Pakistan bacame epicenter of terrorism. You name a terror organization and it has links to Pakistan. You name a terror strike anywhere in the world, it has Pak connections. Pak Army and ISI are directly involved in Terrorism. So what do yuo expect from this country? US should block the IMF loan and stop military assistance. That is all need to sqeeze Pakistan and put them in line.

Pakistan needs a structural change in its governance and the recent events have exposed the power struggle within Pakistan. The Pakistan Army is independent with its own source of income making it less dependent on the civilian Government.
US, China and Saudi Arabia need to play a a key role in reshaping the power structure of Pakistan. The general public in Pakistan wants changes in its governance and with the help of these nations Pakistan should reshape their constitution and government structures. I think something similar to MacArthur policy in Japan after WWII is needed for Pakistan

John Michael McConnell, the United States Director of National Intelligence, in a speech at Harvard University, soon after Mumbai massacre said that the same group responsible for the 2006 Mumbai train bombings was behind Mumbai attack of 2008.

The strategy of Pak army / ISI has stood on one solid single pillar- PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY. This time in Mumbai they messed up in the execution and have been caught red handed. They had gotten away so many times.

Contrary to some popular rumors, desperately held false hopes among Pakistanis the issue will not go away anytime soon. Mumbai terrorist attack is not an India-Pakistan issue, but an international one. India is going to blow hot and cold with revelations and media releases, to keep it going; and the international community is likely to go along with India and demand action from Pakistan. The book prescribed for higher secondary students makes no mention of the uprising in East Pakistan in 1971 or the surrender by more than 90,000 Pakistani soldiers. Instead, it claims, "In the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the Pakistan armed forces created new records of bravery and the Indian forces were defeated everywhere."

The students of Class 3 are taught that "Muhammad Ali (Jinnah) felt that Hindus wanted to make Muslims their slaves and since he hated slavery, he left the Congress". At another place it says, "The Congress was actually a party of Hindus. Muslims felt that after getting freedom, Hindus would make them their slaves."

And this great historic discovery is taught to Std V students, "Previously, India was part of Pakistan."

Commenting on this literature that spreads hate, leading Pakistani educationist Tariq Rahman wrote, "It is a fact that the textbooks cannot mention Hindus without calling them cunning, scheming, deceptive or something equally insulting. Students are taught and made to believe that Pakistan needs strong and aggressive policies against India or else Pakistan will be annihilated by it."

The officially prescribed textbooks, especially for school students, are full of references that promote hate against India in general, and Hindus in particular.

A cursory glance at Pakistani school textbooks - especially the compulsory subjects like Pakistan studies and social studies - gives an idea of how history has been distorted and a garbled version prescribed to build this mindset and attitude.

The objective of Pakistan's education policy has been defined thus in the preface to a Class 6 book: "Social studies have been given special importance in educational policy so that Pakistan's basic ideology assumes the shape of a way of life, its practical enforcement is assured, the concept of social uniformity adopts a practical form and the whole personality of the individual is developed." This statement leaves no doubt that "social uniformity", not national unity, is a part of Pakistan's basic ideology.

The Class 5 book has this original discovery about Hindu help to bring British rule to India: "The British had the objective to take over India and to achieve this, they made Hindus join them and Hindus were very glad to side with the British. After capturing the subcontinent, the British began on the one hand the loot of all things produced in this area, and on the other, in conjunction with Hindus, to greatly suppress the Muslims."

The Std VIII book says, "Their (Muslim saints) teachings dispelled many superstitions of the Hindus and reformed their bad practices. Thereby Hindu religion of the olden times came to an end."

On Indo-Pak wars, the books give detailed descriptions and openly eulogize ???jihad' and ???shahadat' and urge students to become ???mujahids' and martyrs and leave no room for future friendship and cordial relations with India.

According to a Class 5 book, "In 1965, the Pakistani army conquered several areas of India, and when India was on the point of being defeated, she requested the United Nations to arrange a ceasefire. After 1965, India, with the help of Hindus living in East Pakistan, instigated the people living there against the people of West Pakistan, and finally invaded East Pakistan in December 1971. The conspiracy resulted in the separation of East Pakistan from us. All of us should receive military training and be prepared to fight the enemy."

