umm horrible bastard.... i dont believe humans and dinosuars ....your thinking sarah palin...who i voted against
im 21...im tech savvy and yea im part of that so called new college generation....but even i know the difference between right and wrong....i live in california ...in la pretty close to west hollywood...i see the gay agenda firsthand.
it will never stop...today they want to get married...tomorrow they want gay male child birth thru technology......adoption rights and so forth
homosexual relationships are not well functioning families they never will be its just psychologically not possible....yet they have that "anything you can do i can do" attitude which inevitable through their selfish greed will bring children into the picture....i dont think any child deserves to live a life raised in a perversion of every religion worldwide.
pretty much dooming him from the start....sure im a liberal
but my party has long been hijacked by gay rights and illegal immigration advocates....
both those political groups have questionable motives and at most times have arguements that are simply full of ***....used to force their will on the masses....
its a damn shame....
"sure im a liberal"
No, you aren't. A liberal believes in civil liberties for everyone, with the proviso that nobody is intrinisically harmed by said civil liberties (which is why, despite freedom of religion laws, human sacrifice is illegal in both of our nations). You don't.
Oh! The BIBLE!
Fred: Hey Marge! If you give me $20 and say "HAil Froggy" every morning, and only have sex with me or your boyfriend, then, when you die, you'll get all the hot dogs you could ever eat.
Marge: How do you know that?
Fred: The Great Frog said that.
Marge: The Great Frog? Frogs can talk?
Fred: This one can.
Marge: But how do you know the Great Frog is telling the truth?
Fred: I wrote it down, right here.
Marge: Who told you?
Fred: The Great Frog. All HAIL the GREAT FROG!
Marge: (Looking around for a big frog.) Can I talk to the frog?
Fred: Heresy! (slaps Marge) It's the GREAT FROG!
Marge: (meekly) Can I talk to THE GREAT FROG?!
Fred: No. Only I can hear and see Him.
Marge: Here's $20.
I think Newsweek is no longer interested in honesty and equity in journalism and reporting. There are two sides to this debate, and to the Proposition 8 effort. All I have heard of late from this magazine is trash written by gay activists maligning "religious people", misrepresenting and misinterpreting the Bible, and deriding our values and beliefs.
I haven't seen Newsweek print an article applauding our grass roots efforts to get proposition 8 passed. A lot of people sacrificed time, effort, and their own personal finances to bring that amendment to the California constitution to pass. The fact that it passed was the will of the PEOPLE of the state, not the decision of some judge bent on legislating from the bench.
I'm sick of the agenda of this magazine and the gay activist journalists turning out rabble rousing articles and comparing themselves to the civil rights movement. I'm calling today to cancel my subscription to Newsweek, and plan on never visiting this website again. I encourage anyone else who is tired of this magazine calling evil good and good evil to do the same.
"I haven't seen Newsweek print an article applauding our grass roots efforts to get proposition 8 passed."
Correct. Come to think of it, I haven't seen them applaud other religious bigots, either (the Taliban, Iran's Mullahs, etc).
How awful of them.
Horrible- Get a clue just because we take a stand on an issue we feel strongly about, just as you seem to feel in favor. To call us all bigots is extremely short sided.
"Horrible- Get a clue just because we take a stand on an issue we feel strongly about, just as you seem to feel in favor. To call us all bigots is extremely short sided."
If you feel strongly in favor of bigotry, I shall call you a bigot. Sorry about that.
Oh yes, we must congratulate you for being able to mobalize and strip a group of a civil right. That's something you are so justly right to be proud of. Wouldn't be be wonderful if the Aryan Nations and KKK figured out exactly what you did right to help with their own efforts. Maybe you could hold a tutorial.
Its not just about money people, its about equality. Married heterosexual couples don't even realize the amount of privileges they carry with that marriage certificate. For example, if my partner gets sick and goes to the hospital, the hospital can deny me visits or information because we are not "family" in the eyes of the law so they don't have to give me any information. Imagine the person that you've built a life with for the last 20 years gets in a car accident and you rush to the hospital, just wanting to know if they are alive or dead or what and no one will tell you. Can you even begin to imagine what that feels like? Oh, the trick to empathy is having feelings so most of you people who are so upset about the idea of gay marriage probably aren't going to be able to accomplish this.
And why are you so upset about gay marriage anyway when it doesn't affect your privileged, heterosexual marriage? No one is going to take anything away from you. Is it that it makes you feel that much more powerful in that eight year old bully on the playground "I have something you don't have" kind of way? I just don't understand why you are so threatened. And quit hiding behind the bible already, that gets old.
