Well, looking at ur comment JOAQUIN tells me ur either delusional, stupid, or both. The ONLY thing the US needs from the PAKI's is thier port, Karachi. When another logistics route is found, the PAKI's may find themselves on the wrong end of a massive airstrike. The tribal areas do not belong to the PAKI's, they ceded it to the T-ban/AQ. Lets be very honest, Pakistan army is no doubt a very professional and brave army as compared to Indian and American. American army is dependent on Pakistan army where as Indian army,ha, talking about them is waste of words and thoughts. India should have spend all that money on the poor people inside india. They could have stood up and fough for india better. And perhsps,held india together. Attack Pakistan and its going to be just one or two Indian states fighting against Pakistan,for a day or two. The only reason stopping Indiafrom invading Pakistan is US pressure nothing else. Only because US has most of its troops in Iraq that US hands are tied military wise. Otherwise when US troops withdraw from Iraq Obama has already said he will center his attention on pakistan. Then US and NATO can invade Pakistan from west and India can invade from East. Paki Napak land is almost 400 miles wide - not very wide and about 1000 miles long. With narrow country like Pakistan, directly bypassing its cities and going straight for - rawalpindi and islamabad would be cakewalk - easier then iraq.
But before that 1 month of air raids and bombardment should already ensure Napak Paki surrender.
pakistan's day of reckoning will come - a little late but will come. paki days of deceit, lying , creating , supporting, sponsoring terrorists will come to an inglorious humiliating end.

when did this discussion stop being about pakistans needs for gear and more about attacking anyone with a less than flatterring view of the country... with all due respect to the fighting prowess of the pakistani army, the results are hardly anything to boast about (sticking to the current situation with no reference to any previous success) Plus the question mark on where the resources assigned are ultimately used has been long contested.
Besides pakistan has bigger issues (economic and social not military) to deal with..
