He will solve this problem like every other Democratic President. He will throw a bunch of money at it and some in to a few friends pockets and blame the Republicans for not making anyone accountable, just like the Fannie and Freddie mess. Would someone please tell America who is being held accountable for the handing out of this $700 billion!!!

Superman? I think not. For a socialist to try and rescue capitalism, that should be a pretty nifty trick. Obama is lucky to have the media to act as his constant apologist. Savior? Give us a freaking break.

The best way for Obama to save capitalism is to keep his hands off

Barack Obama is not my savior. He cannot save capitalism (of which I am not sure if he believes in it in the first place). I already have a savior. Jesus said more about money and matieral things more than he talked about anything else. The tanking of the economy is caused by human failure, but it is a spiritual matter. Don't worry, I will not give a sermon here.
If President elect Obama is to help, he must believe that capitalism is our best (but certainly not perfect)system for finances. He must drop most of his economic promises (Raising minimum wage to $9.50 per hour, raising capital gains tax etc.) in order to help the economy.

Jesus ???!!!! Are you kidding me. Why in the name of all that is Holy are people so fanatical that they have to bring up Jesus everytime any sort of subject comes up that it can be retrofitted into. This is if anything one major part of the lunacy going on in this country. Accountability. God or Jesus may forgive you if you spend less educating yourself to purchase a 500k home than the endless hours researching your 20k car - but I wont forgive you. I say people reap what they soe and if out of the kindness of my heart I wish to give them a helping hand then so be it. Why should I be punished for the 6 months of research I did buying my house so that someone who spent 20 minutes gets a break. I say NO WAY. Capitalism if it did exist is nothing more than a fantasy now. Thanks parents. You taught my 30 something generation a lot of lessons. Namely dont worry about being accountable - someone who was smarter will suffer for you.

Allegory is not one of the 7 deadly sins. Relax a little.

This is rediculous. The Socialist FDR saved Capitalism??????!!!! Are you kidding me. WWII saved capitalism - at least in this country. But only to an extent. Free trade is for corporations not the common man. The common man must create a socialist entity like a corporation and share-the-wealth so-to-speak to have any kind of taste of capitalism. The rest of have table scraps of free trade that is limited by lawyers and political brick walls setup to very much discourage the practice. We are living a pipe dream we feel we have any true capitalism for the common man. Want to save capitalism - then we will HAVE to be ok with not everyone being absolute equals. Everything is equal.... But oh no.... can't have that. What bunch of crud this whole subject is by a bunch of nannys debating nothing more than illusionist theories and false truth.

Yep. If he hadn't instituted the TVA, WPA, etc, there would have been widespread revolt.

Obama blamed the recent market fallout on ???eight years of failed policy??? and said our economy is in the worst shape since the Great Depression. He???s been saying this now for a number of weeks, hoping you won???t realize that really, we???re in the worst shape since the Carter administration. Let's play guess that party.
