Comment: The primary reason things are not good right now is because the newest generation of Americans are self-centered, know-it-all (not really) brats. They excel at insults and divisiveness and think the Disneyland they live in is real and the real world their leaders is dealing with is fictitious. 99% of the population are ignorant idiots compared to Rove (and Bush, Obama, and McCain). These two posters are typical examples. Why pay attention to Rove? The question is "Why pay attention to YOU?"

I hope your comments are a plant by anti-Republican and anti-American types and this is not really how you think. You make a great example of what is wrong with the Republican Party and indeed with much of America these days.

The answer to "why pay attention to you?" Because this comment probably reflects what the typical well thought out voter believes. And its the American voter that won this election.

And to close, a note to Karl. You need to stop talking about how everyone must "appear" and the "message" that must be given. Either the Republicans have at their heart and in their actions what is right for the voter or they do not. If not, they will not return to power. No facade or appearance will ever again be accepted. The American people are not there to be duped into a vote that is connived or conned out of them. That game is over.

I suggest you spend time on figuring out what is right for America and promoting that and not what is right for the Republican Party to get back into power. When you have America's interest at heart and the Republicans are delivering what is right for the country, then they might return to power.

To start with, it needs new leaders and no Palin is not remotely a possibility for what American needs. And, to be sure, neither are you.

And I hope it is how he thinks, because he is right!

Rove, you deserve the same fate as Atwater, you scum.

"The goal is to have the sharp differences that emerge make the GOP look like the more reasonable, hopeful and inviting party" -- look like ?? This is the typical marketing approach and the strategy of those who hijacked the conservative movement and the Republican party in 2000 and drove our country to the brink on many fronts. How about reforming the party so it is the more reasonable, hopeful and inviting party?

I thought Karl Rove crawled back under a rock in Texas?

Karl Rove is one of the advisors that pointed Bush in the direction he took, which ultimately has crippled this nation at home and abroad, bankrupting it financially and morally. It's ironic that he is now suggesting how the Republican party can save itself. My advice- do the opposite of everything he suggests, for the good of the nation and the Republican party.
