What a hack. Stewart and Colbert watchers didn't NEED to search on google. Most of the intelligent life on the planet already knows to just go straight to the comedy channel sites for The Daily Show and Colbert, only members of the Flat Earth Society, republican hack writers and folks still living in the stone age would need to actually search to find them. Duh.
And why the sour grapes placement of the dumbest political candidate in history and LOSER of the election as headline?
The only headline on her from this point on should be the one on the last page in the smallest type possible that says "Whats her name reaches highest level of lost popularity and obscurity in history". Just let her go.

I hope someone has made this comment already, but just in case they haven't--this is probably one of the worst cases of burying the lede I've seen in months, maybe this year.

Bottom of 2nd paragraph: In absolute terms, however, "Obama" was the most popular search term on Google for this year.

But Sarah Palin --who lost and is an idiot besides garners the title the lead paragraph and most of the second for 'gaining' on the first. The writer --who apparently just finished interviewing a sycophant for the world's single stupidest philosopher, Ayn Rand has released this hack piece that buries the lede. Geez, B. Sheridan, what's your day job? Serving coffee and donuts at the American Heritage Institute? I could write a better--more balanced-- piece in my sleep.

The U.S. Government does NOT belong in the automobile industry! What is wrong with our elected officials who have added pay raises for judges to the legislation? Let the judges wait for their pay raises and let the auto industry file for bankruptsey like any other business in dire straights. STOP THE BAILOUT!!

I can hardly wait until Palin runs for President,
She can rent a football stadium set up a podium in the center and while she talks about reform, goats, chickens, pigs, turkeys, small deer and perhaps a moose or two can be released and slaughtered by guys resembling Joe the plumber armed with any number of sharp and pointed instruments in the field around the podium gladiator style.
Yep she will bring a new look to politics and to American given the chance.

While she knows how to make a other wise dumb speech memorable; the real scary thing about Palin is she really believes she is qualified to be President.

Lycos also released its top 2008 search terms today ??? and shows some interesting distinctions from the Google list, not to mention some eye-opening findings about Americans??? interests. Poker and Paris Hilton topped the list with Sara Palin at #5. The Economic Crisis surpassed the Presidential Election as the top news event. The Dark Knight beat out Ironman in the movie category. Clay Aiken topped Barack Obama and Heath Ledger among men. Anna Kournikova beat out Michael Phelps among athletes. And Perez Hilton reigned supreme among blogs, beating out Drudge and Huffington Post. The Lycos report is here: http://50.lycos.com/

Oh please please please, let the GOP get a grip and not even contemplate Palin for 2012. Reading the rhetoric now is enough to last a decade.

I don't know why the CW arrow is pointing up for Sarah Palin. She's a political caricature of dumb ambitious politician that good for SNL but bad for the country. That's the reason for the Google hits and I'm not sure that she would like that if she knows the real reason.

She is fun to make fun of, that is for sure...

She is sort of a leaner meaner George Bush without the brains, if that is possible...

Speaking of GWB, I love how they are rewriting history to make him look good, the Bush legacy:)

Let me tell those people and Bush something. If GWB in the next couple of weeks solved world hunger, cured AIDS, created a vehicle that gets 200 miles to a gallon and runs on water, and rid this world of hunger, he would still owe Santa 33000 gifts. And the church 16000 hail mary's, ooppps he is not a catholic, I mean ne would need 15000 backwords dunks in teh pool wearing a 3 piece suit.

Basically, things are only going to look worse as more in uncovered. Good luck with the legacy thing. Maybe you should show his baby pictures or something.
