Crass, coarse America-hater
Crass, coarse America-hater
I bet you're not a hater at all, are you?
She is a racist hateful bigot. Yea, she is very different from every other first lady that actually loved this country. I woder if they will be as petty and imature as the Clintons when they get kicked out in 2012. God save this country. They cannot be gone soon enough.
Did you pick a name that sounds like 'racism' on purpose?
Newsweek scores again! The article was designed to bring out the hate filled Republican racists and worked like a charm. Not to say that most of the Republicans are hate filled racist. They are most assuredly not, but no attampt has been made by them to rid their party of the racist. Every vote counts, i guess.
easy...calm down. You are so quick to label all republicnas as racist. First of all the current republicans are not true conservatives. True conservatives are by no means racists if you now your history at all. Second, if you want to go down the vote avenue, who do you think most of the african americans voted for?
How many whites do you figure voted against him because of his color?

Comment: She has no appeal. I dislike her immensely. For the first time in my adult life, I'm no longer proud of my country.
I can't agree with you more.
Love Michelle. She is a tour de force. I will buy any magazine she is on. I want to know what she is wearing to the inauguration.
She smart, witty, strong. She is such the anti-stereotype. I think that's why people work so hard to disparage her. Small minds tend to combust when faced with overwheling proof that their view is not supported by fact.
I hope Jennifer Hudson gets to sing at the inauguration, too.
She has no appeal. I dislike her immensely. For the first time in my adult life, I'm no longer proud of my country.

It''s nice to see that race is already becoming an issue in the forthcoming presidency and how much the Obama's will help out or set an example to "Black America" Why can't it just be yeah hey great congrats he's the first African-American President and that's definitely something to be proud of. He made history. Well so did Sarah Palin. Had the election of turned the other direction and comments were being made of how much McCain was going to help "White America" holy crap we'd be on the very verge and edge of civil war and race riots of the 60's. Grow up "Black America" and let the past be just that. Move on and look forward to the future as "Americans" and not as "Black Americans or White Americans" !!
The past will never just be the past until the kkk, skinkeads, white supremists and the like accept the fact that black, brown, yellow and red people have the right to pursue self enrichment, academic excellence and financial freedom unhindered and unencumbered by hatred and descrimination. Clinton, McCain and Palin all insinuated and at times directly stated that whites would not and should not vote for Barack Obama because he is black. At times their rallies looked and sounded like organized hate. You want blacks to forget history, then stop reminding us of it each time an intelligent black man or woman is treated like an anomoly instead of the norm. Racism has been institutionalized to the highest degree in America and until there is no semblance of it we cannot forget. The Jews are not asked to forget, the Japanese are not asked to forget and the American Indian is not asked to forget. The pain and fallout of the historical black experience in America is very real. Americans have spoken loudly and clearly: We chose Barack Obama because he is the best, hands down, regardless of race or hue. On a global level, stop de-Africanizing the so called Middle East and admit that Jesus Christ was a man of color. Black people did not invent the divisive terms for complexion and stature. We have lived with it and suffered because of it however best and most of all, we are overcoming it one election at a time!
Anybody want to speculate on which party the KKK, Skinheads andWhite Supremist identify with? Every vote counts, right?
everybody take a deep breath and ...calm down. the article was the opinions of some African American women who have a very legitimate right to voice their opinions - just like all the folks reading and blogging here - they are not plotting to overthrow the gov't, advocating we all drink the Kool-ade, or eat the poor class' young. Try to remember how it feels to be an adult, in America, and not out of control.
my prediction is 4 years and out.
" Michelle will become the world's most visible African-American woman. She has the power to change the way African-Americans see ourselves, our lives and our possibilities"
Does the name Condaleeza Rice ring a bell? I suppose conservative African American women don't count!.
"This is the first time I've really been proud of my country," was obviously a meaningless hyperbole along the lines of "I wouldn't eat that for a million bucks." Get over it.
Ivy league pedigree, cool but friendly demeanor, classy, strong, fitness junkie.....did any of the "sista friends" ever notice Condalezza Rice? I'm not diminishing Michelle's role (and I think she'll do well), but Sec. Rice has been providing a great role model for black women and a rebuke to the stereotypes mentioned in the article for many years. Does her conservative bend wipe out her accomplishments for liberal black women?
When asked by People Magazine in this summer's issue, The Obama's do not give their children
birthday or Christmas presents because they have enough. I hope that they will decorate the
White House next Christmas but that will be up to the Obamas.
Speaking as a white man, which is the most discriminated against group in America today, I dread the coming onslaught of the "Black Empowerment" movement that seems to be MO's focus. Racism is alive and well today as demonstrated by the Obama movement.
jman5, You wouldn't make a pimple on Holyroller's butt. You're dumb enough, just not up to his standards. Work on it. throw in a "Barry" or "Hussien" or NOBAMA here and there.
classy
"Speaking as a white man, which is the most discriminated against group in America today"
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ms. Obama will be an excellent first lady. She is highly educated and understands the needs of urban communities. She can learn allot from /ms. Bush. People will see change in new ways. Ms. Obama will also learn as she and the children learn to adjust to the ways of Washington and the world.
You're right "We've never had a first lady like her"--The others loved America BEFORE their husbands got elected
agree
She looks like a Goddess-shaped woman to me - I love it that she is almost 6 ' in height and has (gasp)
REAL HIPS!!!! just like a woman
She seems like a nice lady, and I wish her well in her new role.
And you are right, I never thought of it before, but she does have some big honkin' hips.
to "ok4u" - get over yourself. and stop reading hatred into the self-revealing comments of the women in the article. open your mind and maybe heart and you might learn soemthing.
Not a Republican. What's your excuse? Do you agree with MLK jr, or with the writer of the Newsweek article?
