Your views are colored by the mud of Islam. India is a true democracy and much better than USA. Leaders are elected by the people not by money and in the last election elected a party dominated by minoritied like Shikhs and christian. Where do you get of criticizing India's democracy like and ignorant crooked American. India is the country where people living side-by-side peacefully for centuries even before Columbus came to this continent.

Kashmir is like any other state in India. They elect their leader just like the Sikhs, Tamils etc. and they do determine how they want to live their life, practice their religion and raise their children like every Moslem in the US. Only thing they can not do is to impose the Laws of Sharia to abuse their women and stone them to death whenever they want. They have to follow the laws of democracy.

In addition, British rulers cut a piece of India and called it Pakistan. Thus Kashmir has always been integral part of India and it is not negotiable. The moslems in Kashmir also have the right to relocate to Pakistan. As a matter of fact Pakistan was created so that Moslems can go and live their under the Laws of Sharia.

  You sure rose to the bait. Do you think because a poster calls himself "ChristianAmerican" he is really either Christian or American? Sounds like his chief grievance is peculiar to Muslims in Kashmir. He may actually be in the US, or he may not, but I don't think many Americans would identify with his issues in the way that he does.

The U.S. is just as vunerable especially our coastal cities. It doesn't take a rocket scientiest to attack us via trawler or freighter ships loaded with terrorists. Its cheap and easy. We should take this as a warning and re-think our defenses like making doubly sure we are sealing up the Gulf and our coastal perimeters and screening all nearby ships without exception. This is one Thanksgiving we should be thankful that it didn't happen here.

What India needs to do is to develop a Civil Defense force like that in US, UK and other countries like Egypt. It's leaders need to understand that the World has moved far from Gandhian philosophy to bin Laden's philosophy. It has to deploy police and military forces to protect its cities like all other countries in the world. It must not have minorities in decision making positions like the Moslem police chief of Mumbai. This police chief stopped Marine commandos from deployment for nine hours and these minorities prevented Israel from sending their commando units. Other wise, the outcome would have been much different. Indians need to elect Hindu leaders like Narendra Modi with love for the motherland.

Not very long ago, Indian security force opened fire at the peaceful demonstrators in Kashmir; scores were dead - most western media ignored it. Unfortunately, India hosted Dalai lama and supports his "self-determiation" drive (at least tacitly) and yet refuses to allow Kashmiri to decide their fate. Indians are hardly a West Democracy wannabe; it is not much different from Pakistan since Pakistanis elect their leader by popular votes.

If India mistakes the praise from the West (a result of Washington policy of "containing China") as genuine recognition of its "righteousness" and continue its double-standard domestic and foreign policies, the nation has no future. At any given moment, there are dozens of armed insurgencies going on outside big cities. India will never be a great power despite what neocons said.

Few important steps should be taken by government:
1) Make a strictly no negotiation policy with the terrorists eVen if they kidnap the President/ Prime Minister...
2) federal agency and strict anti terror law is the need of the hour.
3) THE YOUTH OF INDIA SHOULD VOW THAT IF THEY ARE EVER VICTIM OF BEING KIDNAPPED/HIJACKED BY TERRORISTS THEY WOULD COUNTER ATTACK THEM AND SHOW THEM WE ARE NOT COWARDS.
THERE ARE CHANCES OF BEING KILLED BUT ATLEAST ONE TERRORIST CAN BE KILLED THIS WAY.IT WILL MAKE THE JOB OF SECURITY FORCES EASIER TO DEAL WITH SUCH SPECIFIC ATTACKS IN THE CITIES , BUILDINGS,HIJACKINGS etc...
ALSO , THE YOUTH SHOULD UNDERSTAND AND SPREAD THE HARMONY BETWEEN HINDUS AND MUSLIMS AS WE BOTH HAVE TO LIVE TOGETHER.REMOVE POVERTY FROM BOTH COMMUNITIES AND SPREAD TOLERANCE AMONG STUDENTS ESPECIAALY YOUNG ONES.THE SCENES THE ARE WATCHING ON T.V. CAN LEAD TO INTOLERANCE FOR A PARTICULA R COMMUNITY....

What we see here is just the tip of an ice berg. This is the cause of India and the West trying to extinguish Islamic Terrorism by giving Aid to terror sponsoring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and paying lip service to the attrocities of Pakistani ISI throughout the Eastern hemisphere. It should not be taken as an isolated incident, as always, and just go on as if its a everyday thing. ISI and Pakistani fundamentalists should be fought at their door step, fire with fire, and softhandling terror will just make it worse. Does the world need another example in NYC or London?
