Finally! Great piece by Devin Gordon on our utilization of "linguistic iron fists" in this country. We allow the government to use violent language, often in oxymoron, such as "War on (fill in the blank)", and "Homeland Security" (reminiscent of the Third Reich. As for the dreaded czars, why don't we just call them "fuhrer"?
