If they were feeling 'so much shame' they would be giving to those less fortunate. Note to self; call Will Smith and ask him to something for someone besides Will Smith.

Since so many rich people have surnames in
-ger,
-en,
-feld,
-baum,
-ein,
plus the..."classics",
Gold,Silver,Shapiro,
perhaps we should think about the reasons for that phenomenon...
Are you suggesting that all - or even most - rich people have names like that?
If so, I eagerly await your evidence.
After years of freely siphoning the life blood of American society and leaving it in decay, I have no sympathy for the narcissistic woes of Mr. Hirtensteins, or for that matter, the -steins, -bergs, -mans, or -felds of the world.
Hey, Joe...
We're laughing at you. Anti-semites are funny.
Hey Big Joe, nice job putting your bigotry and anti-semitism right out there. Are you sure your last name isn't Wurzelbacher?
You all sound as nasty as the rich you describe. There are very selfish rich people and there are giving people of wealth. To lump them all together is untrue and unfortunate. There are poor people who would give someone their last dime and others who no matter how much money they had would not share with anyone. Have a giving nature crosses all economic lines. It would be good thing if we all would make do with less and give more no matter our circumstances.
i literally bumped into a woman downtown minneapolis on friday, obviously the biggest shopping day of the year, as i was walking back to work. i was taking the skyways because its cold here, and the skyways were pretty packed. but i bumped into this woman, carrying several large bags from saks 5th, macys, and a few other trendy spots. of course she was adorned with the latest fashion and jewelry, large sunglasses and yapping into her crystal encrusted iphone. she actually ran into me, and started yelling about how people arent paying enough attention in life, and basically how i should get the hell out of her way...then i asked..."who are all the gifts for?"..."this is all MY stuff" she said. i shook my head and thought..."i need to pay attention? this woman has no regard for anyone or anything but herself and her belongings and i need to wake up and pay attention?" i later saw her pull out of a parking ramp driving a 1985 camry rusted all to hell....i had a good chuckle and realized the rich may be cutting corners but its only for face value. they still have the same mindset, still spend lavishly, still have little regard for anyone or anything other than themselves and they're lives. sure that woman in the skyway was beautiful, but she was a monster on the inside and blew up at ME when SHE ran into ME due to HER lack of consideration....
the problem with money, once you aquire alot of it, you horde it/spend it on yourself, and your thirst for more will never cease. these people will never know real life, they will never attempt to see the other side of the fence, they will never appreciate where and how they get they're precious clothes, cars, boats, and houses. i feel no sympathy for them whatsoever. im glad they are possibly gettin a small wake up call with our financial crisis, just to take them down a few notches and give them a dose of reality. maybe they can see what its like to not be part of the 5% of the world population, but part of the other 95% of us peasants.
For sure, money does not buy class. I have a feeling a lot of rich folks are going to learn that lesson the hard way...
The riches didn't suddenly get class. They realize their fortunes are on the chopping block and there's no more coming from the fountain.
Well boohoo, just a few years back they had no trouble driving down the highway in the Hummer screw-you mobiles. Here's an idea, let them eat cake.
