Rachel Maddow, and her show, is the perfect follow up to Keith Olbermann and his show. I love them both. It's the best two hours of TV in the evening. After a long day at school, I love to kick back and watch both shows. I like the fact that Rachel is so obviously intelligent and passionate about what she does. She also has an awesome sense of humor, and watching the news these days, you can either laugh or cry, and I much prefer to find some humor in all the chaos out there. Rachel, here's hoping we get to enjoy you and your show for many years to come! P.S - Ken Jones is pretty hilarious too!

"after a long day at school" ...hmm, once again I fear for the left-wing indocrination that our children receive in place of a real education. Anyone who can be a fan of these two leftist ranters and ravers is just frightening.

Your fright at finding someone could be a fan of Maddow or Olbermann is quite understandable, coming from a scared little man like you. Enjoy your slide into irrelevance.

Actually, I'm a very confident big man, one who possesses enough rugged individualism to not require being 'saved' by "The Messiah", like all of you left-wing freaks.

I'm also confident enough to have figured out how to post things only once...LOL

That you find it frightening that someone could be a fan of Olbermann or Maddow is really quite easy to understand, coming from a scared little man like you. Enjoy your time in the wilderness...

I love Rachel Maddow. Doesn't matter what wingnut Fox Noise enthusist say. Only a true wingnut would say that Sean anti-semite Hannity isn't totally in the tank for anything Republican. You people listen to Rush LImbaugh, a professed Oxicotin abuser, and Bill the falafel O'Reilly and you take their advise and opinions? Use your own brain for a change, you've allowed the bushies to take over you ability to reason and make sound decisions. Stop listening to Fox, read newspapers and get more than one opinion. LEArn how to make your own decisions and don't be spoon fed your information. Think things through. IT's because you've allowed the Hannity LImpbaughs and O'Reilly's to think for you. STOP IT. These guys do it for the money the don't give a damn about you or me. They actually supported Sarah Palin as VP! Come on people, really now.

Good question. Maddow has already shown [just like the rest of the MSM including NEWSWEAK],that she is willing to swallow and spread unvetted media hoaxes,as the New York Times recently pointed out, without providing either retractions or corrections.[as surmised,Palin was the subject of this particular hoax]. Merely providing an Olbermann-Lite profile isn't getting the job done in the endless search to find unbiased honestly in the media.
''A disgusting spectacle'',which is how former ABC NEWS boss and now TIME editor Mark Halperin describes his own media at this weekends USC/POLITICO conferance in Los Angeles.''Overwhelmingly pro-Obama''. Obviously, his ''own media''was of no help in quelling such perception. Both the New York Times and MSNBCs Chris Matthews, who is fast becoming a study in how once-respected commentators become slavish partisan hacks, both demanded that Bush resign early,''by Thanksgiving'',forgetting that there is a device they have wailed about for the last eight years known as a Constitution of the United States, that would forbid such voluntary resignations without the actions of disaster, emergency,or impeachment, none of which is in the works.[particlarly those resignations demanded by a coterie of jackass ''journalists''].
Maddows assertions of running a show critical of Obama to the contrary, what we will see is a media unable and unwilling to be the standard bearers of bad news when Bush has departed the scene,as he remains a functional componant to the abilities of the press to remain safely partisan without having to answer for their obvious worship of the Expected One. This will have to change, whether they wish it or not.

I like Rachel but her certitude gets under my skin---begining to sound like GWB...Suppose its her "gut" that gives her the "truth" or she's overworked and beginning to take herself a little too seriously. I know, I know she's very bright---but she's not the only one or the brightest so wish she would ease off a little. Maybe arrogance is catching--she 's so close to Keith.

I am a sixty one year old and I love the Rachel Maddow show. She was tough on Obama early on; she kicks Joe Scarborough's butt and gets a word in edgewise; she makes watching Pat Buchanan tolerable and her football election analogy is a classic. I hope her intelligience will continue to shine and that she keeps Obama honest. He's my guy and Rachel's my girl. She can keep it fun and interesting.

What is refreshing about Rachel Maddow is she says what she says without a trace of anger. It's hard to keep a cool head in an insane and contradictory world but she does it.

LOVE her show! It's witty and entertaining (unlike Hannity and O'Reilly who only pushed their ignorant right winged rhetoric down people's throats). The GOP can blame the media all they want but, the truth is, voters today can actually think and not let the likes of Fox news dictate what we should know. We actually research whatever statements are made before deciding if they were true. Seems the GOP are really good at smearing, scaring, and using God as their theme. Won't work anymore.

I Love Rachel!!! she is smart, funny and doesn't take herself too seriously. Oh and we grew up in the same town - maybe that's why we think so much a like. She says out loud what I tend to be thinking. Keep it up Rachel!!!

I really enjoyed Rachel's coverage of the presidential race because she so often made me squirm. Whenever I got my hopes up that Obama might just win, she would ask a question that I didn't want to consider, or say McCain could still win the election. She never quite let me get comfortable, and I appreciate that aspect of her nature. I knew she would make Obama work for his dinner when she did the interview because she just never seemed afraid to ask the hard questions. I never felt as though she was catering to him as Fox news tended to cater to Palin and McCain. I hope she continues ot ride the wave for a long time.

Rachel deserves to be where she is. I will never forget when she put Joe Scarborough in his place. From that point on, I haven't been able to get enough of her. She is so smart, cute and cool just like our 44th President.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan. But Rachel is going to get stle soon not due to lack of things to talk about, or her loss of political acumen. Someone needs to tell Ms. Maddow to find her own voice rather than sounding like the female version of Keith Olberman, and by that I am not referring to the contnt of her analysis, but the delivery of same.

Society is never well served by rejecting ideas because of time worn clichés left vs right, which divide the community. Like it or not, we are on this ship called earth together, so we better build the best ship we can so we don???t wind up like the dodo. I would hope that as a society we have advanced beyond name calling and can accept ideas on merit and common sense.rather than on political ideology.

I can't believe they censored the word "***" I hope they don't censor the word "lesbian". . I am one. I claim the word "***" freely. Hell, Rachel says it in the article!

  • Posted By: meowomon @ 11/23/2008 5:03:25 AM

OK Rachel, you are a hot, hot *** who wears just a little too much make up for this femme.
But seriously, please take better care of your health and quit eating from street vendors. Those of us on the fringe left have needed a cool headed intelligent voice like your on the MSM and we don't want to lose you due to poor nutrition.

Let Rachel turn outside(r) in, inside out, and move (us) on up to a further turn of the spiral, a higher plane (holon).

My parents, in their mid-80s, are big fans of Rachel, in case you're assuming she's only a 'youth phenomenon'.

Maddow just proves that once the overly sheltered get to know us, they discover gay people are more distressingly like them than disturbingly different. I suspect her outsider self image will serve her well under a Democratic president. However one comes by it, objectivity is a valuable trait common to most good journalists.

Tell Bill Wolff that I'll be happier when Jackie Meretsky and her gorgeous pooper is back on the weather report. Have your baby Jackie and come on back.