While there are wars killing our brothers and sisters, while there are children in our neighborhoods going to school hungry, while there are women who are being brought into this country to be used as sex slaves, while there are millions of people fighting to keep their homes and jobs, why are you putting so much effort into fighting against people who just want to love each other? We're at a time in history when we could all use a little more love. Even you.
Lexus2lovr:
If it is a chosen lifestyle, then you had a choice, too. When did you make the choice NOT to be gay??? Yeah, just what I thought, we don't choose either!
I am sorry you feel that way. But the truth of the matter is, what you've decided IS a chosen lifestyle. I chose to be as God created me to be, my place in this world is with a man, not with a woman. I am fulfilling what God created me do, be a wife and a mother and to obey HIS word and OBEY His commandments. If you will get your bible, you will read in Leviticus what God has to say about homosexuality and lesbianism. Again, it's not that I choose to be this, I am OBEYING God's word and so can you.
"If you will get your bible, you will read in Leviticus what God has to say about homosexuality and lesbianism."
If you are so convinced with what the scriptures say, why are you taking part in this debate? Shouldn't you be silent, and allow the men to argue the point?
Or do you only apply the parts of the bible that justify your petty little hate?
Oh forget Leviticus, there is so much crap in there and the rest of the bible, IE women are property, men can have multiple wives, men can beat their wives, one much not shave their facial, one must not wear mixed / unnatural fibers (how many poly blends do you own?), one must not eat shellfish.
So Lexus2lovr, who are you to do preach adn decide what is followed and what is not followed? Because clearly you not follow the part about not judging others, but I guess that is ok, because clearly one get a seat at the side of God if they ignore everything in the bible (a book written by men) except what an extremely outdated and quite unrelated section, to everything else in there, tells them to do.
Read the entire thing and follow the entire thing, before you open your mouth and cut others down. Once you that we can talk, until, stop blowing all the hot air!
I've had gay friends and have considered the lifestyle. I think the thought has crossed everyone's mind because it's human curiosity. I intentionally choose not to be gay. And yes, you can too. Sometimes living a righteous life requires some effort....
Humans do not choose who they find themselves sexually attracted to, it comes naturally.
I totally agree with you
It's better to be gay b/c you understand the your own gener moar than the other, and your not overpopulating the earth
Humans do no get to choose who they are physically attracted to, it comes naturally. You cannot "consider" being gay, it doesn't work that way. Either you are attracted to people of the opposite sex (straight), same sex (gay) or both (bi-sexual).

So, you've chosen to repress your true nature, Yupster? To me, that is a fundamental dishonesty that you choose in order to conform to your chosen religion. Like Larry Craig or Ted Haggard -- and who knows how many thousands or millions of others in this century alone -- you choose to live a lie in order to conform. It is "easier" on the surface to play the expected role at the expense of being true to yourself. Or perhaps you are a natural bi-sexual who can actually choose? At any rate, I hope you are happy with your choice. Most gay people do NOT believe it is a choice -- and isn't it really up to them?
Humans do not choose who they find themselves sexually attracted to, it comes naturally.
Humans do not choose who they find themselves sexually attracted to, it comes naturally.
For all of those who are quoting the few lines of the Bible regarding homosexuality as justifcation for your prejudice, let's see how many of you are actually following ALL of the laws laid out in Levidicus. Do you wear only garments made from single fibers and not mixed (poly-cotton blends are out)? Do you keep kosher? Do you cut your hair and beard in the proscribed manner? If you are a woman, are your ritually cleansed after menstruation and childbirth? If you are a man, have you ever touched or had sex with your wife while she was menstruating? If your child speaks disrepectfully to do, is he stoned to death? Do you keep slaves?
According to Leviticus 11:10 "But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you." So anyone who's ever chowed down on a shrimp cocktail or a plate of fried calimari has committed as great a "sin" as a homosexual act. Per Levidicus 11:7 "and the swine, though it divides the hoff, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cut, is unclean to you." So all of those nice pulled pork sandwiches that you've enjoyed are a ticked straight to hell.
Please don't try to use the bible as a mallet against homosexuals unless you are following ALL of the laws prescribed. Someone very smart said once that the bible has 6 admonishments against homosexuals, but 362 admonishments towards heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals - He just thinks they need more supervision.