I find Indians are more racist than a lot of white europeans. The worst aspect being that a lot of Hindu's will use muslim soundind names as their post names, how pathetic. Indians cry wolf all the time, why is the Indian terrorist state murdering and raping people in Kashmir. Where is the democratic rights of the Kashmiri people, but then the 700,000 Indian troops will determine what the rights of the Kashmiri's are. I am sick and tired of hearing Indians whinge about others attacking them , when they know too well the kind of atrocities committed by the Indian state in Kashmir, Nagaland, Assam and Bihar. If you do not believe me then refer to Amnesty International, who have catalogued the number of gang rapes of Kashmiri womed by Indian soldoers( NOT ONE SOLDIER HAS BEEN TO COURT FOR THAT), how pathetic . Then what can be expected of a nation like India where an upper caste hindu can rape a woman from a low caste, and get away with it. If you really want to see evil at work then it surely must be the caste system in India, where a persons status is based on his birth into a particular family as opposed to his/her capabilities. This is the same India that sided with the USSR in its invasion of Afghanistan, which resulted in a million Afghans dying. This India has excellent working and business relationship with the evil regime in Burma, whre people are fighting for their democratic rights against a military hunta. In India the murder of minorities is a state approved policy. The thousands od Sikhs murdered in India(after the assasination of Indira Ghandhi), the government stood by. The murder of muslims in gujarat, while the state minister Mr.Modi made sure the state helped the murderers. Were the hindus of Gujarat disgusted with his behaviour? ofcourse they were, thats why they voted him for another term. The BJP heirarchy took part in the destruction of the Babri mosque, and then they won the election, along the way thousands of ordinary muslims were murdered.

Zardari announced ISI to be under PM control, but within a week the poor guy had to reverse his orders as Army doesn't want any civilian to know that ISI actually is helping terrorists in Afghanistan and elsewhere. Jammu and Kashmir: A Multi-Ethnic State
Contrary to most reports in the media, Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) is not a state where only Kashmiri Muslims live. It is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious state with 64% Muslims, 33% Hindus, and 3% Buddhists, Sikhs, Christians and others. There are three distinct geographical regions - Ladakh (with 58% of the area, and 3% of the population), Jammu (26% area, 45% population) and Kashmir (16% area, 52% population: of which over 90 % of the region's minorities, i.e. 3% of the state's total population have been driven out). The primary languages of Ladakh are Ladakhi and Balti, of Jammu: Dogri, and of Kashmir: Kashmiri. In addition, Gujari, Pahari, Punjabi, Shina and various dialects and mixed languages are also spoken by different ethnic groups within the state.

Fifteen per cent of the state's Muslims live in the provinces of Jammu and Ladakh . They are non-Kashmiris, and by and large, they stand behind J&K's association with India. (There are a few small exceptions in some towns of Doda district). Of the state's 49% who reside in the Kashmir province, about 13% are Shia Muslims. Shia Muslims do not wish to have anything to do with Sunni-dominated Pakistan, knowing full well the fate that awaits them there. (Just recently, an Oct 4, Hindustan Times report cited Pakistan's Shoora Wahdat-i-Islami who condemned what it called the genocide of Shias in Pakistan.) This is especially true of the Shias of Kargil who know of the poverty and degradation experienced by their ethnic siblings in Baltistan, a part of Pakistan occupied Kashmir referred to as the "Northern Areas".

Also fyi....In 1947, Hindus constituted 20-30% of the population in the geographic area that constitutes the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN? How many Hindus live now??? less than one percent!!!!

"Tolerance" of the Islamic republic of Pakistan is for every one to see!! NO QUESTION OF HANDING OVER MORE TERRITORY.

Also, Pakis never tire of talking about the plight of Indian Muslims. Who is repsonsible for the pitiable state of Paki muslims?? You had a "free country", look what you accomplised in 61 years. Utter embarassment. Also Indians wish 15% of "Pakistan" had stayed Hindu and wish there were Hindu movie stars, Hindu missile scientists, Hindu Ambassadors representing Pakistan. Since none of the above applies, India will fight out Pakis, WILL NOT REDRAW maps in Kashmir. It is better to fight the jihad in Kasmir rather than in New Delhi.

The Indian subcontinent hosts hundreds of ethnicities, speaking 1000 languages and practicing all the religions in God's earth. There are linguistic ethnic groups- Sindhis, Gujaratis, Bengalis, Maratis, Pathans, Punhabis, Tamil, Telugus,Kashmiris ...the list is long. The only ethnic, linguistic group in the subcontinent that constitutes a separate country is Bangladhesh- born out of the genocide of THREE MILLION Bengali muslims perpetrated by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on fellow muslims.

Kashmiri muslims wanting a separate country seems to have born out of sense of entitlement out of events of partition, UN resolutions, etc. Either that or it is born out of the special racial supremacy the Kashmiri muslims feel. In either case another intolerant country based on religious exclusivity right next to Afghanistan and Pakistan is the last thing the subcontinent needs. These muslims have unleashed genocide on Kashmiri Hindus and expelled them from their homland where they had lived thousands of years. Buddhists in Ladakh, Hindus and Sikhs in Jammu fear another jiahdi terrorist state of "Islamic Republic of Kashmir". Thus there is no question of redrawing maps.

The priorities are - control of religion based terrorism, as waged by Kashmir "freedom movement" should be completely eliminated Once this is achieved LOC could be liberalised. Other genuine grievances of Kasmiri muslims could be fullfilled without redrawing of India's current borders which in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Impartial democratic elections should be held in POK, where India can help. No need to erect new Berlin walls!!!

p.s As a peace gesture Pakistan should rename its portion of Kashmir as POK, the current name of "Azad Kashmir" is misleading. This will be the first step towards peace.
