The GOP's governors wearily assess the 2008 fallout
Send your contribution to CREW - put as many repubs in jail as they can hold.
There seems to be ' A clash of democracies" going on , that between the The American type & the British
type, with the latter sort of projecting India as its spokesperson. Right now the British are left licking the American balls, defined & established by Lincoln. The reason seems quiet simple. The American system appears less Hypocritic.
Oh, that was a good one. You almost had me thinking you were serious, for a moment.
The GOP needs to find itself. It's a lost and faceless party that is slowly losing its identity and connection with mainstream Americans, mainly the 25-35 y.o. electorate. The GOP has failed to take a close look at ALL of America and build a national grassroots effort like the Obama-Biden campaign did so effectively to win the 2008 presidential election. The GOP did not grow beyond its caucasian base, and failed miserably with connecting with new voters, especially African-Americans, Hispanic Americans , and Arab-Americans. Using the internet effectively can help spread the word of your party, but eventually it is the party's political leader who sets the tone and who takes a losing party into a new defining direction. No Conservative cheerleader like Bay Buchanan, Leslie Sanchez, or right-wing boom box like Rush Limbaugh can re-define a party that's lost its face and sense of direction......Our President-elect Barack Obama will have the daunting task of having to overturn 8 years of US economic and foreign policy decline under Bush 43. Unfortunately, for the GOP, the American people are more unified than ever at fixing what's wrong with Washington DC, than they are at fixing a dysfunctional Republican party. Maybe there will be an interest in 8 or 10 years, only time will tell......God Bless America
For now, the political stage awaits our nation's incoming Democratic President Barack Obama and his majority party led Congress, as both America and the World eagerly look on with great anticipation.
The Republican Party has excluded so many people that many voters don't want anything to do with them no matter what good they may have to offer. When voters said we were sick of the mud-slinging, they just kept on doing it like we hadn't said anything. One of the biggest turn-offs is Rush Limbaugh and how he feeds the fears of people on the Christian right. His rhetoric reminds me of the Jim Jones murders in Jonestown. It is that kind of hatemongering that causes people to run to isolated sects and cults rather than living with and getting to know their neighbors who may look different and hold different world views from themselves. The Republican Party has feed the "temples of greed" and lined their own pockets on the backs of hard-working, middle class Americans. Their entire campaign catered only to their base and ignored the rest of the people in the nation. Until their attitudes change, and they start putting out some sound decision-making practices for the good of the whole country they're wasting their time. I actually agree with some of the Republican ideas, but their behavior drives me away from them as a voter.
You could not be further from right. In this election the Rep. party convinced by a few tried to appeal to the undecided voter. McCain was not a conservative and they all knew it. Many of us held our nose but some could not bring themselves to do so. In my area which is solid middle class we went for McCain not because of religion but because of tax policy. See we pay taxes! Unlike many of the new voters Obama brought to the poles. So someone who we know no matter what he says is going to raise taxes on the middle class is going to be difficult to pull the lever for. For the Dems the most important thing was WINNING!!! Most did not care who or how. Just Do What it Takes!! Win!! When those new voters realize they were used and then abused they won't be back in 2010. What you gonna do then?
"For the Dems the most important thing was WINNING!!! Most did not care who or how. Just Do What it Takes!! Win!! "
Sounds like W in 2004.
"When those new voters realize they were used and then abused they won't be back in 2010."
Your bitterness is palpable.
"varacefan": You are mistaken to believe: "McCain was not a conservative and they all knew it."
I started out a solid supporter of and vote for McCain. He could not, and did not, distinguish himself from Bush.
See my post of 8:07.
A 40 year republican
You're right, but unfortunately your post is way too smart for what these comments have degenerated down to. We're talking about who is more attractive. I hate that. Who cares?!!!!!!!
ALL I HEAR IS REPUBLICAN THIS, REPUBLICAN THAT!
WHAT!
DEMOCRATES DO NOT HAVE MORALS, NOT CONSERVATIVE DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD?GIVE ME A BREAK!!!REPUBLICANS HAD 8 HORIBLE YEARS WITH NO CONTROL! GW BUSH AND CRONIES SHOULD BE JAILED
AND TRIED FOR WAR CRIME AGAINST THE PEOPLE!REPUBLICANS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEM SELVES!!!
For 2012, how about a more moderate choice, like Christine Todd Whitman? She would be far more able to peel off independents, women, and fiscal conservatives. Imagine a Republican who could actually compete in the Northeast.
