al gore foney global warming is just that a way for the big dogs to try and rape the consumers and workers. take a long walk off a short bridge al baby
come on ppl.., how do you get every single country to pay a single entity?
Folks, just do not let your passion for a cleaner planet distract you from the game being played on you. Global warming as a commodity = global carbon credits = global taxes = one global government.

Conservatism in everything you do is a healthy position, whether global warming is a hoax or real.
Carbon credits are cast into reality, completely invented and intangeble, for the purpose of gathering the money needed to fund ONE WORLD GOV. Seasoned with a dash of truth (greenhouse effect), please dont fall for it!
Please everyone, love your mother earth, dont accept carbon credits for any noble purpose.... Gore is poster boy for NWO... It's just a beard, he is the same guy bought and paid for... arrrrrrrr
One would suppose there was no climate changes before SUV's. But what can we expect from the illustrious inventor of the Internet?
Nice piece, I found this summary of the Green Ecomonic Recovery plan for those who don't have the time to read a 50 page report: http://www.ethanolplug.com/PlugNews/WebExclusiveSummaryofGreenRecoveryProgram/tabid/155/Default.aspx

Climate change has been around since the Big Bang, where do you think fossil fuels came from? This is Saint Al's way of trying to undercut the current energy infrastructure and make money for himself....
"Climate change has been around since the Big Bang, where do you think fossil fuels came from? "
What? No animals died without climate change? LOL.
O course Al Gore is right. We, western countries, must cut our CO2 emissions drastically. A carbon tax will send the price signal needed to drive our customers. A part of the tax income shall be shared betxeel each individual on an equal basis; this redistribution will help poor and middel class people to dealm with this price increase.
If we, western countries, cannot cut our CO2 emissions, how can we convince the emerging countries like China and India not to do the same as us?
Our first effort is mandatory to keep the hope of restoring a healthy planet for the future generations.

I wouldn't worry much. In less than 5 years, there won't be enough oil in the market for all the countries to continue growing. Then oil will be so expensive that nobody will be able to use a car anyway. End of all the problems as far as that industry is concerned. What a pity that all the farming and war machinery also needs oil to work properly...
Of course, 10 years after that, not enough gas will be available to heat all our homes. Then it's either massively burn coal as if there's no tomorrow (and there WILL BE no tomorrow), or diying from starvation and hypothermia. See? No need to worry about it, there's nothing we can do in 5-10 years to change any significant bit of this future, so just go ahead and enjoy whatever years you still have of ignoring these facts.
Probably Israel is only country which can develop efficient sun energy technology . They have so much sun and so little oil, that it may be profitable for them right now. They already are performimg interesting experiments wih mirrors.
Yet another article about the problems without any indication of solutions, though this one goes even farther to cast doubt on some of the magical solutions being touted previously. Does anybody have any real workable solutions to these problems? As a matter of fact, YES! Check out Prescription for the Planet at Amazon.com. Read the reviews, then join the revolution. It's way past time.
I'd like to know (to paraphrase DIck Cavett) whether there was any part of the first question that Mr. Gore understood.
This may sum up the pop culture importancs Global Warming has become:

I notice that some of the old fire and brimstone has left Gore's diatribe. All the Greens are soft pedaling now tht theyir mission o f electing Dems is complete.
Is the coal industry capable of transitioning into anything else? If we can't convert coal into anything clean can we convert the industry into something that eases the pain for miners, workers and investors and lessens the opposition to the industry's demise?
I was in college in the 70s during the last "mideast oil crisis." I remember having a bumper sticker that said, "GO SOLAR" and reading Mother Earth News articles about how our "Little King Society" would collapse because of greed and oil. I've stupidly voted for every politician, mostly GOP, since Reagan, who told us, "Vote for me, I'm gonna get us off mideast oil!" What an idealististic fool I was.
I also remember writing a paper in high school about Nikita Khrushchev and his rantings and shoe banging about America. He said that someday our capitalistic greed would destroy America and make us commies. He said that the gullibility of the middle class would make that happen, too. I guess I was part ot the problem. Not vigilant like our forefathers warned us to be. Now look where the hell we are.
So, if one politician says "offshore drill" and another "no offshore drill" - who will you vote for?
Previous experience on solar energy development in Germany as well as wind farm in Texas indicate that each of the renewable energy, i.e solar, wind and biofuel can achieved just a few percent of electric power generation by conventional coal burning power plant. Without nuclear power, it is generally believed to be impossible to replace the current conventional power plant (which consist of 50% of total power generation) by using renewable energy in ten years as Al Gore proposed early for CO2 reduction . Even if the US can achieved total elimination of CO2 in its atmosphere, the polluted air particle due to large scale of coal burning in China, Japan, India can always move over the Pacific and reached above the US . I am amazed that Gore is counting China and India to stop burning coal in generating electric power soon.
One legacy of the Bush era is that anyone with vision and an attention span of more than ten minutes gets labeled bonehead. Such shortsightedness is both intellectually shallow and, in the long run, dangerous.
Someone make sure he finds a way to push this new Ocean Current tech and the new Solar technology (99-100% of solar energy converted) so we don't waste time nor money on the old water and solar technologies. For the world to step pro-actively against wasting time with the dated tech and to convert that attention and those resources to that which has proven itself to be vastly superior seems kind of essential.
