that was sooooo full of crap chris5209. because of people that thinks the way you think the country and the whole world is so *** up. it was high time that we had a change! we deserved it and the rest of the world too. I'm sick and tired of wars, internventions, corruption, lies and liers just for the benefit of a few that think the way YOU think. the world hates USA all over... it must be for a reason don't you think?

As leader of our country and our First Lady, I hope and I pray that the Obama's do not lose the vision. I feel that what she says is from the her heart and who she is. When I read what she said about family values, about making the children a priority, making it to parent-teacher conferences - no matter what your job is, I just sat here and wept. As a nation, so many of our young families need this role model, not young families, but young parents. Not only do the Obama's have a strong sense of what is right for the country, but they have it right when it comes to morals and ethics. I can only pray that the next four years and being under a microscope will not change who they are. I hope they will not allow themselves to be taken away from the people who have come to love them and who look to them for guidance.

I am Canadian, but American politics involves the whole world. Congratulations to the American people for coming forward to make a change. God Bless America!!!
I think I speak for the majority of Canadians who believe Barak Obama will be the greatest President yet.

It's not important what anyone looks like. Obamas black, his wife needs a makeover. BAH! I can imagine what most of us look like right now at our computers. These two people have are taking on a huge mess of a country. In a couple of years when these two people are making a differance in our country,I hope all of you have time to rebut. Why is she being compared to Jackie Kennedy? This is better than Camelot. I like her better than Jackie Kennedy: she's had a normal childhood and is well-grounded. Jackie did those things for her children but she didn't live that way...

Wow. I know that the fear of the unknown can be hard and scary, but if you really have faith then you should know that you will be fine. We survived the last 8 years. Don't allow fear to rob you of your peace. I am not sure what would make you even think that Obama will hand over our country. He is a part of this country too. I too as an African American woman who was born and lived in USA all my life can finally say that I am proud to be an American. I was born here but never felt that it truly belonged to me too. Even though my forefathers and mothers built it. All I can say is that it is past time that America truly became the "United" States of America and leave out its creed. This country belongs to all of us, not just one group.