Thank you. A letter to the editor in today's Ft. Worth Star Telegram demonstrates the challenges we face against the organized opposition of the churches of America. Their ignorance is frightening. And the fact that they are trying to make us all live like them is intollerable.
Do me a favor and stop justifying your aberration by pulling the "old trick" of Leviticus. The fact is that homosexuality is a perversion of human behavior that refuses to accept his/her God given gender. The New Testament is also very clear about this degenerate belief that that makes people belive they can "switch sexes" while pretending to be the opposite gender.
We don't owe you anythig pal. If you want to do it, do it, but don't deman special privileges. When did it become a law that abominations must be legalized?
Now, go ahead and call me names. That's where you guys/gals excel the most.. LOL
The New Testament is not at all clear about this.
What is clear is that we are charged with loving each other.
No, we are charged with loving those of the OPPOSITE SEX, which from a Darwinistic and religious perspective , makes sense.
Don't ask society to put its stamp of approval on your sordid acts. It is no better than adultery .
Two responses, and yet somehow I still missed the wonderful irony of your post: let's use Darwinism (whatever that is supposed to mean) to prove a point about the Bible. That's a pretty novel approach I think. You should either be congratulated or stoned to death, depending on which church you attend.
BTW, adultery is legal.
It's part of what we call civil liberty.
I happen to be a straight married man - not that I'm without any sordid acts of course - and the New Testament is clearly about creating a world of love for all mankind.
Grab a "topical index" sometime. There are 40 times more verses admonishing us to love each other than there are that say anything about homosexuality, sodomy, perversion, and every other topic that you might group into a condemnation of gays.
There are 40 times more verses about love than homosexuality, and that doesn't even measure the verses on faith or hope, neither of which is based on hating gays.
The New Testament is about loving everyone - but me and all gays, apparently, from your post.
"No, we are charged with loving those of the OPPOSITE SEX, which from a Darwinistic and religious perspective , makes sense. "
So Jesus never said "love one another"? Is that your final answer?
"Don't ask society to put its stamp of approval on your sordid acts. It is no better than adultery ."
Nobody cares about your approval, mate. Your personal opinion on the subject is utterly valueless, as will be demonstrated by the upcoming CA supreme court case. Nothing personal, but who would place any value on the opinion of a bigot who claims to speak for all of society?
You mean privileges like estate management, adoption, or something as simple as a joint account.
As far as name calling where you hoping for Bible-thumping, minority hatin', cousin marring, God fearing republican.
How about I just call you "Billy Bob".
So, what is the "God given gender" of hermaphrodites? XXYs? XYYs? XOs?
"Do me a favor and stop justifying your aberration by pulling the "old trick" of Leviticus."
So, you get to pick and choose God's law, I see.

I sure as hell do, tyvm.
American Express' payment office is in Salt Lake City. They are very very rich. I'm glad the Mormons are using the interest for a good cause.
Actually Amy American Express and the interest they earn has nothing to do with the Mormon Church. Just an FYI
This is DISGUSTING!!! First of all, why should gays be given special rights when millions of hardworking, decent American people are struggling for everyday survival?!! Secondly, why are gay groups claiming that they are 'tolerant' of others who disagree with them, and then turning around and threatening American citizens, including the Mormans, and other churches, who are led by the Word and their conscience, as to how they voted. Thridly, since gay groups seem to view this as a religion, why aren't they being investigated for possible racketeering charges like society condems Christians? Fourthly, why aren't they being investigated as 'gay' as a possible religion? If they have 501 tax-free status, and they harass others, then why aren't they held to the same standards that Christians are held to when someone 'feels' threatened? Fiifthly, it is pure COWARDICE for gays to claim that they face the same discrimination as blacks and other ethnic groups. If they faced that much discrimination, then why do gays have all the high-paying jobs? Pure BS. Finally, this may be crude, but since gays don't seem to have much tolerance for those who differ with them, they need to take their attitudes, their money, their posessions, and themselves to another country that would welcome them!
The Mormons have been exposed, and they cannot hide now. Their contributions to hate are on public record. I thought they'd started on a more positive path when they stopped torturing their own gay teens with brutal "therapies" in pseudo-medical facilities, like electroshock aversion therapies and ice baths. Now they have simply shifted their tactics, and even crossed a state line to bomb the polls in California with Utah money. A bright light is being shone on their actions, and it's about time.
You've just exposed yourself as the racist you are. The Mormon Church is NOT the majority who voted YES on Prop 8.
"I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman." ~ President elect Barack Obama
Those of us who BELIEVE in HOPE & CHANGE pity you and will pray for you.
