The reality is no problem can be uprooted until the root causes aren't identified and once you know the source of the problem then a so;ution seems imminent . If India and Pakistan have been at dragger's drawn for half a century is nothing but the Disputed Territory of Kashmir. The problem needs to be solved on priority basis , but if on one hand Pakistan has shown urgency for the solution of the dispute India on the other side refuses to even discuss the issue.Although , there have been numerous UN resolutions calling for a plebiscite in Kashmir , which means giving the Kashmiri people the right to decide which country they want to accede , but what blocks this most democratic and elegant proposal of the UN , is the country which claims itself the biggest democracy.

By not implementing this resolution INDIA accepts , that the people of Kashmir are going to vote infavour Pakistan incase a plebiscite is held. And to this day 800,000 indian tropps remain stationed in Kashmir more than even the total strength of the Pakistan Army. This deployment has resulted in the death of 80,000 innocent Kashmiris with numerous captured or missing under Indian captivity.

When you allow a conflict to linger on donot accept even the most modest resolution then you should be ready to face reaction.The british govt. too kept on ignoring the Irish Republican Army while it kept on attacking England.Nobody dumped the IRA as the christian terrorists and later the govt, had to accept their demands.
