    McCain & Palin lost !
John Mcain is not a charismatic articulator man and Sarah Palin is a charismatic dumb woman.
You can call president-elect Barack Obama whatever get you through the night, but it not going to
change the fact that OBAMA WON!

People are worried about Miller's judgment, and if she has sex with goats.
"They are expressing a concern and a fear that is widely shared," Staver says.

The people who believe Obama is the Antichrist are perhaps jumping to conclusions, but they're not nuts. Columnist you are nuts, and the worst type of individual. You are a brainless hack, that is an insult to brainless hacks. Barack Obama is a child of God and practicing christian. Tat you would think that people who call him the Antichrist are perhaps only jumping to conclusions shows that you are without doubt an idiot. This publication that published this crap and especially your editors need examination.

Honestly speaking newsweek's online discussion taught me how to express my ideas positively and without fear. Before, I was afraid to speak out my mind thinking that I might be wrong with my opinion and hurt other people's feeling. Now I'm free. Free to criticize other people's idea or accept other people's opinion or even accept my own mistakes and start again. A kind of attribute Antichrist will never be able to posses. God bless America.

Why does Lisa Miller have sex with goats?

  • Posted By: A Hermit @ 11/18/2008 9:49:11 AM

Why are journalists so afraid to just state the facts? These people who think Obama might be the Antichrist are nuts. If you must talk about them at all, just say they are nuts; don't pretend there's anything reasonable about their lunatic obsessions.

    Great article Lisa!!

  • Posted By: jolim @ 11/18/2008 9:27:16 AM

I have always found Lisa Miller's column to be inane and irrelevant. Her writing has no place in a reality-based news magazine. If you agree that her sectarian rants have no place in Newsweek, please join me in telling the editors to dump her from the publication.

This reminds me of why I canceled my Newsweek subscription. That, and Karl Rove.

I've always found Lisa Miller's pieces to be inane and irrelevant, though worth a chuckle here and there. But this piece of drivel has no place in a reality-based news magazine. It's time to close this column down. Let's send letters to the editor to get them to drop this silly weekly sectarian rant.

Maybe Newsweek is now the in-flight reading material offered on the Hale-Bopp comet flying saucer. Get your sneakers and jumpsuit on now! In fairness to what had been a great journalistic tradition -- Newsweek now should be obligated to also cover voodoo, Santeria and Wiccanism to round it out..... We've advanced techonology but still hold onto those silly superstitious Dark Ages beliefs. Wow -- saddening

Can you spell irresponsible??? How about stupid.....ridiculous....idiotic....irrational???? Anyone who would give credence to such an absolute crock of garbage is only surpassed by an editor who would allow such drivel to take up space in their publication. Yes, I support free speech but there is also the concept of responsibility in reporting. This is a prime example of irresponsibility. Terrorists aren't the only religiously, fanatical nut cases out there folks. They exist in droves in our country. Articles like this help to feed extremely irrational fears and prejudices, giving these nut cases 'justification' to act on their misconceptions and irrational thoughts. THAT is the height of stupidity......supplying a forum for irrational thought.

This is the most ridiculous article I've ever read in Newsweek. Is this a joke? It's certainly not serious journalism. My opinion of your publication just went down a LOT. I will hesitate to come to your publication in the future for political analysis if you publish this kind on nonsense.

I cannot believe that a well recognized, used to be respectable and worth reading, news reporting "company" ever thought to report such an article. I promise that I will make sure I never read another article from this media source again and I will pass on the feelings. Very, very irresponsible reporting.

No, I'm fairly certain the AntiChrist is from Alaska.

Obama has come onto the scene virtually out of nowhere. The questions about him and his shady past are very well known, but dismissed as trivial. Anyone wanting to discuss his associations is quickly labeled racist. Without a single, credible Republican making any reference to Obama's race, nonetheless, he gave a speech claiming that "they will say he doesn't look like all those other guys on the dollar bill" and his loyal supporters just accepted it. Even now political pundits are asking what type of Presidency will be the Obama Presidency, stating that we know absolutely nothing about him. That???s right, we know nothing, and that is true because the Press refused to properly vet him.

In the month of September alone he raised 150 million dollars, he claims from ordinary citizens, all the while claiming ordinary citizens are hurting. Of course, he says this is a more of a tribute to the level of support they have for him and less a reflection of the actual financial situation in the country. Nothing he says or does touches him in any negative way. The Press are entitling him and they made his election a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Obama drew record crowds everywhere he went. Ironically, in Germany he drew more than 200,000 supporters early in the race. Following that he drew a record US crowd of 150,000. From the early stages of his campaign, supporters have been so taken with his charisma that they actually fainted during rallies.
Obama himself at a fundraising roast repeated the oft used allusion to the Messiah, joking that he was "not born in a manger." It was a roast, to be sure, but has anyone in our history ever been referred to or thought of in such terms? No, not until Obama.

Even the impending Obama Presidency and absolute Democrat rule has Anti-Christ overtones. Obama, Pelosi, and Reid: The Trinity of liberalism. Obama the slick and oh so smooth leader; Pelosi, the San Francisco liberal without any common sense who yields power without thought to consequences, thus, the perfect stooge for Obama; and Reid, so partisan that even those in his own Party dislike him and his vitriol. Not the "axis of evil,' but the Trinity of Evil.

Christians should fear what Obama represents. He is the epitome of deception and gives us much more than a glimpse of just how the Anti-Christ will gain world domination. Is Obama the Anti-Christ? To quote him: "That is above my pay grade." What I do know he is has Anti-Christ characteristics that frighten me. But what really frightens me is how easily so many have been fooled by him. I now understand how the Anti-Christ, whoever he/she is, will be able to deceive the faithful so easily. Beware and be scared because a black cloud is overhead.

"Obama has come onto the scene virtually out of nowhere"

      Uh, no.

Thanks, Tom, for your very intelligent and informative analysis. I agree with you. I don't believe BO is the anti-Christ, but I believe he has many characteristics of the coming anti-Christ. And the way people all over the world have fallen for him, despite his total lack of qualifications and experience and corrupt associations, helps me to see how the world will so easily fall for the coming anti-Christ. Oh, and BTW, the anti-Christ will not be called by that name. He will be smooth and reassuring and possibly "Christ-like" - but it will all be a deception.

Every time the United States politicians have pushed hard for Israel to divide her land,
within 24 hours the US is hard hit with a disaster. It's happened over 71 times. For most
folks who know the Bible, study current world events, it would not take long to decide...
that change is needed... "Repentence from sin and dead works, give God back our Nation and schools!" Obama is making the push for peace a priority in the middle east (dividing Israel).
