    Funny how it is the States that have been under long-term Democrat "leadership" that have the most severe financial problems. They do like to buy votes with the people's money, though.

    In my city, Baton Rouge, the people haxe voted down a bill which would have raised sales taxes and property taxes to help rebuild necessary infastructure. I wonder who they will blame if the bridges slated for replacement collapse? Or, who will they blame if some of the social services are reduced so the bridges can be replaced? Everyone wants new roads , bridges, sewer systems, but no one wants to foot the bill.

    The magazine, The Economist ,had an article around 2004 that outlined at least 1/3 of the States would behave big budget problems by 2010 even with a strong economy. The States are over spending their revenues. Its that simple.
