Is Obama the Antichrist?

If you are as offended as I am by this article, for the sake of sanity, let it be known - to the author, to the editors of Newsweek, and to their advertisers. Enough of this insanity! I used to believe in tolerance of all religious viewpoints, but this has exceed the limits of my tolerance. These wingnuts want our government and foriegn policy to be based on the 'rapture,' which just scares the stuffing out of me. If they are not stood up to, they will not be silenced.

Wow. What would Christ do if he were commenting on this article? Would he rather we elect McCain and let Palin become president? I doubt it. I also doubt that the Antichrist will have as many critics as BO has. And what about false prophets? Do false prophets include those who accuse innocents of Antichrist status? I believe God is intelligent and expects intelligence of mankind. To prey upon those who cannot think for themselves in such troubled times is criminal. Unbelievable.

Except for the fact that in the earliest known manuscript the number is given as 616. Here in Pennsylvania the number 666 has hit in the daily lottery more than a dozen times since 1980. The world has not come to an end yet.

People who think Obama is the Beast from the book of Revelation should perhaps, you know, read the book of Revelation. Does he have a fatal wound that was healed? What would you say are his seven heads and ten horns? What does the Dragon represent, and are all people worshipping it? Who was the woman with child that preceded the Beast? If you're going to try to cite scripture, you should probably know what it says...

The world is in the present state of anomie in large part because the utterances and actions of those who claim to speak for Christ. I have never understood before the November 4 election how those who claim they were Christians could have enslaved other human beings in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and were responsible for many of the racist policies of the last 100 years.

Some pastors, elders and ministers were spreading lies and bearing false witness against another human being for political reasons in the just concluded presidential elections. What shall we call all those that foretold a McCain victory? Are they not all false prophets?

The reason the world does not believe the good news - that Christ died for the sins of mankind and rose again on the 3rd day and is the right hand of God - is because of false Christians and their false messages, lifestyles and evil ways. When salt loses its saltiness, it is only fit to be cast away.

For those who are yet to believe:
Please do not let these false messages and actions of false prophets stop you from searching the Scriptures to inform yourself of the veracity of God's word. Christ will indeed come again and the antichrist will precede him. However, of that hour and day no man knows according to the scriptures.

The word of God enjoins us all to repent of our sins, call on the name of God to be saved. The true believer's
mandate is to preach the good news to others.
