Perhaps along with some pentecostal evangelical hypocrite Sunday Christan BS the madam Governor can provide B. Jobs to the rest of these conservative republicans with their perverse ideology of inequality and rights only of their kind. One can hardly believe that any body is going to buy her BS about god opening doors and the rest of the BS this know nothing mata hari is preaching. McCain beside being too old, a fake war hero with four bouts of cancer, one foot in the grave lost the election because the GOP hierarchy rejected the Palin BS. The voters saw through her BS.

Care to be a little more derogatory... divisive politics of this nature is the biggest problem with our country. To much finger pointing while the crooks stuff their pockets full of our money.

The answer for the GOP is to take back the media. Most amercians don't vote based on their own research of a canidate, they vote based on what TV personalites say. They need to understand that people aren't as smart as they give them credit, they don't care about policies as long as you make them feel special. Obama's campagin new that, and that's why he won.

Do some research and you will note that most of the big name newspapers and media outlets ARE owned by the GOP or its affiliates, like Fox News, the WSJ, etc which are managed by Roger Ailes, a hard core right wing propagandist.

The problem with the media is that you can shove only so much BS down their throats before they gag, as opposed to just plain regurgitating the BS.

i think obama won because of many other more important things that happened, but this is a part of it, however small...

"Most amercians don't vote based on their own research of a canidate, they vote based on what TV personalites say."

You're so much SMARTER than those dumbasses, right? Because only people who agree with you can possibly have formed their own opinion, as we all know.

      LOL.

If I expressed the degree of disdain I feel towards that woman, I'm sure I'd be breaking some kind of law...

If the Repubs want to recover, the first thing they should do is hide Sarah Palin somewhere. I'm really tired of listening to her babble in all the "exclusive" interviews she's been doing since the election. Given the way the media is flocking around her, it's almost like she won the election. It's almost like I missed something in civics class and they actually run elections like golf: the one with the lowest score wins.

My main problem with the republican party, especially the far right, is the way they always associate themselves as the ones with "real values" and "the real Americans," etc. That is a huge turn off for me. It seems the party is not all-inclusive. They divide us into groups. Most Americans have good morals and good values and love their country. This method of running a campaign did not work for them this year. Obama's message was all-inclusive. He did not use character assassination. He did not use dividing words. He spoke to us all as a single group of concerned Americans.

Oh, queencersei, I couldn't agree with you more! You really nailed it concerning Sarah Palin! And yes, the GOP should become more inclusive, but I believe you, me and so many others just don't believe that will happen without the tight right screaming and kicking all the way. You would think that the extreme arm of the GOP would smarten up a bit and realize they need to come to a more middle ground. I guess it's just not their nature. And steadfastly insisting Sarah Palin is the answer just scares me!

I think Sarah Palin represents the worst aspects of what the Republican party has become. Willfully ignorant, mean-spirited and radically socially conservative. With a fair amount of hypocrisy mixed in. It's no wonder the majority of Americans have been turned off by this. The question is will the GOP take a hard look at itself, it's policies and exclusionary attitudes and become a more middle ground party. Or will it go the way of Palin, wrapping iself in it's failed policies? Eventually to survive they will have to become more inclusive. Will they realize this sooner or wait until later?

What a circle-jerk. The Republicans have cancer, bad - Palin-like, narrow-minded ideology is the current effort trying to be a voice in a vacuum of no substance and old 60's ideas that has shown itself dead. They'll come away from their meeting with the same disillusioned mindset that they are representing the good in society - look again and try reality out for size.

it really is too bad that they have such a tarnished name...the values the GOP says they represent are great values and ethics, but they talk the talk and havent walked the walk in some time...i hope for a conservative government, i.e. staying out of war and being fiscally responsible among other things. i voted for obama based largely on how he will put together the people in his cabinet and how he will deal with agressive nations. that alone sparks promise to me when someone says, "lets talk" instead of, "i have these bombs here and if you dont comply we will drop them all over you, because my gut told me so...". not very conservative. 10 billion dollars a month on a shameful illegal war (that most of the world doesnt agree with) is not conservative. bailing out massively wealthy private sector companies is not conservative. stimulus checks are not conservative, not listening to the world community isnt conservative, and pandering to the religious right wing for votes and then turning around when in office and not coming through with the promises is not conservative....in my opinion. i like to think that im a conservative liberal, but i see the road much clearer now that obama is in office. i know he will put together a non partisan cabinet filled with moderates, republicans, liberals, and democrats.

the only way to come up with the best solution is to have the top minds from all different areas to come together and hash out issues. something bush severely lacked, and something i really saw mccain lacking in the future. the GOP dealt itself a pretty bad blow over the last few years, but maybe from the ashes a new party vision will arise, or possibly another viable legitimate party will rise because the 2 party system isnt doing it for me.

The GOP got greedy and forgot the people that put them in office. GOP is the party of old people with old ideas.

They have outdated ideas in a new world. Palin has galvanized the Democrats and Independents with her outrageous speeches and lack of knowledge on history or just about anything she has said.

All the GOP is good for is spending money they borrow leaving our children and grandchildren with a huge National Debt
