    Good night all :)

I wonder if it is time for me to sit back and wait for my check that His Pers-Elect promised me. Heck, he made it sound like I can retire early and I'd better if I want any Social Insecurity.

I feel ya eurotahny. I work hard too. But along with the income tax becomming law under a Democrate, welfare was instituted by Republicans. None of this is cut and dry. I remember when Medicaid was considered a socialist step fostered by Republicans. Trust me this has been a issue for forever. I watch someone making 22k and get a 5k refund and turn around and complete a return for someone struggling making 65k and owe. No simple answer will do for a system that has lived for nearly 100yrs.

Thank you for your rational and thoughtful comment. Bravo.

This "lighthearted" story just shows me the media worship of this guy. They will never say anything negative about him. So we will never get the full story and then only shallow sugary ones at that. Hello, Kitty.

AMERICA: WELCOME THE TWO STOOGES (OBAMA AND BIDEN) AND 'THE ONE'S' FIRST GHETTO FAMILY - MICHELLE, ET AL. UGH. We're in the middle of a crisis - a runaway train heading our way (national security, economics) and we picked children to now rule this nation; and picked one of the most inexperienced, radical left wing candidate in history. He's no JFK, Roosevelt...It's like Fresh Prince of Bel Air goes to D.C. The most ridiculous, laughable election - if it were'nt so pathetic and scary.

I find the title (and whole premise) of this article tragically ironic. The culture of death we live in, the culture Obama has vowed to perpetuate, would rather see these babies killed. By the way, this is interesting because of all the race related stories that have followed since the Obama won the election: abortion kills more black (or African-American or whatever your preference, I am not trying to be hurtful) babies than white babies. Look it up if you don't believe me. If anyone in the media were consistent, they would be labeling this barbaric practice as racist for this reason and advocate its cessation. They would, that is, if they believe in the "choice" that murders over 1.2 million babies every year.

That is not what MUST YOU SPEAK said to me when he thought I was talking about skin color. (see his comment 11:08 pm)

I agree with you fraciefranklin, I don't think this was to be a closed fist argument. It was a light hearted storyline.

In the past Obama has voted against assistance for babies who survive abortion. He will only allow a blanket and a nurse's arms while the baby gasps his/her last breath. His callousness toward the most innocent of human beings dying when he could try to help, puts blood on his hands....the blood of those murdered.

Oh yes change is in the works for sure! Free money for those that dont work. If youre africian american heck just wait for teh check. If you work, you will pay more taxes because there are those who dont want to work, but but need money. We'll support them. Oh yea, the rich, they will pay more too. The governement? Well all they have to do is print more money. What agrand four years we have ahead of us! Yes CHANGE is in the air. People who are working are screwed, those who arent, well they dont have to, just wait on the check.

I don't think Obama is putting a gun to anyones head and telling them to abort. A law shouldn't make people stop killing. We should stop killing because it's immoral. Even God gives us a choice.

Sadamerican, while i share your sadness, i'm not sure i get your reference. Not sure who Obama has murdered but I do think he's a poor choice. And yes, I do agree, we will all come to regret this election.

I think that sadamerica is referring to Illinois law that he sponsered to keep partial birth abortion where the abortionist pulls the babies leg and tugs most of the body out. The head is not delivered so that the siccors can poke a hole in the baby's skull and vaccuum the brains out to deliver a dead baby. Yep, that is our new pres elect. I'm so proud of his protection of the voiceless humans.

  • Posted By: franciefranklin @ 11/14/2008 11:36:29 PM

I think this is supposed to be a lighthearted human interest story not hard news. The point is people were happy and hopeful when Obama was elected (obviously except for most of the people adding comments here).

We'll see how everything pans out...well I hope! As for Obama being almost 9 months to the day after JFK election...unless he was premature...I'd like to inform the author the the human gestation period is normally 38-40 weeks long (try 10 months!).

the obama girls are a big hit with white kids

    • Posted By: momiel @ 11/14/2008 11:31:35 PM

And why shouldn,t they be ? Grown up are the only one that has messed up this world, Children don,t see color untll we adult show them, Give the man achance he can,t do any worse than the one,s before him .Just think he has to clean up someone else mess, and that always hard, but let,s be willing to give change a chance.

Free day care for the obama generation. Obama and democrates universal day care will need babies to fill its ranks. People wont need abortions because they wont be taking care of the kids the state will from birth right to college. Universal health everything will be paid for its going to be great! woot for hope and change.

trinity0770, it's only been this way since income tax became law, I think in 1913, under a Democrat, by the way (Wilson). I have no problem with paying taxes. We have to support the huge machine in DC that someone decided we needed. I just disagree that poor people deserve money simply because they're poor. Why are they poor? Drugs, alcohol, inability to speak English, health? I work hard, I pay a mortgage, I pay taxes, I'm not asking for a thing. I just don't want to be asked to support anyone else.