Naw. The GOP isn't about "moderate".
Democrate leave the Oval Office ,they keft with surplus economy ,When GOP takes Over and they leave bankrupt the Country with high debt . .....Americans are FED-UP .....GOP is HISTORY.
The Clinton surplus was a myth. It never happened.
http://www.craigsteiner.us/articles/16
Sorry Forty4, don't buy it. (Can't. Bush spent any credit we might have.) Doesn't look like anyone else does either. Learn your history.
But lets just put it aside for the moment. Shall we talk about the 800 BILLION dollar fiasco that is Bush's war in Iraq?
The numbers don't lie, they're right there. And you're trying to one-up Clinton's myth with the *800 billion fiasco."
Steiner? Well, gee, I could listen to a right wing nutjob, or I could just remember back a few years.
Sorry, Forty4. Revisionist history doesn't cut it, anymore.
We're waiting, mr. howl.
Convenient. Give us a credible link then, (like Forty did) instead of your continued childish bullsh!t nonsense.
You make Baby Jesus cry, when you lie like that.
wtf? It would be an extreme effort for you howl, but could you at try and make sense once in a while?
Let me explain it in simple terms: I called you a liar.
So I post a link with facts, and you call me a liar?
Couldn't dispute the truth so you come up with this little diddy in an attempt to misdirect huh? Its amusing if nothing else at least.
I think he is giving it all due respect.
"Braes" and "Doc": His prior posts elsewhere demonstrate you're right. Just check out his posts at the Grassroots article. He started out with the proposition that electing Obama was a racist act, jumped around some more 'til he asserted that the Dems caused the financial collapse based on an anonymous email. After saying he would respond to my pointing out all the lobbyist fees to Rick Davis, after I responded to his assertion, but then he disappeared. He's just an uninformed chicken blowhard.
It's not his fault. Rush didn't tell him what to say next.
And then some.
Why address a blatant lie? Revisionist history doesn't merit a straight answer; that would afford it legitimacy it doesn't deserve.
The Republican's problem is that they have only one principle that they are totally true to: do whatever enriches the wealthiest 1% of Americans, and forget everyone else except when election time comes--then lie about the opposition and shout "Abortion! Gays!"
We Democrats love Sarah Palin. If the GOP hangs their hat on her i 2012 we win again!
Is there any special area on her that you reserved for the hat rack?
"In 1929 F.D.R when on T.V. to calm American's fears about hte financial market" Joe Biden - For the uneducated There was no television and F.D.R. was not president. Why was this kept out of the media? Because it happened the same night McCain ditched Letterman and the fasciost media chose which story to emphasize
You are a genius. I heard this commnet by Biden in the media. Where did you hear about it? Give us a break!
Why was this kept out of the media? Because every photog and journalist was following around that empty headed Sarah Palin. She put on such a good show it was hard for anyone else to take the spotlight. She should give up politics and pursue acting. She's already doing an Oscar winning performance as a Governor. (Besides, no gaffe that Biden could make could ever come close to all the zingers Palin put out there in her brief stint in the public arena.)
"Because it happened the same night McCain ditched Letterman and the fasciost media chose which story to emphasize"
"Fascist media"?
You're a hoot.
facist media? you do realize facist is an extremely right ideal and they would cater to bashing the left side of the specturm than focusing on mccain
Instead of projecting "caribou barbie" as a rock star (whatever that means) the republican party should consider getting her educated first, especially in grammar and fundamental use of the English language. Never in the annals of public speaking have I listened to one so fraught in the proper use of words. Listening to this "person" attempting to answer an ordinary question is akin to asking someone where are they going and then being told where they're coming from. She has rendered the word coherence a most injustice quality. And worst yet is this VEILED play on religion, as though she has a corner on God. How desperately she needs to LEARN, God DOES NOT HAVE ANY FAVORITES, particularly as it relates to homo sapiens. Get a grip, palin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why is it that the only ones who still talk about Palin are democrats? I believe it is an infatuation. After all , most liberal chicks are butt ugly. I believe that the reason that democrats can't let Sarah go is that they have a guilt about their vote. I mean they won the election. But, they can;t let Sarah go.
Well, that's because Bible Spice is still out there flapping her gums, in the mistaken belief than anyone is taking her seriously.
Of course, it's her right to do so, just as it is our right to mock her mercilessly.
Doc,,,,,,love your posts, keep up the good work, wish i could say what i have to say as simply as you do. Larry, get over it, she's married and besides she still needs to finish school.
