Yes, you are so right! Jackie O was an exceptional Lady with great etiquette, who was always proud of her "Country". Michelle O is a typical America hater, who have committed exceptional Etiquette Faux Pas over and over and over.......... Oh Gosh!!!!!There is no comparison!

The Obama's have not even been in the white house yet, and we are already comparing them to great presidents and first ladies. Lets give them a year in the white house and we will see which president and first lady they emulate, but I agree Michelle is no Jackie.

Beauty is only skin deep;ugly is to the bone.

    • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 11/30/2008 2:05:33 PM

Your comment is cruel. Firstly, Michelle is not ugly. Second, if she was ugly, it would serve you better to show a little compassion instead.

  • Posted By: Pia1981 @ 11/30/2008 2:00:55 PM

These comparisons of Pres. elect Obama and Michelle Obama to former presidents and former First Ladies, are tiresome. Obama is Obama and Michelle is Michelle!

  • Posted By: cheeers @ 11/30/2008 1:15:25 PM

Michelle NOBama is NO Jackie O just like Barack NOBama is NO JOHN KENNEDY and never will be!!!

  • Posted By: sedonakaren @ 11/29/2008 5:27:30 PM

The comparison is more about how we FEEL about Michelle Obama and Jackie Kennedy,. They're both beautiful, articulate, mothers of small children, and someone we wish to emulate.

BTW, just for your information, Michelle's law degree is the equivalent of a DOCTORATE, not a master's. It's called a JD, and that stands for "Doctor of Jurisprudence."

    • Posted By: Tzord99 @ 11/29/2008 6:02:51 PM

IGNORANCE! IGNORANCE!! Please stop spreading ignorance!!! JD is neither a doctorate degree nor up to masters. With a very good JD result, you return to the university and do serious studies before you earn masters. After masters, you return to do the toughest and longest academics work of your life before you can earn a doctorate degree. JD is mere appellation, not anything near doctorate. Comparing the two is like comparing a bungalow and a skyscraper because they are both called houses.

      • Posted By: ender5976 @ 11/30/2008 1:14:59 PM

Commentors probably understand that a J.D. will not substitute for a Masters on the road to a Phd. However, the way you describe a J.D. sounds as though getting a J.D. is less accomplished than getting a Masters. However, by this line of reasoning, an M.D. is less than a Masters also. A J.D. is a professional degree and allows you to practice law. A Masters of Studies in Law will not allow you to practice law. Therefore, I beg to differ when you imply that a J.D. is less than a Masters. However, I am only describing how a J.D. and a Master in Law works in the United States. My brother-in-law is a lawyer in Australia, and I believe things work differently over there.

Kennedy never made a stupid comment about being proud of her country for the first time. Just like her husband Michelle Obama was protected by the media unlike any other politician before. Just like her husband we don't know anything real about, her just her well scripted interviews.

JD is not equivalent to a Doctorate degree. Doctorate degree in law is SJD, JSD or Ph.D. JD is way less than those. JD is also less than masters degree. How do I know, because I just finishing my Doctorate Degree in Law --- several years after the JD. Check your facts before you puntificate.

      • Posted By: Vegas Shopper @ 11/30/2008 12:22:29 PM

Despite your inflammatory way of expressing it, I'm still interested in your remark that a JD is "less than a Master's". It's three years of post graduate work followed by some brutal exams. Why is that inferior to a Master's?

      • Posted By: markci @ 11/30/2008 10:35:20 AM

I bet dollars to donuts you never graduated high school.

      • Posted By: chris s. @ 11/29/2008 9:28:57 PM

My, my, aren't we full of ourselves? Guess that makes Michelle just a dumb ol' country girl. Sounds like your candidate lost.

        • Posted By: Forty4 @ 11/30/2008 10:27:21 AM

Tzord99 didn't say MO was a dumb country girl. S/he simply corrected the poster's information regarding a Doctorate degree, which btw has nothing to do with Obama winning the election.

IGNORANCE! IGNOMINABLE IGNORANCE!! JD is neither equivalent to Doctorate nor Masters. JD is much lower degree than both. "Juris Doctor" is mere appellation. After JD one goes back to the university to work really hard for Masters. After successful masters, one can qualify to go back to the university and do the really really serious academic works that lead to Doctorate. Stop spreading ignorance on subject you know little about.

Isn't Michelle the same person who refferred to Obama as "her baby daddy" during his Illinois senator victory speech? Now there's a real class act there. Didn't I see her on Jerry Springer? Jackie O had more class in her pinky toe than Michelle has in her whole body. There's no comparison.

Uh, no she did not, and no you did not. Get back on your medication, nutjob.

      • Posted By: Forty4 @ 11/30/2008 10:44:08 AM

Springer, no. Did M.O. say that? Yes.

Actually that transcript says "my baby's daddy," not "my baby dady." If you don't understand the difference then ask around -- maybe someone with a three-digit IQ can explain it to you.

          • Posted By: Shanshayla @ 11/30/2008 11:28:27 AM

If there is a difference, I see you didn't offer an explanation.... just an insult. I guess your IQ must be under a 100.

          • Posted By: Forty4 @ 11/30/2008 11:00:57 AM

Go ahead and split hairs, it's what libs with 3 digit IQ's do best.

Ihave always admired Jacqueline Kennedy for her style, grace, and intelligence. How anyone can place Michelle Nobama in the same league is abominable! Her style, or lack thereof, will not represent her well in the White House. And, how graceful can she be? Michelle Nobama is built like an Amazon with a ghetto butt that seems to have no end! As for her intelligence, all one needs to do is read her thesis to see that her writings are the ramblings of an idiot! The only reason she was accepted into Ivy League colleges is because Affirmative Action was alive and well.

