There seems to be ' A clash of democracies" going on , that between the The American type & the British
type, with the latter sort of projecting India as its spokesperson. Right now the British are left licking the American balls, defined & established by Lincoln. The reason seems quiet simple. The American system appears less Hypocritic.

For 2012, how about a more moderate choice, like Christine Todd Whitman? She would be far more able to peel off independents, women, and fiscal conservatives. Imagine a Republican who could actually compete in the Northeast.

Democrate leave the Oval Office ,they keft with surplus economy ,When GOP takes Over and they leave bankrupt the Country with high debt . .....Americans are FED-UP .....GOP is HISTORY.

Instead of projecting "caribou barbie" as a rock star (whatever that means) the republican party should consider getting her educated first, especially in grammar and fundamental use of the English language. Never in the annals of public speaking have I listened to one so fraught in the proper use of words. Listening to this "person" attempting to answer an ordinary question is akin to asking someone where are they going and then being told where they're coming from. She has rendered the word coherence a most injustice quality. And worst yet is this VEILED play on religion, as though she has a corner on God. How desperately she needs to LEARN, God DOES NOT HAVE ANY FAVORITES, particularly as it relates to homo sapiens. Get a grip, palin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The four worst financial disasters of the last 100 years have come at the end of Republican administrations that have aggressively promoted deregulation in the financial markets.

The Great Depression starting in 1929 came during the third consecutive Republican term, the October 1987 stock market crash and the Savings and Loan disaster surfaced in the second Reagan term and the current financial market disaster in Bush???s second term.

One more Republican administration should reverse the flow of job seekers from Mexico into the US. I can just see the Mexican drug dealers in their guard towers shooting the American wetbacks seeking low paying jobs in Mexico as they cross the Rio Grande.

The GOP needs to try and come up with something other than Palin. I am a life long republican and my vote went to Obama, for the main reason it was a vote against Palin. The GOP should adopt a plan like the first republican take over in congress. Here is one idea: Any child that graduates from high school should recieve a four year education/work visa if they are not a legal resident or citizen already. Provided that student has no prior violent crime convictions or gang related convictions. It's just a start, but they need something to show they are concerned about America's furture.

Listening to people like Jindal and Pawlenty, the republican party has a chance to rebuild. Listening to Palin, however, will cause the party to implode. And contrary to popular opinion, an imploded republican party does not bode well for our future.

As a life-long democrat, I prefer a vibrant republican party - it will keep the democrats sharp and on their toes, which is what we as a nation need to stay relevant on the larger world stage. Competition is one of our basic American principles for a reason.

A republican party with Palin trying to lead only reinforces incompetence - in both parties.

Florida Gov. Crist is a far more likely prospect for being the GOP standard bearer in 2012 than Palin (SarahSixPack.com). Her flame will burn out in the coming months as hard right pundits and pols recognize that she simply cannot be sold to the broad electorate -- she's too dim witted and unpolished, and she's tainted by this last campaign. However, it will still be uphill for any GOP???er trying to knock off an incumbent Obama (ObamaAgain2012.com!)

Like it or not Obama is most likely a one term president. The novelty of his rhetoric and his race will have worn off in four years, and his Black base isn't coming out to vote again because their Obama prize isn't coming in the mail. If he moves closer to the middle he might be able to sway more voters, but the left wing is to vindictive to allow him to get away with that. So no matter how patriotic or intelligent he might be, his own party has handicapped him

The GOP thinks that the driving issue that caused them two election losses was a lack of fiscal responsibility??!! These guys are getting further and further into denial. It was the neo-conservative agenda and way of doing business. It was the piss-on-their-legs-and-tell-'em-it's-raining attitude towards the American people. It was the lying. It was the smug, incompotent arrogance. It was the ignorance. It was the us and them rhetoric. It was the go it alone, unilateral foreign policy. It was the thumbing of the nose at international cooperation and international institutions. It was the fear mongering and hate.

The Grand ol' Party better address those issues first or else, even if they get back to fiscal responsibility, they will still be just the Same ol' Party with the same old politics.
