Citi should be put into bankruptcy with the government as the DIP. The contracts and agreements, like the stadium and executive compensation, could be voided. Citi could start over with Uncle Sam running things. There are alot of ex-CEO types around who could take a shot at saving Citi. How could they do any worse than the masterminds in charge at the moment? Actually a good choice to turn it around would be Mr. Romney who needs a gig to tide him over for a few years until his next Presidential campaign. Of course those who say Citi is too big to fail would howl and Wall Street would moan at such radical Government interference with the free market system which turns out to neither free nor a market, but only a system for fleecing investors. Nobody wants their assets, so the Government is the sucker of last resort. Let the government suck up this financial disaster, and let's get rid of the management that belong in jail for their stupidity.

What makes Citibank thinks a Sports Stadium should be named after them and, pay for it with the people's hard earned money? What gives them the right? We are loosers, and we are going to name a Sports Stadium after us? We can't pay for it ourselves so we are going to leech from tax payers.

Monday morning, I read that the government pledged my tax dollars to protect Citi. Monday evening I get home from work to a letter from Citi that they have raised my APR by 6% when I have paid off my balance every month. Thanks, Vikram...... JS

I keep hearing how Gov't rescues require limits on executive compensation. How do these executive deserve jobs let alone ANY incentive. These guys, including just about any employee at Citi, should be receiving no incentive. NOT LIMITED incentives, NO incentives. Executives are leaders and should willingly set the example that you are paid for your results, and if the results are poor enough that they require outside assistance, then no year end payouts.