Wait, wait, wait; how can one be racist when it is pointed out that a church, a tax exempt organization, uses money to push a political agenda, some a tax exempt organization cannot do legally? Playing that ghetto race card a little early aren't you pal.
"The Mormon Church is NOT the majority who voted YES on Prop 8."
No, they just funded the hate messages prior to the ballot.
No, they paid for political ads EXACTLY LIKE gay activists paid for political ads. More Black Americans voted YES on Prop 8 than Mormons, and you rightfully fear Black Americans more than Mormons because you know what will happen.
Pull that activist gay anger crap on some brothers, and the only thing getting to the hospital before you will be the headlights of the ambulance you're in.
Just accept what our President elect has said, and move on.
"Pull that activist gay anger crap on some brothers, and the only thing getting to the hospital before you will be the headlights of the ambulance you're in."
Some "brothers"?
Because they are not suppressed by the other to be a house wife.
Seems just logical as what you posted.
"then why do gays have all the high-paying jobs? "
What? LOL.
k
" First of all, why should gays be given special rights when millions of hardworking, decent American people are struggling for everyday survival?!! "
1. What "special rights" are they asking for?
2. How does their getting married keep you from getting by?
No one is remotely suggesting that being gay is a "religion". We simply would like to have the same marriage rights as all others, the right to legally join in union with someone of the same sex and receive the same benefits as other married individuals. No "special rights" have or are being requested. We simply want equal marriage rights and while pure descrimination may not take place there is always that subtle "you are less than" inference when people know you are gay. Quite frankly I don't care for heterosexuals and am constantly disgusted by the flagrant heterosexual advertisements in print, on the radio and on television but I don't go around treating heterosexuals with less than the respect I would so to any stranger on the street. It's disgusting that we have to legislate the marriage issue. If you don't like same sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex....it's that simple. It all comes down to affording ALL people the same rights.
tl;dr
Special rights? You mean the right not to be fired for no other reason than being gay? The right not to be discriminated against in housing because you are lesbian? The right to marry the person of your choice? The right to have your life-long partner visit you in the hospital and make decisions about your funeral? The right to have the same inheritance and taxation benefits enjoyed by other families? The right to pursue happiness in the Land of the Free? Which of those rights is "special"?
Wow Michelle, Get your Burkah and Get a ticket to Afghanistan. Since when iis it special rights to receive the basic rights stated in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence? Asking to be equal is not asking to be special. Committting a crime is GIVING UP your rights. Thats why X offenders have to work harder. How old are you Michelle? 15 years old? 50 years ago it was illegal in most states for Blacks and Whites to Marry...It will DESTROY MARRIAGE AS WE KNOW IT!! What is so different for homosexuals?? Gays deserve the same rights to Marry, Divorce, Pay Child Support, battle the courts for child custody etc..... Grow up Michelle. If you took religion out of the Equation... there would be no reason for Gays not to marry. I support their movement with all my heart. I feel it is an abomination to the american way of life for these states to put discrimination in ther state Constitutions!
Michelle must be talking about the "special" rights granted to the heterosexuals that we're trying to steal away from them. Because obviously the gays don't just want to get married, they want everyone to be gay so the whole world dies out in a single generational ambush. Come on.
PS - the gay movement has a whole lot in common with the black movement. Blacks had it far worse, but discrimination is discrimination. We've been beaten and pepper-sprayed, abused by police, hung up on trees, and beaten to death. We've had derogatory terms shouted at us on the streets, in school, even at home - with no reaction from authorities. No minority group should be trying to play king-of-the-pity mountain. Rights are rights.
Gays don't have a community like other minority groups (i.e. we pop up in all socioeconomic groups; we don't necessarily have gay parents or gay kids), which is why it's so hard to organize.
And the religious people on here bashing gays are committing a far greater sin than gays, by being judgmental, spiteful, hateful and greedy in the name of God.
And what race are you? I'm sure that there are more than a few people out there who have deep seated prejudice against your race/religion/nationality and would very happily hand you a one way plane ticket out of the US. How pathetic is it that you can say with a straight face that because homosexuals haven't faced as much discrimination as other groups that this is grounds for them not having full civil rights? Do we only give rights as payback for past injustice? And since it looks as if the Morman church violated the law regarding their actions over Prop 8, they certainly deserve a little picketted. If a church that I am not a member of tried to get a law passed in an underhanded way that curtails MY rights, I would certainly be standing outside with a bullhorn and making their lives miserable. Freedom of speech goes both ways, baby.
