I can't believe people wanting to inflict their will upon others when there???s no valid reason. I've heard reference as to God defining marriage as being between one man and one woman as it is a religious requirement.

Funny, but my (female) wife and I (a man) got married in Reno after a stop at city hall for the license then off to the justice of the piece. Indeed we got married and indeed it had nothing to do with religion. When in heck will the few complaining ever get it through their head the majority of humans don't need nor want their God nor any thing relating to such. Hate to hurt your mother's feelings, but that's the way it is.

Tezmark.....what does being gay have to do with religion? - Nothing. Anyway, I am not gay, but I could not care less if gay people are allowed to marry. However, I have noticed that the gay marriage issue, along with many other "contriversial" issues are always reported by the media to have a "growing support", but when a vote is actually cast on the subject, it fails miserably. Is it that the vast majority of people lie in polls, or is it that the media lies about or skews the polls. My money would be on the latter. Just my opinion.

As a gay, tax-paying American all I want is freedom FROM religion. I don't need anyone's acceptance or approval to live my life. I certainly don't need a priest or reverend nor nor a guru nor church nor a god. Isn't that my right and freedom to not give a rat's ass what's in the bible? I simply want the same freedoms and responsibilities as heterosexual, tax-paying Americans. I'm 50-years-old, I don't care what anyone thinks of me, but I care deeply that I have the SAME rights as the rest society. I married my partner in June in San Francisco City Hall, now I'm DEMANDING the rest of the rights that come with marriage in the US.

As a Canadian, same sex marriage has been legal here since 2005. Interestingly the world has not shifted on its axis, and there is very little conversation on the subject. I checked on Google before making this comment, but on 3 different occasions, with 3 different Prime Ministers, this has been debated in the House of Parliament, and the bill which made same sex marriage legal, has been affirmed. If Church and State are truly separate, then there should be no objection to same sex marriage.

The point is that we have so much propaganda that FACTS ARE FORGOTTEN.
You can not compare things that are not equal.
You can not compare the union of a man of a woman to that of a homosexual couple, because they ARE NOT EQUAL TO COMPARE.
The main fact being the biological factor, men and woman's bodies are made to fit together. Men and Men are not. Biologically, it is not a "social construction out of an oppressing patriarchal society" or an idea of a religious zealot.
This is simply biology. If you started smelling from your eyes, or seeing trough your ears, we immediately assume something is not working right with that organ. If a penis does not like, but rejects a vagina, the purpose it was made for, why saying that something is wrong with that organ is a moral judgment instead of A BIOLOGICAL FACT?
It is biologically, abnormal behavior. But this can not be mentioned at all. Propaganda is telling us it is normal, and seeing like it is, is the abnormality!
Second, if from there we say we are not simply biology, but also emotions and feelings, to change laws and a legal system based on them, open many questions.
Why, for example, ban a brother and a sister from marrying, if they feel like it, if they truly love each other, who are we to judge their love? It is their CHOICE.
And by the way, Who are we to judge any other matter of the law, any other behavior? (who says you can not kill?).
They want to change fundamentals of the law without any legal scholar debate, any legal philosophy behind it, just propaganda.

One problem Jack. The prohibitions you describe in the video are Levitican and apply to Jews only. Not gentile Christians of whom only 10 are applied,none of them,Levitican. Jack goes through a ''Jesus also said''. Very well. This is ''also''what Jesus said[as we are applying this to the Christians that are the targets of this video].

pro-gay critics avow that Jesus does not speak of ''homosexuality''. But he does speak,quite specifically,of marriage,and who will be its constituants. In this place does the debate lie.

Even an atheist anthropologist would have a tough time explaining this.
