    Wow, people are already trying to have that extra baby so the welfare check will be even bigger - I have to say though, in all honesty I feel Obama has bent over every American so of course we know what happens next.

    Out of all the sickeningly lame articles published since the election,and they number in the thousands by now,this has to be the lamest by far.Newsweek is like one of those fan magazines for the high school musical kids except for Obama.

    Interesting. Now who could possibly come up with a stupid idea that a president who is completely FOR abortion and FOR stem cell research using embryos could possibly increase the amount of babies! You've GOT to be kidding yourselves...it's just another way of justifying the unbelievable immorality in our society...a society of people who have been brainwashed to believe that cells multiplying in a human is not life, therefore not murder. It is a selfish society who wants to prolong their own lives, rather than allow a new life live at all. Don't count the pregnancies that last...we've had a boom for years...unfortunately those booming babies were snuffed out.

      The next time you start bashing abortion, I suggest you do some more research about countries that have prohibited. I think you'll find some interesting information regarding increased amounts of abandoned babies and lack of proper parenting and child development. If you wanna banish abortion, tell me how you plan on making sure all these abandoned/unwanted children live healthy successful lives while still maintaining capitalism in the US.

    Obama is only going to be president for four years. A baby will carry that name for his whole life. It would be better to give the baby a name that is relevant to the family having the baby. Of course if a person is an Arab or is Black then Barack might be a very popular choice since those are the cultures where the name most often appears.

    I'll bet a lot of those babies will be named Obama! Back in the 1930's a lot of kids in Germany were named Adolph too. By the way, the current economic crisis was caused entirely by the Democrats (do some research) and now that you people put the kids in control of the candy store, it's only going to get worse!

    I think you missed the point of this article entirely. It has nothing to do with the economy or who's to blame for what. One sentence defines what it is trying to convey.....

    Wow, talk about clueless! The guy hasn't even stepped a foot in the door of the whitehouse and we're talking baby boom? Get real. This article just goes to show the blindness of the Left. As if changing a president is going to help the economy, stop terrorists from blowing us up, and make everything perfect. The euphoria is going to fade rapidly when people realize that ol' G.W. isn't responsible for EVERY problem we face. We're in the faint beginnings of a long recession or even possible depression. Chrysler/Dodge is dead and GM is facing the same circumstances and you're talking baby boom? I'm glad Obama is the future but to really think he's going to change the situation we're in is mind boggling absurd. Wake up America!
