Hopefully the discussion of setting the time table for an exit in 2011 becomes a reality. It's nice to see that we're turning over some of the responsiblity back over to Iraq.

I for one do not see the war in Iraq as a blunder. I see it as a perpetration put upon the American people as a blunder.

I tend to agree. The war, IMO, exists solely for the purpose of lining the pockets of Bush's owners via no-bid contracts.

The sooner the people who matters or decision makers in all countries understand that warand violence can not solve any problem, it is better for the mankind. Can anyone cite an example that war, invasion or violence could do it? Instead hatred and arrogance creeped in creating more complexities. As a member of the peace loving millions we expect the world leaders would sit together to usher in a new dawn.

As a point of order, it settled the hash of Hitler and Japan. So it does *occasionally* solve problems.

It is the duty of a soldier to obey the orders given to him. It is the duty of the rest of us to be held responsible for those orders.

Bingo. Just because a soldier volunteered, doesn't mean we have the right to waste his life in a pointless war.