Larry, your arguement is as feeble as your pathetic party of hate. I thought it was Greta on Fox that had a 2 night special with Palin as her guest this week. Noone is obsessed with her. We just haven't stopped laughing at her or you yet.
Bass, my brother, you are calling me a person of hate. Re-read your message. That was the pure definitiion of hate. I figured you being a Obama guy and all would jump into the bi-partisan love machine and want to embrace me. Did't your messiah say there would be change and he would make us all one America.
Then why are you being so hateful. The answer is you are either very immature and don't know how to win with grace. . . . or,you are feeling guilty. A good athlete congratulates the looser. Unless he is guilt yof something.
PS i am independent, Voted for six democrats. I don't have a party. If we hadn't supported your lame candiate, he wouldn't have got elected. I am just observing very bad mannaers.
"I figured you being a Obama guy and all would jump into the bi-partisan love machine and want to embrace me."
Apparently, you have us confused with the liberals of the 60s. Hippies, though, are pretty much extinct, no matter what Rush told you. We aren't here to "embrace" you, we're here to reverse all of Bush's garbage and get this country back on track. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.
Your right about one thing,(for once) it's time to flush Palin so she can be amongst her peers.
The Confederate states and right-wing fanatics are no doubt upset at the 2008 Presidential Election result where the majority of the citizens of this fine country elected a Democratic African-American. This is the true American Dream that our veterans fought for us to have, especially the vets who gave their lives fighting for FREEDOM for ALL of us. Now with peace and hope and honesty, our new administration has alot of repair work to do. Here's wishing the confederates and fanatics embrace this wonderful time, look beyond all boundaries, and join the American team.
Pathetic are the Right-Wing Fanatics who tried to mis-lead and intimidate college students who were trying to vote. That is NOT how a democratic society works. Right-Wing Fanatics have no place in this country.
As an EX-Republican, my advice to the GOP's is to NOT cater to the Radical-Fanatic Right-Wingers. I used to listen to Limbaugh but fortunately I woke up - I do NOT listen to that hateful idiot anymore.
The four worst financial disasters of the last 100 years have come at the end of Republican administrations that have aggressively promoted deregulation in the financial markets.
The Great Depression starting in 1929 came during the third consecutive Republican term, the October 1987 stock market crash and the Savings and Loan disaster surfaced in the second Reagan term and the current financial market disaster in Bush???s second term.
One more Republican administration should reverse the flow of job seekers from Mexico into the US. I can just see the Mexican drug dealers in their guard towers shooting the American wetbacks seeking low paying jobs in Mexico as they cross the Rio Grande.
My son likes to theorize that "there is a bit of truth in everything". These exchanges support that theory. Kleburn identifies three financial crises which occured during Republican administrations, but omits the Jimmy Carter "stagflation" disaster and assumes that the acting President was the controlling factor for their occurence. Brydges and Doc Howl correctly state that there was recession at the end of the Clinton and start of the Bush administration. Both blame the party other than their choice while the overwhelming factor was collapse of dot.com which neither could have prevented. Jane credits Bill Clinton for achieving a budget surplus while he fell into a revenue boom courtesy of the dot.com explosion and he had fiscal responsibility forced on him by a Republican congress. On the positive side, Ronald Regan did lead the nation out of the Jimmy Carter economic demise and Bush did likewise for recovery from the dot.com implosion. On the negative, both failed to control spending to equal or less than receipts thus the increase in national debt.. Democrat and Republican congresses both behaved irresponsibly.
The current financial crisis occurred during Bush's second term, but the root causes are legislative and regulatory actions prior to his administration. It was government that ordered Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae to issue the sub prime and unsecured mortgages and congress in 2005 who refused to take corrective action when the unstable condition was detected. Neither party should point fingers because both are responsible.
Please, no one is intentionally trying to mislead anyone. We are just people who see things as we want them to be (note that I include myself in that assessment). Ultimately, we will put this behind us and move forward. The sooner the better.
2gofer, while I'm not sure I agree completely with all of that, I would have to say you are pretty right on. Well done.
Thanks Jane, I have proven my fallability on numerous occasions. As far as agreement on all issues, when we concur on everything one of us is not needed.