    • Posted By: lilyofthealley @ 11/30/2008 10:51:33 AM

      Right on!

    • Posted By: cutecaramel @ 11/30/2008 6:50:25 AM

Bran, my friend, I think that you are just one of those frustrated person who cannot stand that black people do better than you do, I can see that by the way you react and by the words you use (idiot); I think your text reflects who you are, it reflects how frustrated your poor person is and it also shows us that you are not really well served between your two legs. Besides that, let me add that; you don`t seem to have studied at sciences Paris or HEC Montreal or Stanford; worse, I think you did not achieve much in your life, reason why you behave in such a way, but may be???you deserve to remain down there, too as your mentality flies at 3 metres above sea level..and still!!
MY friend, the only person I consider as an idiot is ???follow my eyes???.hhehehe and not Michelle Obama, far from it I would say. YOU cannot just stand that some people can make it, and you can`t, you cannot just stand that some people are much smarter than you are and you are a failure???no you can`t stand that so you spit on people..easy way to do things, but a way of a frustrated and coward man. Now keep being racist, keep hating people, I can tell you that life won`t bring you to where the smart whites are such as in Stanford, Harvard or HEC montreal; yours will bring you to the ghetto, your own ghetto???have nice stay, rooms are made for you and the Mcpalin steak is ready for you???dry and hard to eat.

Enter Your Comment No, Bran, you are incorrect. I, too, admired all the Kennedys because I believed they were intellectually superior to most Americans. However, I find the Obamas, both of them, superlative intellectuals, and I think, they are precisely, what America requires. After all, superior thinking and superlative intellects are exactly what this nation requires, right now. I am profoundly impressed with the first lady-elect's intellect and superior abilities to reason and to pursue logic. Two great minds are always better than one. Two superior intellects are always preferable to one, and then, we can reflect on Bush and his first lady's tragic and flawed thinking, also reflective on intellectual idiocy.

  • Posted By: markci @ 11/30/2008 10:29:37 AM

Comparing an accomplished woman like Michelle Obama to that vapid fashion plate Jackie O. (yep, after Kennedy she married a thoroughly gross old man for his money) is an insult to the new First Lady.

  • Posted By: lilyofthealley @ 11/30/2008 10:19:05 AM

Michelle Obama doesn't hold a candle to Jackie O in any category: looks, class,. fashion or social sense. She may be the wife of the President-elect but let's not put her in a category she doesn't and enver will deserve. Jackie O wouldn't have used Michelle's election night dress to clean Macaroni's stal.

Boy, I'd love to be able to afford to shop at J. Crew. A fashion populist? Try shopping at Target or Sam's Club for clothes sometime!

Comparing Michelle Obama To Jackie O.? What an insult to Jacki O.

  • Posted By: winogeneral @ 11/30/2008 7:55:52 AM

sigh, i've never ever gotten all this lover's crap over politics, calling Kennedy's era "Camelot" and now comparing Mrs. Obama to Jackie-O. It's idolatry in its most sophisticated form. They should just let the bygone era be just that - a thing of the past, and let Michelle try to be her own person. I'm sure she'll make many fine contributions, to the point that perhaps 40 years from now reports will be comparing the new first lady to her??

  • Posted By: timothyone @ 11/30/2008 7:35:35 AM

This is like condemning a movie you haven't seen or song you haven't yet heard, and the racism rings through loud and clear! THIS is what is officially known as true prejudice. You have gone to great extremes in prejudging the new First Lady before she's had her first day on the job. With all the real stories out there it would appear that the big racist boss went to the slimy bottom of the barrel for someone special to write this weak hit piece. If you can't do better than this, look for new work.
Good luck at your next job,

  • Posted By: GregSinLA @ 11/30/2008 2:21:17 AM

What a sick racist you are, "Bran." Wow. Such ignorance and name calling. You can't even address her by her correct name. That's really pathetic. And then you criticize her body type and sum it up with a racist jab. Wow. You're really hateful. I bet you go to church every Sunday, too, and think you're a great person in your community. You need to Stop the Hate and get over your bitter self. It's alarming that people like you still wake up every day. It's sad, really.

    • Posted By: miesque @ 11/30/2008 7:19:40 AM

Hey Greg, you're absolutely correct about "Bran." If it walks like a racist and it talks like a racist, . . . it must be a racist. Take heart though, because the only ones who think Bran isn't an ignorant racist bigot are other ignorant racist bigots. No one with any intelligence whatsoever puts any stock in anything he says the minute they realize that he's an uneducated racist. Ignore him, he's not worth bothering about.

  • Posted By: miesque @ 11/30/2008 7:06:56 AM

We live in a 24 hour a day news cycle world and when the media has to "work" to find a real story, they fall short, so they revert to fluff like this "fashionista" story about Michelle Obama. I say, "get a life" to these weak-minded individuals who call themselves reporters.

  • Posted By: yolotamassi @ 11/30/2008 4:26:36 AM

The media is (are) like snapping turtles. Once they get a hold on an idea they won't let go. Remember when Hilary Clinton made front page news every time she changed her hair? In fact I can remember one time they had 8 or 10 pictures spread across the top of the page. I don't remember one word in the article.

  • Posted By: white trash @ 11/30/2008 2:38:01 AM

I crafted a typo. I meant to say and report, " I would NOT trade Michelle's intellect..... for anything as superficial as window dressing and smart fashions. [ Might as well focus on window dressing manequins and all they can afford for the greater good." Sorry about the confusion, but Greg, I really support your thinking. After all, it represents everything that is JFK, Jackie, and Obama and Michele. After all, great minds think alike, right!
