Funny how Ahmadinejad and Obama secretly met in Hawaii recently when the Iranian pres was supposedly sick and wasnt seen for a few days and now I hear that Ahmadinejad is congratulating Obama, hmmm I wonder why. I don't like how this new administration is looking morally weak, to allow talks is one thing but I hope for the security of the WORLD that Iran is kept in check and not allowed to produce nuclear weapons. But of course that is inevitable. Isn't it odd that the Mayans predicted the end of the world (or at least the start of a new world order) sometime around December 2012 which is near the end of Obama's first and most likely his last term. I have no problem with Iran producing nuclear energy if it's just for energy purposes but the fact that they have basically evicted/ barred IAEA officials from nuclear labs (secret or not) tells me that they're hiding something that would be very damning to their claim of nuclear energy for production purposes only.

Or they could all get kidnapped and blindfolded again for 444 days. Anythings possible. Yet this destroys the assertions by those including Isikoff and Hosenball that the Bush administration was moving closer to war with the regime back in 2006 when they hysterically bought into Sy Hershs longwinded screed in the NEW YORKER that we would be ''at war with Iran by September[2006]''. I disdained their nonsense then[ably abetted by fellow scribblers Chris Dickey and Mike Hirsh],and I take a measure of comfort now that their rhetoric was based in illogic all along.[you guys really need to read your older NEWSWEAK archives].
The Mark and Mike Show would perform a better use of their time in explaining to us why the new Soviets are moving SS-26 ISKANDER missles up to the Polish border, and are now surrounding this country and the Czech Republic with radar jamming devices. Does Obama make a stand here or pull out? What other intentions are Medevyev and Putin harbouring and where does Iran fit in with these schemes?[if not ''clients''in the Middle East and Africa]?

Great article Mark and Michael! What a surprise that "Warmonger" Bush is trying to do something diplomatic at the end of his decrepit term as the worst president ever. It's a good step forward if they actually do it. They're trying to fluff up their tarnished legacy with this diplomatic move so Obama can't get credit for doing this when he gets in.

If people like HarleyisHere would calm down, maybe some useful diplomacy could get down. Whether it is by W. or Obama I don't care, as long as it is not run by the hysterics.