Obama is a bigot.
Gay marriage is for fags.
I did not know that a pack of smokes could marry and not happy homosexuals.
Oh, you're a quick one.
Literally! But also for lesbians. I can't figure out if Timstertim is a rank homophobe or just a hip gay guy who wants to overstate the obvious for dramatic effect. In either case, thanks for understanding.
Back to the Newsweek article: above all, it illustrated that there is not just one Christian attitude toward homosexuality and gay marriage. It could have been stronger, though, if it had called upon leading pro-gay clergy and theologians. Also, it could have taken the opportunity to strongly delineate the fundamental differences between religious marriage and civil marriage. Understanding that distinction alone could set this country on the right tract toward equality for all its citizens, gay or straight, religious or not.
And for gay people.
Boycott Obama today. He's against civil rights for all. He's fighting against gay marriage. He just wants them to have civil unions. Write a letter to him. Do something, he is our president, yet he believes in a traditional marriage, not a gay one. Don't just pick on the Mormon church, an organization used historically as a scapegoat. Go after someone who will change something. Get some balls gay community. Or keep denying that beloved Obama doesn't support your lifestyle either, because of his Christian beliefs. Yes, he is a crazy Christian as well and believes in an unseen God. And went to a crazy black evangelical church in Chicago. He has the same beliefs as many Mormons. Protest the white house, do what you can, we can't let intolerance live in the highest political office in the country. Remind him of the black civil rights movement, and see how he responds.
To: whaterver77 - How can you compare homosexuality with stealing or killing? Yes, I was born gay. No I didn't choose to be this way. Who in their right mind will choose this life where discrimination, hate and ignorance are daily things we have to deal with? What kind of God do you believe in? Is certainly not the one I belive in. My God, which I call Jesus Christ loves me for who I am.
No, you were NOT born that way. That is the lifestyle YOU CHOSE to live. God is not a God that makes mistakes and when he created man and woman, he created them perfectly to fit each other. There was no man and man and certainly no woman and woman. YOU decided to live this way, anytime you decide this is NOT the lifestyle that you wish to live, you can leave it at ANYTIME you choose. God is a forgiving God and all you have to do is turn to Him for forgivness and abstain from this type of behavior. So please, don't say you were born this way, that's a lie from the depths of hell for sure. God loves you and he wants all who've chosen this type of lifestyle to turn against it and to never go that way again. God is a GOOD God, but he HATES sin.
No one ever chooses to be gay. Homosexuality is not a choice. The only lie is from people like you who continue to try and convince others they can chose their sexual orientation.
Really, ok then why don't I hide the fact that I'm only sexually attracted to members of my same-sex (men) and suppress these feelings. Then I will go out, pretend that I was born a heterosexual, meet your daughter and marry her. Imagine how happy I can make her considering the idea of having sex with her will be forced and repulsive to me. Is this what you want?
And you are right - Jesus does love you and wants you to repent, same as me.
The point was, it is a sin - same as any other. People keep trying to argue that it is not, but it is - a sinful desire that must be fought like any other sinful desire. We all sin, but most of us don't try to deny that what we did is wrong.
My God and saviour Jesus loves you and will continue to love you beyond what you can imagine regardless of what you do or believe.
But one of the issues with homosexuality is exactly what you state - and it's a complete lack of accountability for your choices. You were born with the privilege of making choices, and you're choosing to be gay. You were not born gay, and no, it's not proven in the way you'd like to believe to support your sinful actions.
Homosexuality, regardless of male or female is WRONG. God did not intend for this type of CHOSEN lifestyle and it is a lifestyle that is chosen, no one is born with nothing that makes them behave in this manner, it is a CHOSEN lifestyle and as the Bible says, "Man cannot lay down with man as with woman, it is an ABOMINATION, and woman cannot lay down with woman as with man, it is CONFUSSION" I don't dislike anyone who's chosen this lifestyle, I feel sorry for them that they've made a decision to disregard what God has said and is ignoring the TRUTH....
Homosexuality is not a choice. The more you repeat this obvious lie the worse you sound.
Okay, I'm gonna be serious for a moment here. Let me tell you about a game I play called World of Warcraft. In that game, the developers are pretty much the gods of the World of Warcraft, being able to add and delete content pretty much at will. Now, if some player somehow exploits a huge bug in the game that the developers did not intend to be there, they fix it. That's called efficiency. Now, if God can't fix his own bugs in his own system, he's just a bad developer, and if he wants homosexuality gone, he should release a patch for the world.
