    Obama is the change primate

One more highly evolved than most of us, including me, and I expect much more highly evolved than you.

    Re: Creationism
Man invented god in his image to fulfill his ego that he will live forever.
    Creationism is pseudo science.
Religion is an extension of mythology, as a worship of gods and the unknown, practiced throughout all early civilizations
    Evolution is a fact.

Whether by our fellow man or God, we are all ultimately judged by how we treat each other. You can no more show me your missing link than I can produce my God. My religious investment broker advises me to diversify. I would prefer ( if I have the strength ) to face death with some hope of a greater reward, than to assume that no one greater than myself will be theire at my passing. Darwinism and a beliief in God do not have to be mutuallly exclusive except in the world of the close-minded.

Thank you baldar, I have always called myself "Christian", but I am coming to think of myself as a deist, one who believes in God but does not subscribe to a religion. I believe in the Christ of the New Testament, but I do not believe in talking snakes and I could not figure out who Cain married, and I cannot reconcile the various teachings of religions. But the wonder of all and of humankind proves all I need proven. It is no longer necessary to reconcile the natural history that is evident and that it is all of God.

WHY ARE WE SO HYPNOTIZED BY ALL THWESE FOREIGNERS RUNNING OUR GOVERNMENTS AT ALL LEVELS ?

    • Posted By: tripcag1967 @ 12/17/2008 9:37:59 PM

Um, Jindal's parents immigrated from India legally and he was born here...on U.S. SOIL! That makes him a natural born citizen, therefore he can and should run.

  • Posted By: reformeddem @ 12/17/2008 9:25:11 PM

"The GOP's Obama?" Are you serious? Jindal has 3 lifetimes worth of actual accomplishment compared to Mr. President-Elect, who himself admitted his most qualifying experience for President was running a political campaign.

C'mon BOBBY, step up to the plate and run for President. Never say never!

  • Posted By: IluvNawlins @ 12/17/2008 8:38:45 PM

I like Jindal - he is the real deal and a good man. And I have been wondering when I would start reading more stories like this - comparing Jindal to Obama and calling him the GOP's Barack - they are similar in their drive and "salvation" type personalities. I hope he does what he promises and brings Louisiana out of the garbage hole its been in for the past, what, 200 years?? It's a great state with great people and a lot of potential and I think Jindal is our answer - finally. I would vote for him in a second if he ran for president - but I want to keep him around Louisiana for a long time.
BUT, I would seriously re-think him if he ever has Palin as a running mate - I am sure she is a good governor and mom, but she is not what this country needs in the White House - I am all for a woman in the White House - I am a woman too and I can't wait to see an honest one running the country- but not her. And not Clinton for pete's sake.

anthonyva, your comment about Intelligent Design shows your ignorance on the subject. Did you know that ID never mentions God and therefore cannot be called creationism? The main focus of ID is to identify specific patterns in nature that point to design and not to name who the designer is. Also, the overwhelming majority of ID scientists do not believe that the earth is only 6000 years old becuase of the scientific evidence that the earth is around 4.5 billion years old. I guess that science is only called science though when it supports materialistic naturalism aka Dawrinian evolution. You should get your facts and terminology striaght before you label someone a creationist.

I did not finish my last post. Anyway the designers of ID deliberately left out God, so that they could get it into public schools.

    • Posted By: epryor @ 12/17/2008 8:01:25 PM

Intelligent design is pseudoscience, designed to sneak creationsim into public schools with no basis in reality or logic. If he believes in this, he

This guy is good.He puts Obama to shame. He does not use the race and minority cards and is very intelligent and seems to very knowledgeable of his country and the world itself. He speeks for hisself and knows what he is doing.Obama is a puppet being controlled by those that set up the last election scenario which will fall flat on it's face

I like this guy.He is in no way like Obama. For one he dosn't seem to use the race and minority cards and for another he is highly intelligent and very knowledgeable of his country and the world, something that Obama seems to be very ignorant about

wonder if you'll see democrats jump all over conspiracy theories about jindal and his hindu roots...must be a terrorist right! hahaha the far will laud him and praise him yet buy into ridiculous consiracy theoriies about obama! that faction of the GOP is so far removed from reality it amazes me! and here you go with a guy who pushes the teaching of intelligent deisgn aka creationism...which means he thinks the earth is only 6000 yrs old! seriously people!

