When looking back in history, being thin and from Illinois is about the only thing that Lincoln and Obama have in common. Ideologically, with the exception of their oppostion to slavery, Lincoln and Obama are polar opposites. Lincoln was a Republican, and a capitalist, who believed in individual freedoms of all kinds. Obama is a Democrat.
