Is Obama the Antichrist?

So Staver says, "The people who believe Obama is the Antichrist are perhaps jumping to conclusions, but they're not nuts: "They are expressing a concern and a fear that is widely shared." Of course they're nuts. If a group of people accused the President of being an alien, we would most certainly think those people were nuts. But because they claim something so ridiculous in the name of religion, we're supposed to accept that? Give me a break.

Not to be derisive or anything but if any number over 160 means that the Rapture is nigh, shouldn't those who plan on going avoid driving cars and fastening seat belts as much as possible? I mean no one wants their unmanned vehicle creaming an unbeliever before they have an opportunity to repent. Also wouldn't every year that there isn't a Rapture automatically raise the scale on Strandberg's Rapture Index? The Bible says that no man knows the day or the hour that the Lord will return and it instructs us to live according to certain principles so we can be pleasing to the Lord. People should spend less time worrying about the end of days and more time feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and otherwise caring for "the least of these".

This is why religion drives people crazy and anxious. Religion only makes people feel fear; they have a list of sins. from my point of view there is only good , if people don???t follow what good is then the only thing left is bad and there is consequences not "sins" you learned from the mistake and decide not to do it again, you will not dye from it and nothing will be taken from you . the bible was written by people just like you and me. So if a group of people write a book and decides that that will be the real "bible??? are we going to start fallowing what that group believe in? Why the antichrists have to have the "666" not 999 or any other digits, for that matter only one digit? Why do Christians think that their religion is the right one, the Catholics think that its their the one that is right... and so on... religious people are very ignorant people

This is why religion drives people crazy, why does religion only gives you fear and the necessity of finding things that you don???t even know if they are real or not. How do we know that the antichrist will be real, that it will happen? The bible was writing by living people like you and me. Why are we fallowing what they say we should fallow. Why do Christians live in fear and "sin". there is only good things, if you don???t follow good, them there is consequences but not sins... why do the best sign has to be 666 and not 999 or for that matter any other 2 digits or more or one.... ????

Obama as antichrist makes no sense, even to so-called Christians. why? If he is then why aren't they rejoicing? Why isn't everyone happy that Christ is coming back soon? Why are they scared? Why? Becasue they really have no faith. They have no faith that what they say is true, which is why they are scared, becasue they really don't believe what they are saying at all. I know it goes without saying that most of Chrisitanity make no sense, but the so-called believers need to really get a grip. If the antichrist singals the end of days when Christ comes back and rules, then why be afraid? Are they afriad that what they say won't come true? Are they afraid that what they say will come true? If so why? The rapture is when all the goody Christians go the heaven and the bad ones go to hell, correct? If i'm a good Christian, the Obama=antichrist means I'm about to go to heaven. That sounds like a good thing, a wonderful thing even, but only if I believe that I'm good and going to heaven. The hypocrite christianicks are showing their true colors when they get scared of end of days. For instance, if I book a flight to LA from NYC, I am pretty assured that I have a seat. Am I sweating bullets on my ride to the airport, wondering if I have a seat, no. Why? Becasue I already know I booked my ticket. I guess the people who rant and rave about Obama being the antichrist are the ones that really are going to hell, or else why worry?

Aren't these the same people who want to team up with extremist Jews to destroy the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. Because everyone knows that the Rapture can't occur, nor the second-coming until this prophecy is fulfilled. Christian Evangelicism and Jewish Orthodoxy make strange bedfellows, indeed, when it comes to the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple.

People who believe that they hear voices speaking to them are medicated, because they are schizophrenics. People who believe that they hear god's voice speaking to them are praised and given deference. They are praised even when they come up with ridiculous metaphysical conspiracy theories like the above. That sounds like a rather dangerous double-standard to me.

These people should worry less about Obama and worry more about getting some antipsychotics into their bodies.

This sounds more like George W.Bush to me.......not President Obama.....Bush is the reason we are in this mess...but the blame is being put on someone who just got elected... it doesn't make sense.

Blah blah blah, all the religious nonsense in the comments are driving me crazy. There is no damn antichrist, every single generation has always believed theirs would end. Anyone in the world would seem to fit the description of antichrist. Just the same as horoscopes, everybody knows about them but only a few nuts actually seriously believe its real.