    • Posted By: Ditto @ 12/17/2008 7:42:36 PM

Dear anthonyva: You're right, it's very hard to accept creationism. By the way, could you try to "cientificaly" prove
the other theories? And what would it be more fulfilling to your own ego, to claim you're a product of a brainless
bacteria, being your close-ones just monkies, or make an equal effort and claim you were designed by an intelligent
maker? Try to prove either one and wieigh carefully the repercussions of each. You'll be surprised!!! Meanwhile I
keep on praying that either the monkey or The Creator will enlight you to decide.-

If the above is just true, I wonder if the US is, after all, going to come up from the disaster caused by the latest officials
who seemed to govern without any patriotism, not to mention without any qualifications for the job. It is refreshing to
find out that there are still Americans around. What is remarkable is that Jindal, Obama and who knows how many others
are, like the ones who started this great country, not necessarilly the types of citizens that had some how, sunk Ame-
rica. Look at it in any way you want it, doing your job based on conservative principles always gives good results.---

We desperately need ten Bobby Jindals in California to tame this uncontrolled governmental monster.

  • Posted By: gonavy01 @ 12/17/2008 4:18:12 PM

"Jindal looks more like a bashful science-fair contestant..."

Hey, nice stereotype. Would this reporter have written about Obama: "He looks like a reserve NBA basketball player" or "He likes like a an ex-con standing around arranging a drug deal"?

    • Posted By: tammy00981 @ 12/17/2008 6:54:23 PM

wow gonavy01, you are attacking a stereotypical statement by using multiple stereotypical statements about someone who didn't even write the article. Interesting...

In response to the title of this article, Bobby Jindal is far from being like Barack Hussein Obama. He doesn't have an assortment of suspect relationships with people like Tony Rezko (indicted by the FBI), Bill Ayers (terrosist who in his earlier days decided to bomb several Federal buildings), the wrong Reverend Jeremiah Wright (who said "Not God bless America but God *%&# America"), the currently indicted governor of Illinois, and their ilk. Also, he doesn't have the mainstream media swooning over him as if he's the savior of the world. Third, Bobby Jindal doesn't need the media to withhold the discussion of what he actually believes and stands for to avoid scaring the public because phrases like "spread the wealth" and "clinging to their guns and religion" aren't spewing from his mouth. Fourth, Bobby doesn't believe that to be patriotic you have to pay more in taxes, unlike Vice President Elect Joseph Biden. Fifth, while Barack Obama's resume is as thin as paper, Bobby Jindal's resume is quite impressive as this article explains. And just as Sarah Palin is a governor and not a less-than one term U.S. Senator, state senator, and community organizer, Bobby Jindal is the CEO of a state consisting of 4,287,768 employees, according to the 2006 population report of the U.S. Census Bureau. I could go on but I'll refrain. Interesting article.

Indian Americans have long had pretty strong ties to the MOST hardcore, hardline Republican/Conservatives. This had always seemed strange to me, since these conservatives tend to be less tolerant of non-whites, darker people, and immigrants. Indians (who DO vary from very "black" to near "white"- but are MOSTLY "BROWN") do not have the benifit that ,say Chinese and Japanese Americans have of being lighter skinned. This is partly why white Americans marry Indian-asians far less than lighter asians (despite these lighter asians having the same preferences for "marrying within").
After meeting quite a few Indian Americans, who had little toleranve for slights against them by BLACKS, but seemed to let really offensive treatment from WHITES roll off their backs, I began to wonder if their support for the extreme "ALL AMERICAN"- GRAND OLD FLAG party was tactical OR A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO BUY INTO THE HIGHEST "CASTES" AFTER LEAVING A COUNTRY WHERE YOUR PLACE IS SET FROM BIRTH!
I wish I could say they go Republican because they come from a culture that values hard work and morals. But I've seen too many Indians continue supporting "whiter"or "conservative" groups even after finding out that these groups DID NOT have the high values and work ethics Indians do! That and the fact that other "hardworking" ethnic groups are more varied in their political support makes me believe Indian Americans are trying to buy or earn a place in the higher American castes........which depends on other groups (blacks?....hispanics?) being viewed as the "lower".

I beg your pardon. I am an Indian American from the Midwest (and believe me; there are a lot like me!) who is a fervent Democrat, ardently liberal (I support gay rights; affirmative action and am pro-choice!); and who fervently supported Obama! Unlike Bobby Jindal - I do not seek Public office; and neither am I a Christian! I am a proud Hindu!
I have never once voted Republican; simply because I and a lot of other Indian Americans like me; do not identify with Republican values!
Yes we are hardworking, value education, are frugal with money etc. but these are hardly republican, democratic, white or black values - just common sense! We do not try and "buy into the highest caste" - who is to say what the highest caste is; with Obama in the White House?

Well Karina58, Freda747 did not say ALL Indian-Americans behave the same way but i must say that i have seen similar behavior and came to similar conclusions about some Indian-Americans...

An Indian Christian who agrees totally with you.