And don't say that Judgement Day is a patch. That's more of an expansion.
You have to love the irony of "lexus lover" telling us all how to be good Christians though, dontcha?
Hint: sell your Lexus and give the money to the poor. Then change your nick to "Jesus1lover". Maybe then you will grow that leg to stand on.
I just sprayed tea all over my monitor. Thanks for the laugh.
I think its horribly sad and disgusting that people are still fighting for equal rights in this country, and are being persecuted. This country is here because people fled to its safety to avoid persecution, and what do our citizen get? Persecution and separation. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and have the same rights reguardless of race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. This country needs to take a good look inthe mirror and change its ways.
That's our fault. We dropped all of our puritans on your shores a few hundred years back, and that's been a millstone around your neck ever since.
Gay marriage proposals have been put on the ballot of 30 states, by my count, and has gone down in flames 30 times.
The people have spoken.
Not for long jimbo3800 >>>>I will give your so called morality one or two more years >> maybe not even that.
Dream on. Your gay agenda is being stopped in its tracks. You couldn't even win in California, the land of fruits (no pun intended) and nuts. If you can't win there, you can't win anywhere.
Down in flames. Or, as you probably prefer, going down flamingly.
My poor jimbo3800 >> "or is it Bimbo" >>you are so devoured in your self hate. I feel sorry for you, you are probably another Senator Larry Craig. (in the closet and the men's room)
Larry Craig not your type of homosexual?
No not my type, but i'm sure he is yours. (maybe you & jimbo can get together too) you seem to be two of a kind.
President elect Obama does not think much of your type either: "I'm a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue, I do believe that tradition, and my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman."
Marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman. YES on Prop 8. WE WIN YOU LOSE. Sux to be you.
When society stands by and allows a minority to have it's rights striped from them by a vote of the majority everyone loses... so Yes on Prop 8 means YOU lose too. Just remember Roy Rogers, someday YOU may be in the minority and it may be YOUR rights that disappear.
"Marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman. YES on Prop 8. WE WIN YOU LOSE. Sux to be you."
We'll see, when the CA supreme court has had its say.
You are both bigots. Neither of you have the least bit of respect for the other's views; you shamelessly name call and sling mud at the other. It's time to grow up and act like responsible adults having educated and rational conversations. Offer arguments with evidence, not insults. You should both be ashamed of yourselves.
Thank you. Just because I do not agree with someone on an issue does not automatically make one of us a"bigot" or "flaming" or "devoured by self hate." When arguments are based on name calling and hate, they are not debates and nothing is accomplished, other than both sides further digging in their heels. Personally, I don't agree with "gay marriage." I have no issue with civil unions or other such ceremonies. And my opinion is not based on hate or bigotry. It is simply my opinion, based upon my definition of "marriage." And my definition might not be the same as yours, and that is fine. Agree to disagree. But good grief, when a discussion begins with name calling, especially the names being thrown out on the comment board, there are no productive discussions.
You are both bigots. Stop name calling and instead sit down and have a RATIONAL argument. It's time to grow up. At least have some respect for other people's beliefs, even if you do not agree with them. It's arguments like these that truly sadden me. Both of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

yes, b/c generations dont change at all do they
I agree SIN is SIN, in the eyes of God and Heaven. It's wrong no matter what you think. It's NOT love, it's not anything akin to civil rights or being Black or handicapped. Choosing a lifestyle that is totally against what God has said does not come without a hefty penalty. And that penality is death and hell. God created man and woman for each other, that's why we fit together the way we do. God intended our sex to be no just for enjoyment BUT for PROCREATION. There is not a man alive who can impregnate another man, or a woman who can impregnate another woman. This is why God has called man and man an ABOMINATION and woman and woman CONFUSSION, these things ought not to be. But it's the devils way for having some people fulfilling the lust of the flesh. Does God still love those who pratice this type of lifestyle? YES HE DOES! Just as he loves us one and all, BUT our SINS are a filthy stinch in his nostrels. ALL SIN is wrong to God.
"Choosing a lifestyle that is totally against what God has said does not come without a hefty penalty."
And you nasty little religious freaks are just the ones to dole it out, yes?
then why doesnt god just send the sin to hell and not the sinner?
Sin? That is an artificial construct used by some religions to make people conform -- even people not of the same religions! When it comes to public policy, sin has absolutely no place. Let it guide religious marriage and other customs, but it is useless in defining human rights in a pluralistic society.