Get your facts straight before people reading this believe you. Clinton's last term put this economy into a deep recession that Bush inherited. And good god Jimmy Carter! Truth be told the president has little control over the economy anyway, it's the congress that has the power. Thanks for proving my point about how little the average Amercan voter knows
"Get your facts straight before people reading this believe you. Clinton's last term put this economy into a deep recession that Bush inherited. "
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
thanks again for proving my point
What point? You lied. There was no point.
clintons last term also had to deal with a republican controlled congress that voted for full deregulaton of the power, and bank industries, its evident that you yourself dont know much about what deregulation can do to an economy, kleburn was right the great depression was caused by the lack of oversight by the coolidge and hoover administration.
How do you explain the mess that Jimmy Carter provided us with? Democrats like to do alot of finger pointing it seems to me. More government isn't the solution... its the problem. These people are stealing your money or at the very least spending it in an irresponsible manner and you want to pretend that they have your best interests at heart? What about the free trade agreements that sent millions of manufacturing jobs over seas had the best interests of the American people? You can thank Clinton for that one.
Cowardly blowhard "Blackcourt": So maybe we should mimic your kneejerk and blame his failings on the republicans?
If you are not just a cowardly, lying blowhard, you will keep your promise and post what you said you would at the Grassroots article.
A 40 years repuclican who detests ignorant, cowardly, lying blowhards
so we can blame the current crisis on the Democratic congress or is scapegoating is only for liberals
Get your own facts straight. Can you say "budget surplus" at the end of Clinton's 2nd term? Can you say "massive deficit" now that Bush is leaving office?
It is amazing to me how Repubs like to rewrite political history to fit into their own warped agenda.
Pitiful. A responsible person takes accountability for their actions rather than passing the blame to scapegoats.
Now that Bush is going, Crawford Texas will finally get its village idiot back. I hope they missed him.
What color is the sky in your world. Educate yourself, a budget surplus means nothing to people out of work. That was probably the stupidist thing I heard yet today, and these are Newsweek readers which says alot
What does a budget surplus at the end of Clinton's term have to do with unemployment today? Have you heard that unemployment is at its highest rates since Bush took office? And you're calling me stupid???
"Janeinthisworld": Brydes' ignorance and stupidity are demonstrated by all his posts. Him calling you stupid is just him projecting his own deficiencies onto you. It's all he has.
"Brydges": So the budget surplus drove people out of work? How does that relate to the unemployment figures over the last 8 years?
The GOP needs to try and come up with something other than Palin. I am a life long republican and my vote went to Obama, for the main reason it was a vote against Palin. The GOP should adopt a plan like the first republican take over in congress. Here is one idea: Any child that graduates from high school should recieve a four year education/work visa if they are not a legal resident or citizen already. Provided that student has no prior violent crime convictions or gang related convictions. It's just a start, but they need something to show they are concerned about America's furture.
What about an education for the children who are born American citizens? They aren't given anything... they have to earn it. Thats the problem with the left... they just want to be given everything. Whatever happened to earning it? Or working considered un-American now? Look at our country right now... all you hear is about is more people expecting to get a hand out because they couldn't run their business properly or pay their mortgage responsibly. Too bad we don't hold anyone responsible for their own actions any more.
"What about an education for the children who are born American citizens?"
Wait. There's no schools where you live?
Any child in America for what ever reason and no fault of their own should be given the chance to succeed, no one is giving them anything they have to work for their high school diploma. If you do not understand whats coming you need to look at stats for 2050. The more education and dedication to country we can instill into students now, the better the tax base and society will be tomorrow.
Wow - wouldn't McCain/Palin and followers call you a socialist for that idea! I think the fact that an individual who calls himself republican is seriously raising such an idea illustrates how out of touch the party operation is even with its own constituents, never mind the rest of the country.
Listening to people like Jindal and Pawlenty, the republican party has a chance to rebuild. Listening to Palin, however, will cause the party to implode. And contrary to popular opinion, an imploded republican party does not bode well for our future.
As a life-long democrat, I prefer a vibrant republican party - it will keep the democrats sharp and on their toes, which is what we as a nation need to stay relevant on the larger world stage. Competition is one of our basic American principles for a reason.
A republican party with Palin trying to lead only reinforces incompetence - in both parties.
You worry about your party and we will worry about ours. Our man this time was approved by the Dems and we see where that got us. The fact that you guys don't like Palin makes me think she is worth a second look!
Absolutely. You guys should run further right in 2012. Go WAY the hell out to the right wing. That will bring the voters in droves. Honest.
Florida Gov. Crist is a far more likely prospect for being the GOP standard bearer in 2012 than Palin (SarahSixPack.com). Her flame will burn out in the coming months as hard right pundits and pols recognize that she simply cannot be sold to the broad electorate -- she's too dim witted and unpolished, and she's tainted by this last campaign. However, it will still be uphill for any GOP???er trying to knock off an incumbent Obama (ObamaAgain2012.com!)
