The last lady to run up that kind of bill was actually Hillary Clinton. Laura Bush apparently mostly used ???Bush old money??? for her shopping needs, and was not reported to be such a drain - just under $750,000 in her husband???s first term, and even less the next. Chelsea Clinton???s expensive Sidwell Friends schooling cost the taxpayers a hefty $4 million during the Clinton years - excluding the cstomary donations and fundraising private schools do. Is Obama going to pass on $8 Million in private school costs to the Taxpayer for his two girls? Is that his idea of ???change????

Obama could be elected on the next election 2012 and Maccain had the chance to win because whoever got the Presidential position will have a tough job anyways!!! ! I'am not a Democrat or a Republican! I'am not a Hypocrite either!!! I like what is best for Society and for the future of the Children.I was born in another country. I only have a son because is what I could afford until I finish my studies....and then I will bare or give birth ( whatever is better) maybe to Two more kids !!!!!! absolutely not because to my knowledge he has never served. Do I trust him on the economy? at this point I will wait and see attitude. If I was still of military service age and you ask would I serve him? the answer is yes because I love this country and I bleed red, white, and blue.

It is time to lay down the party lines and realize that we are all in this baking oven together. The question is are we going to rise or fall? Well said. Polictics and people change, hopefully for the good. The ideals contained in the Constitution ,Bill of Rights, Pledge of Allegience etc. continue to inspire me and my family. They have always and will always inspire me. I have pride in the fact that I have a father, a brother, 3 uncles who were Navy, I have a brother who was Army I have a son who was a Marine and when he got out joined the Army Reserves. My family has served in peacetime and wartime. We have prayed our way through the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq. We have seen active duty in all of these, the latest was my Son's tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have been truly blessed because they all came home. I was saddened when I heard Obama and his wife do not belive in the Pledge of Allegince or Old Glory. I always tear up with the National Anthem. Regardless, I will support him because he is who our people chose. Remember this is God's ciountry and I truly believe we are guided.

As i read the postings on this site, i was amazed at the comments aimed at those of us who voted for John McCain. I will say upfront, that I'm pro-life and he was the only candidate running who was willing to stand up for the most innocent of all humanity and try to save their little lives. Mr. Obama would not do that, although, he says he wants to take care of all people who are considered less because of income or social standing. My question is: How can he do that, when he wont protect the unborn? Don't try to tell me that it isn't life. It was life when that sperm swam upstream and fertiized that egg. There had to be some form of life there for action to take place. Don't try to tell me that it isn't life when they pull that third trimester infant from the warm safe comfort of the womb and crush it's head before delivering it dead all in the name of personal choice. Women! keep your legs togetheer or use birth control, because in todays world of information you have no excuse for getting pregnant unexpectedly. Lest I forget the men, keep it zipped if you don't want to assume the responsibilities of a child. Don't kill the child because your to stupid to use protection or keep your own emotions and passions in check. I'm tired of hearing how it's your body, your choice. How about your responsibility. Meanwhile, until Mr. Obama proves to me that he's for the youngest and most innocent of life, I will have a hard time seeing where he wants to protect all Americans regardless of race, social standing, income, or any other adjective you wish to be described by.

I was lucky enough to spend Tuesday night in Grant Park. People of different colors made eye contact with each other. They exchanged knowing smiles. They cheered and clung to one another. It was the rarest moment of grace. We all knew that racism still existed outside the confines of Grant Park, but we also knew that a large portion of people of all races and creeds were now united in a way we haven't been for nearly half a century. We are a new army for equality and social justice and there is no way we are going to let the small minded bigots cleave us from each others arms ever again.
