" This article just goes to show the blindness of the Left.

Unless your argument is that Newsweek speaks for every person left of center. Is that your argument?

Not every person just most of the short sided morons who blamed Bush for all of the problems we face. Especially concerning the economy, if people want to point a finger at someone, point it at the guy that admitted he screwed up when the dot com bubble popped and the mortgage crisis. Alan Greenspan. Let's just be real here that's all I'm saying. A baby boom because of the new president? Please, it just goes to show how blinded and irrational the media and the left are in general....

I am certain you will all give Obama a fair assessment at the end of his presidency, right?

absolutely! I'm glad we have Obama as president, I believe he's a much finer candidate than McCain. But all this foolishness by the media and the left as if all the problems we face were due to having Bush or a Republican in office is nonsense. Let's face the facts here, the house was controlled by the left and their approval rating was half of that of the president. Obama has some stiff problems to face, and before we start counting the stars we have a lot of work to do. All this optimism is fine but reality is around the corner. We may see the downfall of Chrysler/Dodge and GM and this is just the begining of a truly uncertain future. Let's temper this optimism with some reality. And all the hate on this board is aimed at the media and the left pretending all the problems will vanish because we elected "the first multi racial candidate" It is impressive and speaks volumes of the American people. But our problems are not going to magically disapear because of it.

If he's done a fair job, yes. The much hated and maligned Bush was reelected, right....

  • Posted By: girlfromak2 @ 11/15/2008 2:19:26 AM

Well, they have all three branches of the government and therefore absolute power! So they will have no resistance in getting all their agendas passed for at least two years... How much damage can occur in that time?

How does a retirement plan and "sleeping all day" relate to the potential spark in a baby boom? Go grumble elsewhere. You know, personally I'm fed up with people bitching and moaning about the way life is treating them. This is a new day, a time in which we must first empower ourselves to make Obama's administration and message effective. Instead of complaining, get off your a$$ and contribute to making a difference in what is not fair in life. That's the only way a change will come about. One man cannot change the world, but he can inspire those around him to do so.

    • Posted By: littleabige @ 11/15/2008 1:39:32 AM

IMO, there is nothing inspirational about Obama. The only thing that comes out of his mouth is a bunch of sickening diarrhea.

Sweetheart, I have been a volunteer all my life. I have a very good business. I pay both the employee and the employer side of the taxes. I have not seen where the lives of the people I served in the volunteer areas change. Where is the change going to come from if they do not use the help we offer to get them successful>>>So I am grumbling because at the end of my working years, I would like to get a break for the tired faithfully working bones.

Now that the messiah has been elected I feel that I can finally get peace. I am going to quit my job, go on welfare and have a few more kids and stay home, why work. I thank all of the Newsweek and MSNBC employees who will continue to pay taxes. Your tax dollars wiil allow me to sit on my but and do nothing and get away with it. God you people are idiots!!!!!!!!!!! But thanks, since I will have a relatively stress free life I will continue to mooch of you idiots until I reach at leats 100. God keep it up, socialism really did work in every country it has been tried in. Thanks again my life is going to be awesome now!

May the road to inauguration be strewn with potholes and suicide bombers.

  • Posted By: luckylarry @ 11/15/2008 1:38:12 AM

I am not sure I understand the meaning of this article. Is it implying that Obama is the illegimate offspring of John Kennedy on a drunken night? Does that make Ted his uncle? Do we all go out and have sex with someone of a different race, in hope of delivering the next Obama? Just what was going on in that crowd in Chicago? Group Sex? I just did not know that this was the change they were talking about.

    • Posted By: trishaschmidt @ 11/15/2008 1:54:03 AM

Ph yeah luckylarry...it makes me and every other caucasian female want to lay the nasty dance down with the next black man we see... Go shop for a bigger brain. You seriously need one.

Yes! Yes! Yes!. The Empire of Rome will return. Alexander the Great will be great once again. The moon will be in the 7th house and Jupiter will align with Mars. Oh yes! Peace will guide the planets and love will counquer all. Folks the age of Aquarius is here. The great one has arrived and we are so blessed. Pro-create everyone, The media knows best. Let us all place our brains to the side and listen to the "real people in the know." Hey folks (yeah you in the media; you got a bachelors in journalism. I don't believe that included astrophysics or omniscience 101). Blah! Blah! Blah!

What's so historic about all this?

  • Posted By: littleabige @ 11/15/2008 1:16:02 AM

So let me get this straight. A man who would enable women (ignorant or not) to kill their unborn child or better yet, to let it be born and then watch it die a slow painful death is supposed to bring hope in our lives?? So much hope that we are willing to have more children when some of us see where this country is headed. I don't see it. But then again, if I were thinking like a dem. the day after he was elected I would have asked my husband to quit his job, come home and work on our 4th child and live off of the government.

    • Posted By: girlfromak2 @ 11/15/2008 1:23:05 AM

I think that you have hit on the new retirement plan for those of us who are tired of supporting every one who wants to sleep all day. If you can't beat them and get tehm working, Join them (and then who will support us...)

  • Posted By: trishaschmidt @ 11/15/2008 1:21:03 AM

I think its all beautiful...no matter what happens. F#CK the press! Let's all just be happy in the moment and rejoice in this historic era.

    >> Instead of checking birth rates, lets ask for the Phizer report on the orders for the morning after pill and RU486. Did someone who named that one have a sick sense of humor (RU=Are You 4=for 86 is the term to clear someone out )<<

    girlfromak2....good one. :-D