Lets see how Obama handles the reigns of leadership before painting this pretty picture shall we? Its all in the Democrats hands now. They can't place any blame at all on the GOP after this election. The public will get to see what they are all about and if Carter and Clinto have taught us anything, we won't like what we get.
Yeah, right and how many billion dollars was the SURPLUS that we had after Clinton. No, no one liked that at all. Get your facts straight.
You might want to do your math over again... it might look something like this when applied correctly. http://www.craigsteiner.us/articles/16
The other thing you might want to consider about the Clinton administration, their signing of numerous free trade agreements can be directly attributed to the loss of millions of manufacturing jobs in this country.
Well, of course Blackcourt79, we should all just shut up and listen to another conservative, out of touch, closed minded Republican. That would just solve all our problems, wouldn't it.
Yes we should all believe what Steiner says about the 'mythic' surplus and leave it at that.
What makes me laugh is that, having lost, the right expects us to continue following their failed policies.
Yeah...NAFTA. Signed by Clinton, true. Drafted and pushed by Bush sr.
But that part doesn't count, right?
If the D's govern from the middle and learn from mistakes of the past, the GOP is in deep doo doo.
If they play to the far left, who really have nowhere to go, just as the far right has nowhere to go... They will lose the middle fast. Neither the radicals nor reactionaries are appealing.
Hope and Change don't put food on the table. Ask any economist about Obamanomics. Talk about being in touch when your standing in the unemployment line
Wait. 240,000 Americans were put out of work in October.
Your party had its chance, and it failed.
simple answer Democratic Congress
So your argument is that all of our problems' root causes are no older than January of 2006?
Am I reading you right?
Wrong answer brydges. Ecomonomies tanking under deregulation directed by Repubs is what did that. Where have you been?
people are already standing in unemployment lines where have you been? and whos in office? a republican.... neither party is the one answer, both make mistakes, some big some small, but both sides are guilty in this mess of an economy, the war, everything...
hope and change dont put food on the table true enough, but hope and change can drive people to do what it takes to put food on the table and stay out of unemployment lines.
and if you are standing in an unemployment line get out of it, go look for a job. they are out there, but people arent willing to give up the pay they were used to (or they are scared to look stupid working at a retail store or mcdonalds) to work a couple of part time jobs to make up the difference. people have gotten lazy and want handouts... plus 75% of these layoffs and firings have happened in the corporate and factory divisions of business...there is work out there, people just have to get off they're ass, realize that hard times require hard work even if it means working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet you better do what you have to do. thats american... when the going gets tough, the tough get going... what happened to that american mentality?
Like it or not Obama is most likely a one term president. The novelty of his rhetoric and his race will have worn off in four years, and his Black base isn't coming out to vote again because their Obama prize isn't coming in the mail. If he moves closer to the middle he might be able to sway more voters, but the left wing is to vindictive to allow him to get away with that. So no matter how patriotic or intelligent he might be, his own party has handicapped him
"Like it or not Obama is most likely a one term president. The novelty of his rhetoric and his race will have worn off in four years, and his Black base isn't coming out to vote again because their Obama prize isn't coming in the mail. "
So it is your opinion that Black people only vote because they think they'll get a check? Naw, that was White people, in 2000.
You're a funny little man.
When you are at the bottom, the only way to go is up. If Obama accomplishes only two 2 of the following things, he will be seen as a huge success and will be reelected:
Withdrawl from Iraq
Stablize Afghanistann
Catch Bin Laden
Stablize economy
Implement Universal health care.
Calm relations with Iran
Calm relations with Cuba
Calm relations with Venezuela
Calm relations with Russia
Create a couple million green jobs, or just jobs for that matter.
Not fumble response to natural disaster, ie. Katrina.
Rebuild infrastructure
etc., ect...
Basically, things are so bad that all he has to do is not make them worse and we'll be looking at an 8 year presidency. The simple fact that he will be our president in two months has already improved our stance as a world leader. He'd have to try pretty hard not to get reelected. Try again.
That is a cutelist. Healthcare almost lost Clinton his presidency. How about healthcare that can be paid for. The calm relations are out the door and meaningless to boot. I guess if Obama kisses butt enough. Putin is certainly having fun with Obama. Bush's response to the Florida stroms or the california fires were very good. It was the moronic Democratic gov and mayor that screwed the pooch in Nawlins.
If you want to build infrastructure and drive alternative energy, here;'s tip, Make government more efficient by cutting costs. When gov suck s45 cents out of every dollar, it slows the process. And, science tells us that alternative sources of energy will not be cost effective for 15-25 years, Ya; think clean coal and natural gas may be an alternative that we can use right now. Nope, Obama doesn't want to drill in our back yards. Alternative energy can only be created by the private sector. And, only if one incent sthem. Remember that oil companies pay highest tax rate of any industry. But, does Barck want to incent? Nope. Barack wants to naitonalize the indusity. Barack hasn't chance in hell. He is dumb as a stone regarding monetary and fiscal poiicy. Another friggin' Keynsian.
But, if we all just hope real hard. maybe tinkerbelle will also show up. The pipe dream chickens will come home to roost. And, the fault is on the hands of those that voted out of emotions like hate and love. Obama is empty. He slections of Clintons cabinet is just an example.
As I told your your friend, some of these thing will actually work themselves out, and whether or not Obama deserves credit when they happen, he'll get the credit. Throw in a few things that he most likely will be responsible for, and voila, it's a done deal. As for my "cute list", well, I hope for your sake that you loosen the straps on your "special" helmet, because it's clearly affecting your thought, or lack therof...
IMO the bottom line is that Obama is successful if he impacts the wealth effect. If people feel secure with thier jobs, if their 401K are up, and if they see a lot of people at the store, Obama will get re-elected.
The rest of the stuff is meaningless if he can't get this economy straightened out.
Just keep dreaming larry. The GOP will be lucky if they beat out the Independent party in 2012.
you forgot about walking on water
...and I'm immature?
Some of these thing will actually work themselves out, and whether or not Obama deserves credit when they happen, he'll get the credit. Throw in a few things that he most likely will be responsible for, and voila, it's a done deal.
Pull your head out, the view is better out here....
The GOP thinks that the driving issue that caused them two election losses was a lack of fiscal responsibility??!! These guys are getting further and further into denial. It was the neo-conservative agenda and way of doing business. It was the piss-on-their-legs-and-tell-'em-it's-raining attitude towards the American people. It was the lying. It was the smug, incompotent arrogance. It was the ignorance. It was the us and them rhetoric. It was the go it alone, unilateral foreign policy. It was the thumbing of the nose at international cooperation and international institutions. It was the fear mongering and hate.
The Grand ol' Party better address those issues first or else, even if they get back to fiscal responsibility, they will still be just the Same ol' Party with the same old politics.
Finally some one that makes some sense. It was the smugness that cost Bush his popularity. Once again it's not about politics it's about making people feel special. These are the times we live in -
Stupid = learning disability
bad behavior = ADHD
Poor = Underprivileged
Shame on Bush for not holding everyone's hand and telling them their special, Stuart Smalley in the Senate should help
People don't need to feel special or have someone hold their hand. What they need is to feel included and respected. The GOP has turned its back on everyone that disagreed with their narrow, idealistic world view. This is what alienated people. When someone shows you evidence of something and he is ignored simply because his evidence doesn't fit your preconcieved notions - that pisses people off. It's called arrogance and it results in stupid decisions and a lot of angry I-told-you-so's. Bush's GOP has been notorious for it and these last two elections are the result.
The President shouldn't have to make up for the fact your mommy didn't breast feed you or whtever you tell your shrink. The continued sisification of Americans is the problem with this country
Keep up the hyperbole. You should use it in 2012. No, really.
Talk about a sissy. You go straight to name calling like a childish little brat hiding behind the internet. I bet you would never say that to my face. Why don't you stay on topic? Are you out of arguments?
Look dude, if you tell me that it's black when I know that it's white - you are the a$$hole not me. Bush and his neocons have carried on this way for 8 years and that is why the Republicans lost...twice. It has nothing to do with the sissification of America. It has everything to do with punks like you who should know when shut the f up and let people with expertise and knowledge take a turn at bat. It's people like you who have been running this country into the ground while ignoring all the facts and refusing to integrate all the data at their feet just because they can't come to grips with what it means. Punks like you who can't admit when they're wrong and would rather plow stubbornly ahead, taking the country with them.
then maybe you should stop being a sissy whiner and get over the fact that the dems won this round. your just as much a part of the problem as anyone else. get over yourself please.
" Once again it's not about politics it's about making people feel special."
Who wants to feel special? I just don't like it when someone pisses down my neck and tells me it's raining.
